Service was pretty good. Margaritas were way too weak but refreshing in a 7 up kinda way. Carnitas meat was ok, fajitas were good. Nothing spectacular, but good very Americanized Mexican. Chiles toreados were just ok ... the best places cook them with onions and some spice. Not here. Course I could have asked for them that way. read more

From the outside it doesn't look like much but the inside is spacious and clean. They have a bar and tvs as well. Very comfortable setting. Staff was extremely nice. Got the chimichangas and Texas fajitas. Both delicious. I will return. This will be my new Mexican place. Loved it read more

the chile verde is heavenly, perfectly marinated tender chunks of pork served with rice, refried beans and tortillas. good drink prices and specials, friendly staff, monday night karaoke when I visited, nice atmosphere. I had low expectations for a Mexican restaurant in West Virginia having lived in New Mexico for years, but was pleasantly surprised. Yes there are Tex-Mex or Ameri-Mex items on the menu like chimichangas since they have to satisfy the cravings of a highly Anglo WV crowd; but the food and service are quite good. My boyfriend and I came here for his hour dinner break. We were seated next to the karaoke in the corner, which we didn't mind, then forgotten about for the next 25 minutes because I don't think anyone saw us. I'm not one to complain and pretty understanding when it's busy but we were worried he was going to be late for work and I told the host that we had been there a little while and no one had come to us and she was pretty rude then a man came up to me asked where I was sitting and took care of us so well bless him, so I tipped him hella good. Placed an order for 2 enchiladas supremes: both without beef and instead 2 bean enchiladas. Confirmed on the phone like 3 times no beef, double bean. Ended up with 2 orders of only chicken and cheese. Wish I didn't leave a tip. read more

Nice New Mexican Restaurant and bar, spacious and clean renovation of what used to be a Thai and Filipino place (which I also loved). Not gourmet or unusual dishes but good basic Mexican, large menu, good drinks too. A little hidden behind train tracks one block from a busy thoroughfare and hospital. I visited this very out-of the-way restaurant for lunch one Saturday because of all the good reviews on here. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. First, out waiter seemingly did not speak English at all. We had questions about the menu that were all unanswered because he didn't understand and didn't even understand that we were asking if someone else could come over and answer us. We finally gave up and used the menu to point to our orders. Someone else delivered our beverages and some chips and two of the drinks were wrong-- that server also did not speak English very well but did eventually correct the order. Next, the food. The chips were stale, like really stale. Inedible. The salsa seemed pretty good but without chips, it was mostly wasted. I got my go-to dish for whenever I try a new Mexican place, the seafood chimichangas. They were like no other I've ever had. And not in a good way. Instead of seeing whole shrimp or pieces of crab, the filling is a seafood "puree." It reminded me of the canned seafood variety of cat food that I give my kitty. I really couldn't get past that. One of my friends ordered a taco salad which was very heavy on the lettuce and very light on the chicken. The other friend ordered the burritos supreme platter with no sauce but because of the language barrier the platter was absolutely smothered in enchilada sauce. She didn't try to send it back based on the experience we had sending back two drinks and ate some of it. Finally, the service. Even putting the language problem aside, the service was bad. We were there at 1:30 on Saturday, there were only two other tables besides us. We seemed to be the only party that our waiter had and he never came back after dropping off the food. Never checked in, never offered drink refills and didn't even bring the bill. After waiting a very long time, we just wandered up to the register and asked to be checked out! The cashier asked how was everything was and my friend reported that her order was wrong and the waiter never came back after he brought it and that we didn't enjoy our lunch. Her response "that's too bad." I'll tell you what's bad--this place! read more

I feel the quality of ingredients is poor. The beef tacos are so greasy that the shells are mushy and fall apart. Also I didn't enjoy their chicken burrito, the shredded chicken was tough and I didn't enjoy the flavor. The positives are they can seat a large party quickly, the prices are reasonable, and service was fine. read more
