Pleasure House Brewing absolutely earns praise for where they came from and how they have improved year after year. The owner Drew has worked his butt off to ensure PHB success. They have had distribution in the past, however that may have changed. The new location was a fantastic strategy to put the name with the road. However the building deserves huge credit as an overall perfect fit to renovate for their purposes. I can always find something I enjoy and also take advantage of rotating food trucks. Keep up the great work.

We hosted my friends baby shower at Pleasure House a couple weeks ago and it was such a great experience!! They were so responsive via email about any questions we had and sent pictures quickly if they needed to. The private room was the perfect size for a small shower, and I've been here for a birthday party in the private room before as well. Outside of private events, they have really great beer and plenty of space to hang out, spread out with friends, and chill. Shark Tears is my favorite thing on the menu, and they usually have some new variations of it or a seltzer on tap as well.

Pleasure House, despite its name, is a cool brewery in Virginia Beach. Once you park in their lot, you can go to either sides of the building since there are bars in both with a game room, bathrooms and seating in the middle. They also have fire pits outside near a food truck, live music and a Saturday art bazaar. In terms of beer, they have something for everyone from stouts to IPAs to sours. If you don't know what to order, ask the bartenders. They are very friendly and chatty and happy to steer you in the right direction.

Cute spot that I would imagine gets very busy in the evenings. When we drove up, we immediately noticed that they have a decent amount of parking available. We parked out back and utilized their outdoor seating and back bar area. The gentleman working wasn't friendly, which made the experience a little BLAH since it wasn't busy. I ordered their Limoncello seltzer and my husband got a beer. They were both okay; but we didn't love either one. We thought it was cool that they had a food truck on site so ordered some snacks. The food was lacking flavor big time. If our customer service was great and welcoming OR if they had a good food option... this place would be such a cool spot to hang out, but we just didn't get that experience.

I love this place. If you want great beer, good vibes, and a more local feel....then come here. I am a club member and that gets me a bigger pour of beer, and a discount. Ask the folks that help you what the membership is all about. It's well worth it. Pleasure House to me, is split up into two areas. There is the front side which has the AC and the ever important bathrooms, and the back which has a split level set up with an outdoor patio and an open air area. We usually hang in the back but no worries, you can get your beer in both areas. Of course you can buy beer to take home, and there are scheduled food trucks each day. What's NOT to like??? Well done.

Pleasure House has moved to Pleasure House Road and they are making the best of COVID-19 by keep a stand going outside with growlers and bottles of their finest brews. I stopped by today to do a quick grab & go and was not disappointed. I got to take a quick walkthrough of the new building and saw the bar, game rooms, tasting rooms, other event rooms and back patio area... it's awesome! Can't wait for things to get back to normal so we can partake. It really ties the Pleasure House road beer tour together with it's own personal style. And then there's the beer. I bought a bottle of Day Pirate Belgian Golden Ale. It's my new favorite beer! It's a smooth and tasty ale with just the right balance of hops and barley. They're also doing growler fills. I plan on going back to check out the rest of the beer menu.

First time at their new location! Very open!!!! Lots of space!!! Lots of activities to do! They do have a chalk wall area as well. For the parents. They have a changing table!!! Staff is awesome! Walked up, he asked what I like. And then proceeded to give me 3 samples! They have coffee, pastries and non alcoholic beverages as well! The outdoor area was perfect! Shaded. Fireplace. Dogs allowed! Definitely the perfect place for an awesome spring time!

What's better than stopping at a brewery after sitting on the beach all day? I'd say next to nothing. Pleasure House is conveniently located in the Virginia Beach area, close to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. It's a few minutes away from Commonwealth Brewing, too, for anyone who wants to brew hop! My friend and I stopped in and selected flights. I chose five tasters for $8 -- the Shucker's Single, No Waves, Papy's Favorite Tart Key Lime Ale, DuckIn Saison, and Irish August. I also snagged a half pint of the Shark Tears, as it was Shark Week, I had it previously, and I prefer sours. I'd say all the beers were pretty nice -- none life-changing -- and I appreciate that they sell more than just IPAs. It's nice to diversify! Shark Tears was definitely my favorite by a long shot. The atmosphere was chill and nondescript. Nothing fancy; it's in a little strip mall. Totally would've grabbed a hot dog from the place next door had it still been open. Staff was friendly. When I mentioned it was my first visit and my face was taking over their digital Untappd screen at the bottom of the tap list, he gave me a free sticker. Pretty nice gesture! It seemed they had regulars too, and the space was full of patrons for the duration of our visit. Always a good sign! I'd consider a return if I find myself back in the area.

We stopped by Pleasure House after we tried to visit Commonwealth Brewing but it was NUTS. I mean PACKED. Not exactly our scene during COVID. Luckily this spot was right down the street and super chill! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating--including a bar facing a wall that is completely open to the outside--my husband remarked that it felt like indoor dining with training wheels, haha. There are also a couple of fire pits. The outdoor seating has very nice ambiance--not what I was expecting from the front of the brewery which was fairly nondescript. They had a Filipino food truck there that we did not try, but it smelled really good! We did try several beers, and I love love loved that they offer half pints so you can try a few without getting too tipsy. Great selection, incredibly fairly priced, this spot was perfect for a spring evening!

Visited a ton of breweries while in town and PH was on the hitlist. I'll start with the fact they have great customer service - super nice bartender answered my questions and took care of me amidst a packed house. It was packed for Trivia night actually. So if you're into trivia this is a cool spot for that. Smelled like shit in there when we first arrived. but I think it was caused by someone's BO... because the smell subsided after a while. or maybe the dog farted Imperial cream ale- really nice. Creamy and smooth. Great flavor 3 hoopties IPA - subtle. Drinkable/crushable. Shore drive brunch - Belgian brown with maple syrup. Man wish this had more maple syrup: nice but not my favorite Obs export Stout - nitro meh. Smokey. It was thick, but didn't love the flavor. Shockers spring with strawberry and basil pale ale - didn't get the strawberry or basil. Subtle. It was light and crisp but didn't love it. Admittedly I live in a city that has some amazing craft breweries so the bar is high for me. While these beers weren't anything that blew my mind this is a cool spot to have a cold beer and hang with friends.

What a wonderful find. It has great seating options inside and outside, front of the house and back of the house. Very friendly and helpful staff. Several different beers on the menu. Didn't investigate food, not sure there was anything maybe a food truck?

When the first location opened I lived on Shore Drive and was so excited, this brewery quickly became my favorite. Years later I am even more excited that they were able to move to a larger space to make it easier to share their business with more people.

This review actually has two great businesses because I visited Klassic Doughnut's food truck too! Ok first things first. Every Wednesday through this Summer Klassic Doughnuts food stand will be available at COVA 8-11 AM. They are in my opinion the best cake doughnuts in our area. They are a major draw for COVA. I purchased a few to go. With COVA I specifically wanted to try their coffee. I was blown away upon arrival to see their outdoor space. It's huge and beautiful. On a weekday at 11 AM without school even out was busy! The counter service was helpful and friendly. I told the staff I wanted a black coffee and was directed to what beans were being offered. I opted for an Ethiopian pour over. The coffee comes in a large and priced competitive. It took a bit with being busy and a pour over, but boy was the wait worth it. Probably the best coffee I've had in any recent memory and I drink a lot of coffee. The space inside is compact, but they offer a side patio that's covered too! COVA is late to offering coffee, maybe 5 years or so. However, they are established with brewing award winning beer. I chatted with a female brewer a minute who was so sweet and invited me back for a glass. They also have a bakery case with offerings that looked good. So I need to return. So exciting to share such a gem in East Beach. Parking may be an issue, but off street neighborhood streets are available.
