Was out visiting Grapevine and decided to eat at Pluckers. We were excited that one was close to us- we usually go to the North Dallas Location. We ordered wings (100) and 2 burgers. They forgot the burgers, I had to remind them - the waitress said they forgot and cooking it on the fly. After waiting 15 more minutes I asked the Manager. He said he would check and 5 minutes later he came out with them and they were burnt. Needless to say the reason I gave 2 stars is they took it off the bill. read more

We had a great first experience trying this restaurant. I wish I could remember our server's name, but he was very attentive and brought us out a few fried pickles for free since it was our first time visiting. All of our food was delicious and the wings were amazing. I was bragging about them at my place of work the next day (and I work at a different wing joint)! I think at the end we had trouble getting our server to pay us out, but he seemed busy so no worries. Ok, so my wife and I absolutely love Pluckers.... so we have nothing bad to say about their food and service. Our quarrel is with the cleanliness of the Grapevine location. I've been to the Pluckers at South Lamar in Austin, lovers lane in Dallas, the Addison location, and the Plano location. All of them are clean except for the Grapevine location. I've been to this restaurant the most since it's close to our home. Each and every time we come here their lobby floors are dirty and their restrooms are even worse. The first thing that hits you is that there are a gazillion televisions lining the walls of the establishment -- each one tuned to a different sports channel. Who knew there were that many sports channels? The second thing you will notice is that the place is loud. I went at lunch and the lunch crowd didn't seem very large, but the acoustics of the place must swell the sound levels. The booths are long, but the tables are all kind of squished together and it makes the place feel too tight. Then there was our waiter. He squatted. He stood tall. He squatted. He stood tall again. He squatted...I felt like he was trying to get a workout in while he was working. I got the wings lunch special with the Dr. Pepper sauce and homemade potato chips on the side. The chips were so soggy and limp that I didn't bother to try one. The wings though -- yum! The wings were large and not overcooked. The sauce was sweet, with no hint of heat. That was disappointing as the menu indicated that the Dr. Pepper sauce was a medium on the heat scale. I wish they hadn't been so stingy with the amount of sauce on the wings. Another plus was that the ice tea was fantastic. Brewed and not at all cloudy. The ice didn't have that Grapevine water flavor either. Here is something that annoyed me -- if you ask for lots of sauce, Pluckers charges extra. If you ask for all flappers or all drums, Pluckers charges you extra. If you want two different flavors of wings in your order, Pluckers charges you extra. Overall, I might try it again, but the atmosphere, the seating, the waiter with the pogo stick legs and the noise level pushed it down the list. The fact that I have to pay extra for things that are standard at other wing places is annoying to me. Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters are in the same area and I like the atmosphere in both of those places much better. read more

I'm from Austin and pluckers is my all time favorite restaurant. I came to grapevine for a family trip and stopped at this pluckers location. Probably one of the worst experiences. First, the hostesses said a table for 6 would be an hour and a half wait when we checked on yelp and the wait was 0 minutes. We spoke to someone else and then were seated right away. We sat down and ordered and everything, food took forever but sometimes that happens, no worries. When we received our food, the fries were cold, wings were cold, and the ranch was warm to the point where it looked almost chunky. If you like pluckers, I would not recommend this location, just go to Austin . read more
