He set up me up with a fitting with Ray a few days later. The fitting made a world of difference and I felt like I had a new bike! I had to change saddles a week later and knew it was off just a bit. I stopped in on a ride and Ray spent another few minutes to make sure it was positioned correctly. While the bike business is booming they always seem to make time to answer a question or two or help out when needed. Keep in mind I'm riding a 10 year old bike so I'm not in there throwing money around to get service. It's just what they do. It's great when you find a business that goes the extra mile these days and they do it with a smile and professionalism not always found these days.

We spent over $200 on a new brake system for my 12-year-old son's e-bike, only for it to be returned to us with non-functioning brake lights. The shop failed to mention that the new system would disable this safety feature, and we only discovered the hazard when a friend pointed it out. When we reached out to rectify this, the shop was unwilling to help. Other mechanics have since confirmed the entire system must be replaced again to restore the lights. I am incredibly disappointed that my son's safety was disregarded. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

The owner promptly found the problem (derailer was rubbing), adjusted my tire pressures, then watched me ride to assess the brakes. He proceeded to make necessary adjustments. While I was waiting, I talked to him about bike seats and he explained the different styles and densities. I chose one that he immediately offered to switch out, then had me ride again to check seat height and position. My bike is MUCH more comfortable now and rides like new. Pricing was fair. I also really liked how is all the questions we were having with them when they were not 100% sure about something, instead of making it up or pretending, they said effectively, I think the answer is this but let me double check so I don't quote you the wrong battery life or wait on the bike car rack. Also, this location is their 'clearance center' so everything is seemingly on sale and it is huge so they have everything ad have a huge service and maintenance area which I think i probably becoming a bigger and bigger deal as more people are going to pedal assist e-bikes which is what we did. Generally we ride pretty flat areas but if we are riding hills or going a long way the pedal assist ebike is really nice. You don't have to use it but it allows people of different levels to go on rides together and lets you not have to avoid longer or harder rides because you know you can turn on the pedal assist if you want or need to. Lastly, they folks there make sure you know the features of whatever you are buying. It isn't a take it home and go on the internet or dive into the manual, even though you can always do that. They actually walk you through how it works and also say to come back in anytime with questions. Totally a lost art in service that it is cool to see still exists in some places.

They carry some higher end brands that others don't carry as well as a good bit of E Bikes. This is what we came in for today. The young man that helped us out was so friendly and talkative. He was so patient with my wife as she looked at a few bikes and tested an E Bike outside. They have some higher end Pinarello bikes as well as some other brands. Very nice and super light carbon fiber frames, sadly it was not testable since the components are electronic, and they were not charged when we were in there. The store is in an older location and the parking lot and test ride area is small, but the store is well kept inside and looks good. It has a full ship for repairs, adjustments, and additions. The E Bike we tested, it was super nice. We will be bake to purchase soon.

Cannot recommend Hilltop Bicycle Center highly enough…read more I am a casual rider with a sporting-goods-store-quality bike that I started riding more seriously last year. I was having trouble with my gears so I began researching bike shops. Not being a serious rider, I had two concerns: 1) being sold services/repairs I did not need and 2) "bike snobs" because I do not have a fancy bike. After reading reviews and comparing prices, I chose Hilltop Bicycle Center and wow...what a great experience! Josh was working on a bike out front of the shop when I drove up. He went into the shop when he saw me, greeted me and asked how he could help when I walked in. I told him about my bike and the problems I was having. He had me bring my bike in, listened to my issues, looked at my bike and made a few different price-level recommendations. In my head, I chose what I wanted to get done based on the options I was presented, but I asked Josh what he thought I needed just to see if he would try to up-sell me. His suggestion was right in line with what I thought I needed without trying to sell me the other services I really do not need right now. They did a mini-tune up on my bike, replaced the chain (Josh showed me how to tell it was worn and needed to be replaced) and I purchased hand grips which they installed. They did great work at a VERY fair price. Everybody at the shop was friendly, they answered my simple questions without making me feel stupid and, just like Josh promised, my bike feels brand new after they finished with it. Hilltop Bicycle obviously knows how to take care of serious bikers and offers a lot of services for them, but I found them to be extremely fair and friendly to a casual biker such as myself as well. I will return here for any of my biking needs and if I get "more serious" and ever look to upgrade my bike, I will be shopping here.
