I took my car to another local repair shop I always went to and trusted, they were bought out recently. They quoted all kinds of things to fix, some I believed, some were outright lies! One lie was that the battery needed to be replaced and they would happily do that for $425, yeah, I bet you would! The problem was THEY had just replaced the battery 14 months earlier (much cheaper then) when the shop was under different ownership and it had a 4 or 5-year warranty! Immediately I was suspicious. They also said I needed a brake job, alignment, motor mounts, and a new power steering pump. The power steering pump was quoted at over $2000 total, the labor alone was quoted at about $1500! How many hours or days does this one job take to justify $1500? I am no expert, but it would seem they probably get around $150 per hour, but certainly not more than $175, so $1500 would mean 8- 10 hours! I looked up how long the job takes online for my car and found it can take about 3.5 hours, and an experienced mechanic can do it in just over an hour or two so not sure what that place is doing. After doing my own research I knew I had to go somewhere else. I knew the brakes and the power steering needed to be addressed so I called Plaza. I spoke to Justin who was extremely helpful and professional and made an appointment for the next day and dropped the car the evening before. I asked them to do the brakes and alignment after getting a quote. I also requested that, if at all possible, to have my car finished by 3 pm, they called at 2 pm and it was ready! They did the brakes and alignment for quite a bit less than the other shop quoted, checked my battery which it turns out is fine, and gave me a quote to fix the power steering that was a FULL $800 cheaper (parts and labor) than the other shop quoted and that is without the coupon online. I will be calling Plaza in a few months to do the power steering pump. I think I have found my new car repair shop! read more

this place is Horrible! I go to get a set of tires and plaza tire messes up 5 different times, I had to go back up to the store 5 times! They went as far as letting air out of my tires to stop the wobble/shake. Then they sent me to another store where they said my rim wasn't bent and they put it on the back passenger side where I wouldn't feel the wobble as bad! I talked to Keith; which was just like oh well you have to get a new rim at my cost out of my pocket for there mistakes! My rims were fine until they let air out of my tires to try and get over on me. The first 4 times when the management was looking at it they was fine! They even charged me for an alignment to bleed more money out of me! I would recommend anyone to stay away from these guys! I'm so upset I have to go through all this trouble just for a set of tires! I really hopes this saves someone the stress of dealing with these crooks. read more

I am not sure how the current rating is so low. I recently punctured my tire (i have no idea how, a nail on the road maybe?) and the situation was quite dire. i made an appointment with plaza tire that night (thank the lord i was able to schedule something the next day), and they actually called me early in the morning to say that if i brought my car in early they could see me ahead of schedule the work was done fairly quickly and the cost was super reasonable. I needed a tire mounted onto a John Deere riding mower. Was turned away from another tire shop (Dobb's) because I didn't purchase the $50 tire from them (they could have installed it but wouldn't). Plaza was SUPER friendly & helpful. Mounted the tire while I waited (20 min start to finish). Bottom line, this was a small job, but you can absolutely be sure I will be buying my next set of tires on my truck through Plaza. Driveway Mechanic Here: Decided to lower my car, took it to one of their locations that could properly align it. They then wanted me to come back and drop it off at another location for a "alignment specialist" to check it out. Decided to drop it off the night before, when they called me in the morning they tried talking to me like a 12 year old. They also listed up "issues" such as -My wheels are touching or "on" the frame so it is un drive-able -All my suspension parts are all seized up and I will need ALOT of suspension components (according to them) They then told me that the car is un-drive-able. Then when I asked for the Technician that was asked to work on this car the same fellow hung up the phone and called back saying that this "Technician" DROVE the car they already told me was un-drive-able to another location (alignment rack height reasons). I went silent for a while deciding what to do and the technician even OFFERED TO FIX THE PARTS that where "broken" or "seized" up. After they told me they can't work on it because it's too low. When I went to pick my keys up the man at the counter first told me that, "a-lot of the suspension parts are loose, and you shouldn't be driving it at all" I thought they told me it was seized... so after a very unproductive, unprofessional conversation (basically the guy kept interrupting me about made up stuff) I asked him on my way out, "are my suspension parts seized up? Or too loose?" He says, "Oh yea everything's seized up, good luck!" I got in my car and my odometer had a extra 56 miles on it and barley any gas. The shop he was taking it to is maybe less then 10 miles down the street. So I called around and the other shops wanted to wait too long to align it. I took matters into my own hands and did a at home alignment and it took me 5 hours as I was very tedious and writing everything down and double/triple checking my measurements. I just had a full set of tires replaced on my vehicle. Let me tell you, I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews for this location. Since they had in stock the tire and size that I needed, I gave them a try. I set up an appointment online 5 days prior and arrived as scheduled. Surprisingly, the appointment was not on their schedule, but the tires were available. Credit to the front desk tech, he honored the online appointment and pricing. However, he made me aware of a service backlog for the morning but promised to complete the tire service within 2-3 hours. 2 hours later, the tires were replaced and I was on my way. The staff were professional and courteous. They were forthcoming on the service backlog and the issue with online scheduling. I will consider this location for future services but I will keep in mind to call them instead of using the online scheduler. It's rather surprising how many auto service centers, not just Plaza, are not tied in to the online scheduler. Thankfully this location's inventory does seem to be tied in. read more

Plaza Tire on Highway K... I normally give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt by not not giving bad reviews on the first issue, but after the second time I can truly say there is an issue. In this case there is a real problem. I've had 3 vehicles serviced at this location including purchasing a full set of tires, alignment, oil changes, and tire repair. Oil changes have been fine and typically were done while waiting, but on two separate occasions the technicians have had issues with the tire valve stems and the TPM sensors. The first time it happened was when I bought the full set of tires. When they finished the job I noticed that the tire light was still on and the pressure read zero for one of the tires. They said it should reset after driving down the road at speed for a bit but in this case it never reset. Back to the shop I go and another tech tries to reset the sensor, and they end up replacing the sensor. Ok, they made this right, but they should have caught this before releasing the car and calling me, and then I had to wait for them to dismount the tire and replace the sensor. They admitted that they probably broke it during the dismounting. 11/12/21 - 2nd time I take a different vehicle in for oil change and a slow leaking tire with the check tire light on. I've been watching this tire for some time as I have been putting air in about once per month. My wife would always tell me the light just came on, I would fill the tire and everything looked fine until the next month when the light would come back on and I would add a few pounds of air - typical slow leak. The shop patches the tire and and gives me the key after paying but the light is still on. I drive back to the house expecting it to reset but it never does. Back to the shop. They tell me that the wheel did not have a sensor when they patched it and thought that I brought it in to them knowing it did not have a sensor because the light was on when I brought it in. No. The light was on because the pressure was low and I did not bother airing it up before getting it patched. I can look past the usual attempts to up sell me a set of tires even though there's still plenty of tread, but they proceeded to tell me that they will charge me $50+ to install a sensor that they broke and lost. This is what I call adding insult to injury. I'm done with Plaza Tire on K and will not recommend them to anyone. Now I have to find another place to get a new TPM sensor installed at my expense. read more

The DMV told me I could get an emissions done without an appointment. I came here and the service guy on the phone was selling a tire job. He told the guy he could bring in the car now and get 4 new tires. When he hung up he told me he could not get me in without an appointment. I said you just told that guy to come in. I have been a long time customer of this plaza tire location. The family has 5 cars serviced here. Never again. I needed a safety and emissions inspection and was told safety failed due to a small chip in the extreme lower corner of the window. I was surprised but filled it with epoxy and returned for a re-inspection a couple of days later. At the next visit, the inspection failed because dried epoxy was still on the windshield making flaking epoxy a "safety hazard." I was very frustrated. I drove home, used a razor blade to complete the epoxy scrape, and immediately returned for a third visit. Again, they failed the vehicle. They alternately said there was an underlying tape that would not pass. This was simply a municipal sticker on the inside of the windshield unrelated to the chip or repairs. They then said that it just simply failed and that I should take it to the highway patrol office and see if they would pass it and have them call Plaza to direct Plaza to pass it. That was the last straw. At every step I complied politely with the issue causing the failure. At each step, they brought up a new reason to fail it until they just gave up and told me to go the highway patrol. This was unbelievably unprofessional and short sighted. I will let everyone I know asking for repair shop recommendations where not to go and will retell this as the reason why. Before posting this, I emailed this complaint to the corporate office to try to resolve it privately and received no response. Their unwillingness to communicate with customers cemented my decision to quit them forever and let others know of my experience. read more

I can't leave a negative star or I would. Total scumbags. Told me I failed safety inspection because of a tinted light. It's like going to the doctor for an eye exam, only thing is your blind. I would say that most places and people would tell u the thing to do when that glaringly obvious, have you fix it, maybe do the work for u, then pass u. But not charge u for it and definitely tell u before they waste your time. Got into an argument and gave me the pay or we are going to keep your vehicle. So then that becomes theft because you can't put a mechanics lien on a vehicle without filing the correct paperwork and going to court, so either way they will intimidate you if you don't pay. Pretty much what you would expect from a chain tire store. They got my tires done quickly on short notice, which I really appreciate. Prices seem in line with other similar places locally. Make sure you ask for the lifetime alignment, they didn't just offer it to me. Overall good. read more

Years ago I purchased the "lifetime alignment". To date, I have only been able to use it the very first time - the same day it was purchased. Every time I try to get said alignment, I am told of some repair that needs to be done before they can do they the alignment. I actually fell for it the very first time. I paid over $1,000 for repairs that I now believe I never even needed. The second time around I was again advised repairs were needed first. I took my car to another shop for a second opinion and was told everything was fine and they even did the alignment at no charge. Just last week the very same thing happened again with Plaza Tire. I was told that in order to do the alignment, I would need new tie rods first. Once again, I went for a second opinion and was told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with either inner or outer tie rods. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to this place for another scam. They not only billed me for unnecessary repairs but also for a lifetime alignment that they refused to let me take advantage of. If this isn't illegal, it certainly should be. read more
