Now THIS is THE perfect date night spot! My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary here over the weekend. It was our first time. From the moment we pulled up to valet we were treated like royalty! The people, the atmosphere, the service, the food--EVERYTHING was out-of-this-world amazing! Our server, Amber, really made us feel special and the complimentary champagne was the icing on the cake. Speaking of cake--we ordered their famous 24-layered strawberry cake for dessert. Insane? Yes. But SO worth it! I highly recommend making reservations at least two weeks in advance. It is hard to get in;it's THAT great! Can't wait to go back!
I can't get over how yummy this place truly is! I don't go here for a steak though although their steak is good! Their martinis are phenomenal and I never ate a single bad thing on the menu. My favorites are the crispy tuna rice, salad, pizza and pasta zaza (thanks to our waiter who recommended to add a piece of the honey truffle chicken)!!! SOOOO GOOD!!! I've been here multiple times and every time can't wait to go back for more! Last time, we even got in to the VIP bar and that was amazing!! They have a different drink menu in there! Also, they have match books!
The food that we got was sooo good!! We ordered the Ozzy pizza, and the pasta zaza with chicken. To start, the ozzy pizza was so good. Between the arugula, the carmelized onions, filet mignon, and the drizzle of the balsamic on top, idk what my favorite part was. Definitely getting this again. Now onto the pasta zaza. This was so yummy! The chicken was tender, and flavorful. The pasta had a little hint of spice, and the Parmesan that it was topped with was delicious. We ordered the Mexican, and the spicy Mexican drink. Both were good, but nothing that was life changing.
Had such a fun girl's night out with friends. My friend suggested Drake's Hollywood. I loved the relaxed yet classy vibe. The food was really good too. The onion rings were hot and double crispy and the aioli and bbq sauce was a good compliment. The pizza was tasty and it was big enough to share and the cheese pull was on point. The cauliflower was sweet and tangy and my friends loved their pasta. I also tried the spicy Caesar salad not pictured which I would have again. The service was great and they had a QR code that helped with easy payment and splitting of the bill. Only downside was that we got charged $9 each for 4 bottles of water and we weren't sure we drank 4 bottles. Would I go back probably so on a date or with friends again.
This restaurant has been on my radar for a while although I got it to go. The food was excellent and the customer service was great. First off parking is a little type of valet was super cool, they let me grab my food to go and I was in and out quickly. The host was very nice and she did a great job. So was the manager. He made sure my order was coming and everyone was just firing on all cylinders. Top-notch customer service. From what I could tell, the restaurant is beautiful. I'll definitely come back here for dinner soon. Food: the pizza was great. Made fresh and full of flavor. Every single bite was phenomenal. I'll definitely come back and do a review, take more pictures of the inside and we'll grab a lot more dishes than just pizza. Easy five star review
Came here for my 7 year anniversary dinner on a Monday at 5:30 no wait came right in and got a booth! The vibes in there are unmatched I felt like I was back in time it was incredible! The food was delicious we go the loaded curly fries , the spicy Cesar, and the Zaza rigatoni with Italian sausage! My picky husband thought everything was incredible! He said oh I'll eat a salad like this lol
This place was such a beautiful vibe. It felt like you're at a timeless chic restaurant in NYC. The food was delicious. We got the steak pizza and broccolini and it was perfect. The steak was made perfectly - it was not too dry or uncooked. The pizza was thinly sliced, but not entirely heavy for the toppings. The broccolini was made to perfection, especially with the lemon juice drizzle I appreciated our waiter who was super kind and helpful on choosing what to try. I hope to come back again and try the rest of the menu.
I absolutely loved my evening at Drake's Hollywood! I surprised my fiancé with dinner here for his birthday and we both really enjoyed ourselves. Our reservation was originally for 9:45 but the team was able to squeeze us in 30 minutes early. The restaurant was really packed, the booths, tables and bar area. I loved the old Hollywood ambiance and low lighting. I also really appreciated the concept of high end steakhouse and pizza. Two of my favorite foods and I've just never seen it before together in luxe restaurant done so well. I also loved where our booth was located too, in a more quiet room to the right hand side still filled with other patrons but tucked away in a sense. To start we ordered a French 76 (their version of a 75 so with tequila) and an old fashion. For our appetizer we had the crab cake. The size was perfect! Nearly covered the plate and I loved the lemon and green onion garnishes as well. For our meals we ordered the filet (came with 2), ribeye and creamed spinach. Everything was delicious! My ribeye was so flavorful and juicy and even tasted just as great the next day (for left overs). For the birthday desert we shared a slice of cheesecake and our waiter brought out a sparkler too for aesthetics. A fun way to start off the birthday night. We throughly enjoyed ourselves! I would totally love to try other food options on their menu like their pizzas and pastas too.
After seeing all the hype about this restaurant on social media, I decided to have my birthday dinner here. Unfortunately, there was nothing spectacular about the food or the service. We arrived on time for our 7:15 reservation but the hostess instructed us to wait at the bar where we waited nearly 30 minutes before she called to ask if I was still in the building. I advised that I was at the bar where she told me to wait, she said to 'be on the lookout' for a hostess. A hostess then walked alongside the bar looking for me in the crowd. I called out to her to identify myself. We closed our bar tab and followed her to our table. Our waitress greeted us within seconds upon being sat but that was the best we got from her all night. The service was subpar for a restaurant at this price point. Our waters were never refilled, our appetizers were taken to the wrong table and our waitress put a half eaten dessert that wasn't mine in my to-go bag. There was a VERY strong chemical smell throughout the entire restaurant during our visit on 11/9. The smell was similar to oil or spray paint and was so bad you couldn't escape it, not even in the restroom. Not sure what that was about but wish I had asked. The smell was so overbearing you couldn't smell any food in the restaurant. The drinks were good but at $25 for a small cocktail, you may not want to order too many. In my opinion, a Margarita served in a Martini glass at an establishment is purely for portion control. As for the food, the pasta dishes were blande & dry. The chicken parmesan was likely undercooked as it was so tough I could barely cut into it, it comes with tomato ragù and it cannot be substituted (not even for an up charge) I thought that was wild, even olive garden lets you sub your pasta sauce. Since I was unable to sub my pasta, the waitress suggested I order a side of Zaza (spicy vodka) so I did but didn't realize I would be charged the full $32 entree price for a "meatless side pasta". We ordered onion rings, cesar salad, vin scully fries, chicken parm, lobster mac and cheese & the side of zaza pasta. The only food I can recommend is their cesar salad & vin scully fries. They don't offer complimentary dessert for special occasions (not even a single ice cream scoop) they just put a sparkler candle on your dessert. We paid $18 for a slice of chocolate pie although I can say its big enough to share. We did receive 2 complimentary champagne glasses with our dessert which was surpr Our waitress gave me the wrong tab to sign with someone else's card and gave my tab & card to that person before walking off, never to be seen again. Thankfully, the mix up was with the table next to us so we exchanged cards & tabs. Mind you that person had already put my card in her wallet (not her fault, she was very nice about it) just so glad I noticed before leaving with the wrong credit card. Not sure if our waitress was having a bad night or if that is the typical service experience she provides.
I'm personally not a fan and every time I tell someone, they're so shocked. I came here for a late birthday celebration and it wasn't anything special (to me). Best thing I had was the chocolate cake, it was so good! The spicy rigatoni wasn't too bad, probably would've been better if I added protein. Everything else was not good. My pizza was a little burnt so I didn't enjoy it. I wasn't a big fan of the steak pizza either, I don't think that should even be a pizza. The fries were interesting. There was something off about the flavor of the cheese, I was not a fan. I will say it is really nice on the inside and the staff is friendly!
OMG Drake's Hollywood was so good. My Delmonico steak was cooked medium well and it was absolutely delicious. Juicy, tender, and seasoned perfectly. I did not even think about steak sauce because when a steak is right you do not need to add anything. The lobster mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and honestly one of my fav bites of the night. But the real star was the crab claws. They were so big and juicy that we ended up ordering them three times. Like we thought one order would be enough to share and then we were like no we need more. I am seriously coming back just for those crab claws. The drinks were interesting. The Mexican was way too strong for me. It was basically tequila and lime and it had me making faces with every sip. My second drink was the Lemon Fizz and that was absolutely perfect. Light, refreshing, and just right. I ended up ordering two of those. We finished with the strawberry 24 layer cake and OMG it was huge. Sweet, creamy, and so good. Two of us could not even finish it but it was still one of the best desserts I have had in a while. Overall this dinner was amazing. Drake's Hollywood is definitely going to be one of my go to spots in LA and I will be back soon.
The food was good even though it was very small portions, you would have to buy more to feel full. Also important to know this place is extremely expensive, a bottle of water was $10, the waiter offered bottled water and my naive daughter said yes without asking the price. ( I always settled for tap water whenever i go out to eat). I realized that the waiter keeps pushing water even when the glasses were 3/4 full, in all 4 bottles of water $40. I could get a whole year supply of water at Sam club. We had a party of 5 , drinking water and 2 ginger beers & the price was $350 + tips. The menu is limited so you are forced to choose from what's available. If you have unlimited amounts of money and wants to treat yourself and some friend then do it. There is Valet parking for $10.
Had dinner at Drake's Hollywood while watching the Portugal vs Colombia game on my phone, and honestly, it was such a good combination. The drinks were good, but I do wish they had a few more mocktail options. Spicy Crispy Rice 7/10 - The crispy rice was good, but the tuna didn't taste very fresh to me. Dynamite Cauliflower 10/10 - My favorite dish of the night. It was so good. Pepperoni Pizza 8/10 - It was good. No complaints Jumbo Lump Crab Cake 8/10 - A little salty for my taste. I wish there were more crab and less breading. Lobster Mac and Cheese 8/10 - Super creamy, but I really couldn't taste the lobster. Elote Corn 8/10 - Good, but nothing really stood out. Royal Cream Spinach 8/10 - Creamy and tasty We also ordered a few different steaks, and they were all cooked perfectly. The dry-aged steak was the best one, though. If you were only getting one, then I would recommend that. For dessert, we had the 24-layer cake and cheesecake. Overall, I really enjoyed dinner here. Was a bit leary of a California chain but the food and service was excellent!!! Coleman was our server and he was so good & attentive. Crab claws as an app were buttery and flavorful. Our entrees were the NY Strip and the crusted snapper. Strip was buttery and fork tender. Snapper was lightly encrustedwith some pillowly ravioli hidden underneath. It was cooked well but bland. But let me finish on this Worlds Coldest Martini!!! One of the best in Houston. Hands down. read more

I quickly noticed why everyone loves to come to Drake's Hollywood to celebrate their birthday or any special occasion, because they make you feel so special with the dessert! I loved their dessert options and I had the best server that recommended the Silk Pie Dutch Chocolate and the awesome sparkler. The filet and the lobster mac & cheese were both delicious! I was grateful to get an awesome server that made sure I had an unforgettable experience. This is your cue to book a reservation and have a great dining experience like I did! read more

FYI some friends took us out here to celebrate and paid the bill but won't let that influence the review. Parking is pretty bad in Montrose on top of all the construction, so I recommend you get a Lyft or you can pay the $20 valet. If you're looking for a swanky old school Hollywood-themed restaurant, then look no further! As soon as you open their big doors you'll be transported to LaLa land with all the wood and velvet and celebrity wall of fame. The hosts are very friendly and will seat you or direct you to their beautiful bar if you need to wait on others. Our waiter was super personable. Came off like a friend giving great recommendations and sharing funny stories or antidotes. He took us through the menu and let us know how to get the most out of their chefs! We were not disappointed. Their T-bone was off the chain. One of the best I've ever had. Don't miss out on ordering that. A post meal espresso martini is a must too. Great spot for a date or impress whoever if you're ready to drop some big bucks! Will be back for sure when the time is right! read more

I came to Drake's Hollywood to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately our experience with our server, Michael, left a very negative impression. The evening started off great. The hostesses were very welcoming and kindly invited us to wait at the bar while the rest of our party arrived. We ordered drinks at the bar with no issues and were excited to celebrate. Once we were seated at our table, we ordered another round of drinks. Michael asked to see my ID, which I understood, but I only had my clutch with me and had accidentally left my wallet elsewhere. That was disappointing, but I respected the policy. What made the experience uncomfortable was how Michael treated my friend. She ordered a drink for herself and had her ID ready, but he seemed to ignore her at first, asked her to repeat herself, and dismissed her in a rude manner. After that interaction, his attitude toward our table felt cold and unwelcoming. At one point, he went over to the bartenders, pointed toward our table, and appeared to discuss us. He even had them walk by our table, which made us feel singled out and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, Michael was very warm and attentive to the table next to us, even wishing another guest a happy birthday. Since he knew we were there celebrating my birthday as well, it was hurtful that he never acknowledged mine. I understand that gratuity is automatically included, but that should never affect the quality of service. The hosts and bartenders were wonderful, but Michael's behavior overshadowed what should have been a special night. Sadly, this experience left me with a poor impression of the restaurant. read more

Since OpenTable only gives you so many characters to write a review, I'll share here. I decided to go to Houston for 2 days and knew they had a Drake's I had been wanting to go to the location in LA but never got around to it, When I seen they had one In Houston I knew I had to go, it was also my birthday weekend and wanted to treat myself to somewhere nice. I unfortunately have high expectations, being a manager at a highly sought after restaurant in Las Vegas on the strip, I expect the same service my staff gives when I dine myself, Vegas is the epitome of hospitality, So coming to Houston and knowing they have the greatest restaurants as well I was highly disappointed with my experience. We had reservations for Thursday May 15th, 2025 at 6:45pm, I had called to see if I could push the reservation back later they only had 8:15pm available I said that was fine, we drove about 30 mins from where we were staying and arrived at 8pm, nowhere does it say valet only, when we parked in the lot a guy runs up who barley speaks any English and states that it is $10 to park and there is nowhere else to park so we have no choice, okay that's fine, not a big deal he then says you can zelle me or cash app, mm I don't have either of those so my friend paid, It seemed a little off, we walked to the front and there was another guy standing there and asking us to pay again we advised him we already paid and we're keeping our keys since we parked ourselves, He then argued with the other guy and said we were good. We walked in and checked in with the host at 8:10pm, she advised us to wait by the bar and they would get us when our table was ready, there really is nowhere to stand by the bar without being in the staffs way so we stood closer by the host stand, we did not get seated until closer to 8:45pm, They did seat us at a nice table but we did sit for awhile until We were greeted, The server obviously didn't read the chit that was handed to him because my food allergies and what we were celebrating were on there, he did not ask for allergies, if we were celebrating or even walk us through the menu. I had to ask for bottled water and get his attention several times to order, we started with the beef carpaccio, snow crab legs and crab Rangoon's, Caesar salad, We also ordered the lobster pasta for our main entree and a few cocktails, the restaurant is loud so it hard to hear each other, the food is absolutely delicious but the service is the biggest thing for me, I don't care how great the food is if ther service isn't where I expect it, the experience is a blow after that, the drinks took forever and we could see them being made and just sitting in the well, the server was obviously overwhelmed with no server assistant to help he was definitely overwhelmed. We received the lobster pasta but never got the salad with the entrees when I told the server he was like oh they must have forgot, we were halfway done with the pasta when the manager dropped it on the table and walked off, didn't even apologize, had to tell the server it was my birthday to get a candle in the dessert I paid for, he did comp us a glass of champagne with the desert but at that point it was already a disappointment. I gave 2 stars for the sake of the food overall underwhelming disappointing experience, The restaurant definitely needs adequate staffing to ensure you are giving the best experience to your guest. read more
Where to start?! We came here on a double date and were instantly swept into the warm, intimate vibe of the place--dim lighting, cozy tables. Our waitress was an absolute gem--so warm and thoughtful. When she asked if we were celebrating anything, we all paused because, truthfully, each of us was celebrating something. We blurted it all out at once, probably sounding totally made-up, but she remembered every detail. At the end of the meal, she surprised us with a dessert and joked, "Congrats to all!"--then actually repeated each of our celebrations. Gold star service. Only weird moment was with the host. She asked us to move tables after we were already seated. I said no, but she kept pressing and eventually came back to say we had to move. It was off-putting. We started with the spicy tuna crispy rice (3/5) and the spicy Caesar (5/5). When did Caesar salads become so layered and textured?! It felt like an experience. For mains, we had the pasta Za Za (5/5) the dry-aged Delmonico ribeye (5/5), and the crab cakes (5/5). The pasta had just the right amount of heat and paired surprisingly well with the richness of the truffle butter on the ribeye. The crab cakes were huge--bonus for me since no one else wanted them. The creamy lemon butter sauce with those jumbo lump crab chunks was absolute heaven. We wrapped the night with the chocolate silk pie (5/5), and it was exactly what we needed--rich, smooth, and unapologetically indulgent. The perfect end to a memorable night. read more
My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary on a Wednesday evening. The decor and vibe is old time Hollywood. The Cesar salad was great! We had them bring the spicy Cesar dressing on the side and it was delicious. I had the Parmesan crusted snapper and my boyfriend had the Pasta Za Za. Both were recommendations from our server and were great. The old fashioned and the Mexican were both excellent drink choices! We had the silk chocolate pie. It is very rich, but you'll enjoy it if you like chocolate. They also present their desserts with a fun sparkler. Our server was great and attentive! The restaurant aesthetic, the appetizers & entrees were all wonderful. That being said the customer service needs a lot of work! I called a week before & asked about gratuity & bill splitting to which I was informed only parties 7+ get auto gratuity and the bill could be split up to 3 ways. Imagine my surprise when the waiter says one bill but he would allow us to look at the receipt, calculate our own totals and write the last 4 of the cards and the amount and that we had to pay and gratuity was on a table of 6. I used to be a waitress and I have taken bigger tables and kept track of who ordered what, it's giving LAZY. We ultimately ended up just paying 1 tab because who wants to sit there and do that! They also charge $9 for water that I wasn't informed we'd be charged for, I didn't even drink any until I realized we paid for it. Even knowing I paid for it I couldn't get it down because it tasted like sink water & smelt weird. There was an extra salad brought to our table no one ordered that we sent back immediately and we still got charged however we did catch it after we paid and got a refund. We sat at the bar for about 20 minutes no one took our order and when I finally got the chance to speak to the bartender he said he'd make my order at the table. I don't recommend any of their sides(mac & cheese noodles hard barely any lobster and the elotes bland). Another great night at another great restaurant here in Houston. I found Drake's Hollywood by doing a google search for great restaurants in Houston and I have to say it really was great. Our server Vincent was fantastic. Super professional and personal. He gave great recommendations and was very attentive. I love Hollywood and movies so the all caricatures of famous individuals really set the mood for me. There were also a bunch of fun just regular black and white photos of Hollywood personalities on the wall. The food and drink were delicious. The Old Rush was my favorite cocktail I tried. Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice as an appetizer was recommended by Vincent and was a great choice. The Honey Truffle Chicken was amazing! I loved it. It's not often I eat pretty much everything on my plate. No leftovers this evenings. I definitely recommend Drake's and this is a restaurant I will definitely be eating at again. read more
Drake's Hollywood was a 10/10 is every regard, and I do not give that high of a review often! Before I mention anything, the service was the best service I have ever had in my life. I wish so badly I could remember our server's name, but he was wonderful. My partner and I were celebrating our 3 year anniversary and he made it incredibly special. I ordered a "Spicy Mexican" (tequila based cocktail) and something that stood about to me was the fact that he made it a point to tell us that the tequila was created by two women. I think he knew we would enjoy that fun fact. The food was delicious. I had a ribeye that had excellent flavor, and my partner had the wagyu which was exquisite. Our cocktails and dessert were excellent as well. Inside it's a a stunning restaurant; it has walls that are painted with pictures, as well as music, from old Hollywood and it was so nice. It made you feel like you were living through that time. Drake's was a perfect experience. Can't wait to come back some day. read more

We went to Drakes for Galentines and we had a great time! Parking was made easy with valet. The lighting and ambiance reminded me of old money vibes with the cozy warm dim lights and I absolutely loved the sound of Frank Sinatra playing. Service here was on par with what I expected for this sort of place. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable with all of the plates and gave great recommendations. I want to note that they will not honor happy hour pricing if you are not seated at the bar which is ridiculous to me. I'll now give my opinions about the food and drinks. The Mexican- 4/5 I thought this drink was really tasty! It reminded me of an upscale concentrated version of a margarita and I loved the foam on top as well. I had 2 of these! Espresso Martini- 5/5 This was the best item I had all night. I did not like espresso martinis until I came here! Amazing must try. Order with rum! Ozzys Filet Mignon Pizza- 3.8/5 The flavor profile on this one was really good. I liked how no part of this pizza was overcooked which leads me to believe they cook the pizza then add the toppings which I liked. I was afraid the filet would be overcooked but it was perfect aside from some chewy parts. The way they cut this pizza was really awkward. Little pieces all around the edges.. Pasta Za Za- 3.8/5 I think the sauce was really tasty! Unexpectedly spicy to me and my friends so beware. I would have chose a different noodle and had more in the portion size because it didn't feel worth it for the price to me. White Fish Piccata- 4.5/5 I don't really have any complaints about this dish. It was stellar. Cooked to perfection the outside of the fish was crispy while the inside was moist and soft. Thank you to the waiter that recommended this one. Osaka Style Pressed Tuna- 5/5 I was skeptical when I saw sushi on a steak houses menu but my goodness this is one of the best sushi I've put in my mouth. My only complaint is I wish it came with more pieces! Bananas Foster Cheesecake- 3/5 I liked this item but it was the worst of all that I tried. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't stellar. It was dry and desperately needs more caramel sauce or an addition of ice cream or whipped cream on the side. Was a beautiful presentation! They set it on fire Overall I had so much fun here! The food was good but honestly only reason I'd come back is if I'm sat at the bar for happy hour and the sushi. read more
Probably one of the best restaurants I have been too. The service there is unmatched, the decor and whole vibe is super old Hollywood and I love it.. the food was amazing... drinks on point. The parking isn't great but they have valet that was surprisingly fast when getting our car at the end of the night. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. read more

My sister has been eyeing this spot so we made a reservation for her birthday. When the time came closer we realized pushing it back 30 minutes would have been more convenient for us so we called two days in advance, however, they told us nothing was available which was fine but we thought we would ask. The options for parking include either valet for $10 I believe or street parking. The vibe is old school Hollywood with dimmed lights and a red interior which was unique. However, we couldn't help but notice there were lots of empty tables when we came in all the way until we left where they definitely could have easily pushed back our reservation. For drinks we got the French 76 and the Mexican which were decent but nothing special. For food we ordered a variety of plates to share: Beef tartar: 4/5 Fries: 3/5 huge portion but nothing special Filet mignon pizza: 3/5 crust broke apart and filet was tough Fried cauliflower: 5/5 the best thing we had Sexy Sinatra: 3.5/5 flavor wasn't bad, mediocre sushi quality Lobster Mac: 3/5 good amount of lobster but wasn't creamy Spicy Caesar: 4/5 the spice was nice and lettuce was crisp, dressing tastes more like mustard than Caesar Overall, the food was just okay. Service was attentive, however, one thing to note is that they charge $8 a bottle for water. We were only given options of still or sparkling and weren't aware we were going to be charged. They continuously refilled the water throughout the night and when we were pretty much done eating we realized they had opened up another bottle of water which of course we realized they charged us for when we paid the bill. We ended up barely drinking any of it. It's annoying enough that we weee charged for water but even worse is that they didn't even ask if we wanted a second bottle which I feel is common courtesy as we would have said no since were pretty much done. It's also not expected by any means but unlike other nicer restaurants I've been to they don't offer anything at all for birthdays. We had quite of bit of food leftover and after reheating the pizza all the toppings slid off. To our dismay we found a short dark piece of hair stuck on the crust of our pizza. Overall, with everything combined I probably won't be back again. read more

The whole experience was a fun and easy process! I genuinely enjoyed the low dark lights and ambiance of the restaurant. If they had live jazz music it would've really set it off! My server was Kayla, she was so patient with me as it was my first time, she briefly went over the menu with me and gave me great service! I just ordered a bunch of small items so I was able to try a variety of things - I also got the spicy Cesar (not pictured) it was good but not my favorite, only because it really just tasted like spicy mayo on lettuce leaves. The broccolini was tasty, both pastas were delicious as well. Ended the night with a chocolate cake - birthday edition! (The sparkler) read more

Dined in for dinner last Sunday for a friends birthday. The decor is on brand. The restaurant is nicely low lit setting a mood. We got the cauliflower as an app to share. It had a perfect balance of flavors nice and crispy on the outside. I would go back just for that! For entrees there was a wide variety of the crab cake, branzino (my pick), another white fish (maybe halibut), and a salad. The only person who wasn't thrilled about their food was the girl that got the spicy Caesar. I got broccolini & the spicy pasta as well. I was very pleased with my selections and will love to revisit. We had cake prior at the first bday event so no one got dessert. read more
I really love the overall mood and vibe of this place. The darker reds, blacks, along with the chairs, murals, classy design style really elevate this place. Entrance to this place is from a large front door greeted by hostess stand encircling with taller darker curtains. After you pass the hostess, there's a walkup to the bar area and dining, with larger groups to the immediate right and further toward the back of the bar. The bar area is nice with two top tables to the left that allow for cozier seating. Most if all the folks are dressed in nice attire and this place definitely seems to be one of those Instagram places for many. I found service at the bar and table service to be very prompt, helpful and friendly which added to the experience. Drinks all seemed to be well composed. The menu's for food and drink aren't too overly complicated. Drink menu has the typical cocktail choices, along with red and white wines, and bottled beers. Apparently, they have the worlds coldest martini, a LOUIS XIII "PERFECT POUR" and a GOLD FASHION. The food menu has CHILLED NOSH & WARM NOMS basically appetizers. I would recommend trying out their JD's pepperoni pizza and jumbo shrimp cocktail. They also have a limited selection of sushi rolls. The Hawaiian Sunset roll and the Spicy Sinatra rolls were both good. MILO'S LOBSTER PASTA was a good option, though for the price the GRILLED BRANZINO filet I thought was way overpriced for 1/2 of a fish filet. I haven't yet tried any of their steaks, but maybe on the next visit. I guess one thing that pops out is the price on their steaks better be damn good since they probably run about 15% higher than most other places. Overall, I keep coming back to this place probably for the combination of drinks, atmosphere, food and service. I find everyone is friendly, and people are well dressed. For drinks, apps, and vibe definitely a good place to come. read more

Located on a small little lot, valet parking is available for $10. Valet service was super clutch. Walking in the ambiance is very romantic, intimate. Drakes is pretty small so the bar and dining area is all in one room. The bar and dinning area is beautiful. The carpet was nice, the dim lighting, everything was so nice. The interior design was on point. I just wish they had some music playing, we had reservations at 5pm on a Friday afternoon. It was really quiet except for the people talking at the bar. To drink we got the Lemon fizz, The Mexican, and The Spicy Mexican. The Mexican was good, it was their version of a margarita. The spicy Mexican was spicy! Well the jalapeño rim is what made it really spicy! So be careful with that. The spicy Mexican is the spicy version of the Mexican but has a different flavor, the spicy Mexican has a more cucumber flavor while the regular Mexican does not taste like cucumbers at all. The lemon fizz is light and bubbly, very refreshing. I've never had gin with Prosecco, what a pleasant combo. The food we ate was good, we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We ordered the pressed tuna sushi for our appetizer. Sushi at a steakhouse? I was skeptical but man I still think about that sushi till this day. The tuna was so fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly, the sauce had a nice kick to it. I would go back just for that sushi! For entrees we got the filet mignon pizza, the Pasta Zaza and White Fish. The pizza was sooo good. The smell of truffle was absolutely mesmerizing and the balsamic vinegar dressing on top paired with the leafy greens, chefs kiss. The filet was cooked medium and was sliced thinly on top. The white fish has the perfect battered crust, very flakey and the fish was very moist , cooked to perfection. The pasta Zaza had some spice to it definitely surprise me with that. The pasta was cooked perfectly, however, the pasta wasn't saucy enough. I thought they could've made it more creamy or added more sauce. It was just lacking in the sauce department. Also, the portion was really small for the price point in my opinion. I've seen kids meals bigger than that pasta portion. The steaks here are pretty expensive. I personally wouldn't get a steak here but definitely snacking on the pizza and the sushi, WORTH! For dessert we decided to go for the bananas fosters cheesecake and finish off with an espresso martini. DO NOT GET THE BANANAS FOSTERS CHEESECAKE..... super dry. I felt like I was eating a protein gluten free cake. I didn't even know a cheesecake could be dry. It needs to be taken off the menu. However, The espresso martini was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! 10/10 so good. What a great way to end dinner, sadly the dessert was a huge let down. Drake's is good but I think it could be better. For starters I wish they offered bread at the table, I feel that's pretty standard when it comes to steak houses to offer bread. I also wish happy hour was offered at the tables and not just at the bar. I was excited to try happy hour with my ladies but I wasn't aware. Their specialty cocktail menu was a little small in my opinion, I would love to see some more fruit forward cocktails available on the menu. But I would come back and try to catch Happy Hour at the bar next time for some sushi and espresso martinis 100% read more
