A group of colleagues and i went in for a Friday night detox after a rough first week back of teaching online. We have visited this establishment multiple times after work and on weekends and for the first time last night (8/21/20) we were informed of a 45 minute rule apparently meaning that after we ordered food we only had 45 minutes to stay and continuing ordering drinks. When we tried to order another round we were told that we couldn't because our 45 minutes were up. Our waitress not once refilled our water, and only stopped by after our food was delivered to just bring us our checks. Not once did our waitress ask us if we wanted another round when our food was delivered or when we had completed our meal if we had wanted another round of drinks or dessert. When asking for a manager the manager stated that they were enforcing a 45 minute rule due to their wait. I have been going to Pluckers for about 10 years now at several different locations and i have never heard of this 45 minute rule. If you as an establishment are going to enforce a "45 minute rule" put it on your freaking front door and also tell us that when you put us on your wait before we even sit down. read more

This was our first time to Pluckers in Grapevine. We had a great first time experience and really enjoyed the atmosphere and awesome wings. We ordered 50 and got to try five different flavors. We stuck with the usual garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, and tried the spicy Mandarin, spicy ranch and teriyaki. The size of the wings were surprisingly big. It was definitely worth the money and very delicious. This is even better than Wingstop and especially better than Buffalo Wild Wings. The food also came out super fast and hot. This review is for takeout only! As a wing connoisseur, I'm not sure what took me to long to try this God send! I ordered the Baker's Gold and spicy lemon pepper (all drums of course...fight me if you disagree that that's the only way to go lol). Y'all...I wish I ordered more sauce because I would dip anything, including my left toe, in these sauces. Seriously, they're SOOOOO good. I finished half of my wings on the way home because they were delicious and I'm a glutton who can't wait for my waaaangs. And that brings me to the disappointment of the meal...the fries. I'm sure they had potential, but they weren't hot when I got them, which could just be because I ordered takeout. Nevertheless, I got them tossed in the spicy ranch seasoning which was too overpowering (read salty), so if I got them like this again I would ask for light seasoning. My first time to this location, it was laid out awkwardly, and it seemed a bit bland like it needed a makeover! It was packed despite covid going on, which was a bit unsettling! The service was terrible, our waitress was inattentive, we weren't greeted with a smile or any enthusiasm, she seemed as she was over it! She never came to refill our drinks, we kept having to remind her of what we needed. She was cleaning tables more then attending to us. The tea had a weird taste to it, so I changed it out for a Coke, which also had a weird taste to it, like watered down. The waffle fries were cold and soggy, and my salad had old lettuce. I don't want to give too much of a negative review, more like a bad experience that like never happens. It is Valentine's Day night and for a party of 2 I waited an hour and 15 minutes to get seated with no complaints, I'm a server myself and so I was fully understanding of the situation. I get seated and the server was decent she got our drink and food orders in and she was polite. But she only checked on us once, never offered any refills the entire hour I was dining and and never came to make sure we were okay until the very end when we were finished, we finished our food and drinks and were sitting for half an hour before she came to give us our check, and mind you she was checking up on her other THREE tables and making sure they had refills and to-go boxes, and she even greeted and placed an order to a new table that she got an hour after us, I don't know, for a 4 table section and she never checked up on us and was very quick to leave really gave a bad experience. I was there since 6:30pm on a wait, and didn't leave until around 9 and it was mostly because I was sitting there for half of my dining experience with empty cups and trays and plates, the food and speed that it came out was great, but it definitely felt like she ignored us the entire night. I think her name was Taya, but yeah not a good Valentine's Day experience for me or my date, I would've been better off ordering Togo wings from wingstop and getting a better service read more

Well I was hoping the slow service was just a fluke because it was busy and we had a large group but the second visit in tthe same week produce the same result from the same server. Luckily on the second visit one of the managers noticed the issue and came to the rescue to handle getting my drink and food order. This is my 2nd visit here at pluckers and I can honestly say that their staff is always making sure you are taken care of! Our waitress Nickie was very sweet and attentive. We ordered fried pickles and the fried cheese sticks and the cheese sticks were soooooooo amazing! They are HUGE and so cheesy! The fried pickles were not my favorite but! If you love pickles you'll definitely like them. For my entree I ordered the dirty patty melt and when they first brought it out my meat was under cooked to where it was still bleeding and turned my Texas toast pink. It was disgusting, and the Texas toast wasn't even toasted. It was definitely rushed when they first brought it out to me, which was weird because we were there right at lunch time (12:00pm) and it wasn't busy AT ALL. We sent it back and the manager did come out and agree that it was under cooked. But by the time I got my food back made fresh, I wasn't hungry :( It made great left overs though! But to sum up my experience here at pluckers I can honestly say they have great customer service, the staff was amazing AND kids eat free on Tuesdays!!! How cool is that!!! We've ordered from this Pluckers a handful of times this past year and issues have progressively gotten worse. We've gotten to-go at least 5 times and each time we call the number on the sign to let them know we've arrived but end up having to go in because no one answers the phone or we sat on hold 10+ minutes. One time we were given the wrong order, but it had the correct receipt taped to it so we didn't know until we got home. The last time we tried to go in for sit-down we were told the wait was 2 hours... at 4pm. My final straw with this location, I got food poisoning last week. One of my wings was covered in gray fuzzy hairs which I didn't noticed until I was halfway through eating it, was horribly sick by morning. 5 starts for service but just 2 stars for food. JACKSON'S service was OUTSTANDING! He was super fun and friendly, checked on us frequently, got our order perfectly right and made good suggestions on what wings flavors to try. We came in on a weeknight to watch the Rangers game (every time we go to GlobeLife they lose but miraculously we are at Pluckers and they win) -- and we intentionally did not come on a football night because I know how packed it gets. Perhaps that was our mistake because I bet the food tastes better when it's super crazy busy. Love love the amount of sports on the tv's (not just the game of the night) and the trivia screens and cute dining room but dang the wings were just not up to par! We came for the wings (tried 4 different varieties: asian, garlic parmesan, buffalo and lemon pepper) but they were so DRY and had been partially cooked already so they were super tough and chewy. I know it takes a long time to fry up wings and we wouldn't been fine waiting if only they had done this! When you pre-cook the wings and then fry again it makes them impossible to chew. We had to drench them in blue cheese and eat tons of celery to make up for it. Maybe then it's a negative calorie food because I was chewing so much on the tough wings that my teeth hurt so I must be burning more calories than I was consuming. I used to be a huge fan of pluckers back in the day! I still like it, but man the prices went up here since the last time I got here. The lowest entree is at least $12 which sucks cause it wasn't that high before. Pluckers is still a great place to watch games and hang with friends! I love the set up this restaurant and all the tvs. Their food still tastes great! I got the boneless wing basket which is like chicken tenders. I got the gochujang and bakers gold, such delicious sauces. I do like the tenders but the wings have more flavor in my opinion and usually in general cause the bone helps keep that flavor. Another complaint I had was the entree came with a side of fries and it was like 5 pieces of fries. I was pretty upset with that, I can't believe that was all the fries I got. The fries are good but man that's just insane for the small portion! The waitress we had was awesome though, even during the busy day with everyone watching the game, she still took care of us so well! If it weren't for the prices and fries portion, my rating would definitely be higher! read more
