I've bookmarked this place for ages and really looked forward to coming here since moving to Cypress. Alas, it was just not quite up to my expectation. I ordered my standard latte with almond milk. The coffee flavor just wasn't there. I was expecting a bit more roasted coffee flavor (and no, not burnt). It tasted a bit watered down unfortunately... Maybe I am too used to coffee from places such as Boomtown. Perhaps I will give this place another try the next time I am in the area and in the mood for coffee. read more

I've just never ever had a bad coffee here...it is consistently good and I LOVE their iced mocha because it is not chalky and it's so flavorful. The owner and staff are always so nice and friendly. I've never gone inside...I always drive through because I am always on the go. The service is speedy and the drinks are delicious. They offer paninis, scones, sweets and a variety of food items as well if you need a quick bite, too. read more

This place is awesome! Very cute vibe, nice staff, and delicious drinks! Found this place browsing for a coffee shop as I've grown tired of Starbucks. I tried this place first on Saturday and thought it was great. I had an americano, which was delicious, and my husband had the candy bar frappe. I'm not a fan of sweet drinks, but it was amazing! I decided to give the shop another try today (Sunday) and was happy to I made the decision. I decided to get just espresso over ice this time by recommendation of the gentleman who rung me up. A coffee house with cute, retro/vintage decor in a mini-mall. Coffee is good and they have a good selection of pastries. It's a great place to relax as I chilled for an hour in one of their recliners. They also have a drive-thru for those in a rush. read more

Good place for a quick cup of coffee and a breakfast on the go. Also prices are very fair and not overly expensive.

So I'm a huge coffee fan as well as a seasoned barista as well and had such high hopes for this place considering the reviews on here. However i was so very disappointed. The decor was a bit strange and very mix matched like they couldn't decide what they wanted the theme of the place to be. On top of that they also sold jewelry and scarves and such which was also very strange to me. Moving on to the coffee which is the biggest let down. I ordered a white mocha which had wayyyyy too much sugar. It tasted like something from star bucks (which I was hopping they might be a bit different and more traditional) the milk was very under textured and too hot. I wasn't able to even take a decent swig for about 10 minutes waiting for the coffee to cool off. I also ordered a cappuccino as well so that I could really get the full flavor of their espresso. The espresso was over extracted and watery. And to make it even worse, the milk had been scorched. Poor guy obviously had no idea how to make a cappuccino. And on top of all of this, when I was ordering they asked me what size cappuccino I wanted... For all of you who don't know, there is only one size for a cortado, cappuccino, macchiato, and latte (traditionally at least) The food seemed good. I had a cake ball which was decent but looking at the pastry display, it was quite sad how little they really had to choose from. The only real good thing I could find there was the service. They were very friendly and didn't mind striking up a convo with me. If there was the option to give 0 stars I would if it were not for the kind workers. Over all I would not recommend this place to any true coffee fans. As far as the coffee goes, you could definitely find a better place in the area. read more

I liked the interior & the vibe & music. The coffee is good but not out of this world. The service is EXTREMELY slow so don't go if you have to go somewhere afterwards. One panini sandwich took them more than 20 mins. I guess they were making their takeout sandwiches or something but they need to be faster with people waiting inside. Just the coffee alone took like 10 mins. I had to get to work after so i had to get my sandwich to go because I didn't get time to eat it. The sandwich is nothing special. A good amount for the price but quality is mediocre & definitely should not take them 20 mins to grill that. read more

I came here because of all the great reviews, but I honestly don't understand. The first thing I noticed was that the drinks prices were super low, which most people would probably not complain about, but it made me worry that maybe the beans they use are not of a high quality. I ordered an iced americano, unsweetened with a splash of almond milk and a sandwich. I think my total came out to only $5, which was impressive since I usually spend anywhere from $10-$15 for a coffee and a sandwich/muffin. I liked that you could create your own breakfast sandwich and customize as much or as little as you wanted on it. The sandwich was okay; not bad, not amazing. Honestly, though, my drink was so bad, I took a couple sips and ended up throwing it away... I felt too bad to say anything to the barista because he was nice, but it was just awful. It was cheap, so I didn't really care, but I was disappointed. I think most people aren't going to notice the taste difference, especially if you like cream and sugar in your coffee, but for those with a refined palate for coffee, I wouldn't recommend. If you frequent Starbucks and are looking for a better, cheaper alternative- I think you will enjoy it just fine. read more

This is just what the doctor ordered for the Cypress area, a cute local coffee shop with style. It has kind of a vintage-y feel (the barista told me it's supposed to be 50's-inspired) with some antiques scattered about. Their beverages are kind of pricey (more expensive than Starbucks for a blended drink, so that's saying something), but it's made with delicious Ghiradelli syrups.. gotta say, it felt very indulgent, but I still got a caffeine kick. They also have gelato and some cute mini pastries, but I didn't try any of those because I had met my calorie quota for the week. It was nice and quiet, and there were plenty of outlets and free wifi. I will definitely be back! read more

I was looking for a quiet place to work and read the positive reviews and decided to drop by. I ordered a small black coffee. I opened it to let it cool down and noticed small brown specks floating around in it. I assumed it was leftover coffee grinds and just scooped them out. The coffee was average. Not terrible Starbucks but not great. There were two other customers, both working/studying. The ambiance is fine. Wooden chairs without cushions and scuffed table-tops. No big deal. Quiet Sinatra playing in the background. They have pastries as well and the lauded gelato was not available. I stayed for two hours. The place closes at 5:00 on Sundays. At about 4:30, when the other patrons left, the two workers began talking loudly. No big deal. But then one started tossing a water bottle in the air and letting it hit the counter. Random. They're two teenage boys, so I figured they would get it out of their system. But this continued for a few minutes until I couldn't take it anymore and asked him to stop and explained that I would be leaving soon (so they could continue with their fun.) He stopped and promptly sat down. Overall, the place is average, quiet, better than Starbucks, but I will not be returning due to the rambunctious workers. It's a small business and this is understandable. It's just a part-time job. But I'd rather continue my search for a chill coffee shop with good coffee and mature employees. read more

I tried the iced green tea and my friend had a Frappuccino. Both were excellent (better than a major chain that we also frequent). The gentlemen serving were kind and helpful. Restaurant was clean and eclectic. I would defiantly recommend stopping in when in the area. read more

My husband really enjoys the ambiance and service of this place. He encourages me to try more mom and pop shops vs their counterpart franchises (aka Starbucks) and although I was in a hurry, I'm glad we stopped here. The servers behind the counter were very polite and the coffee and scones were pretty good too. I stopped by again this morning to buy a lemon parfait and I could tell it was made fresh and not a bunch super processed ingredients layered in a container :-) They also have a drive through so that's a plus. i don't get this place. it's vintage, it's hipster. they sell phone cases, they sell gelato. i'm not saying i don't like the place. i'm a fan. however, if i were in charge of the place, i would probably capitalize on the whole retro/vintage thing and have it EVERYWHERE, not just random furniture and an old typewriter/office supplies strewn randomly in the midst of more modern tables and chairs. i do feel weird critiquing this place as i'm using their wifi. it's like someone giving you a bowl of ice cream and you take a scoop and throw it on their floor while staring them in the face while you eat the rest ...or something like that. i checked this place out because i needed a place to do some work. pretty much what i look for in a coffee shop is: wifi, ample seating, tables big enough to put my laptop and books on, cool signature drinks, a comfortable feel to it. plum has most of those. it doesn't really have a comfortable feel to it, but it's enough to get my work done. i ordered an americano. it tasted a little more watery than most other americano's i've had. also, it came not as hot as other americano's. i kind of liked that. i didn't have to wait forever to take my first sip. others might not like it so much. the espresso tasted good. i'm no coffee expert (despite having worked at starbucks for 2.5 years. not that that would make me an expert). the place wasn't too busy when i came it (early-late afternoon). i wonder if this place ever gets really crowded. it doesn't seem like it. so why 4 stars? well, service was great. the staff is super nice. their drink menu seemed really innovative and tasty. they had me at snickerdoodle latte. so, despite the identity crisis this place seems to have, i would come here again to do work or grab some after dinner dessert. i would like to try their gelato sometime. i'll update my review when i do. read more

I've been here twice and it does not disappoint. There is not much traffic coming in and out of the shop, so it was a great work environment for me. Drinks are good as well as the tandoori chicken panini. I'm excited to try more of their croissant and panini selections. read more

Love, love, love Plum! The baristas are not only awesome at what they do they are super friendly and always remember us when we come it. The atmosphere is super chill with 40's big band music playing at a nice level over the speaker. This is by far the best place to get coffee in the CyFair area. My fav's are the Snickerdoodle Frappe and the Cinamon scone or the Haverti and egg croissant sandwich, but everything my family has had here has been top notch. This place is hands down better then Thousand Hills down the road. Its a little tricky getting in and out due to the traffic on Barker Cypress but worth dealing with it because they have great drinks, good food and great service at a fair price. read more

Great coffee, nice quiet atmosphere. This is the only coffee place I can't drink at because it didn't upset my stomach afterwards and make me run to the bathroom like starbucks coffee ALWAYS does. I ordered a small caramel macchiato and tasted amazing- not too sweet and just the right amount of flavor. It came out to about $4.50 which is $1 more than what starbucks would usually cost but overall I would probably be back. Also ordered an iced green tea and it was also good! I don't know when they stopped selling the gelato but when I went today they told me they stopped selling it. I love this place because they have coconut milk and almond milk!! I can't do dairy or soy, and I haven't found any other places in the cypress area that have other milk options so this place is a winner for me! The decor is really cute too. It's been decorated with a retro antique flare. I haven't tried any of the pastries or coffee flavors they have. Searched for a place to work today, saw good reviews for this place, and wow, was it a good call to follow the suggestions. It wasn't super busy, had reliable Wi-Fi (trust me I used it all day), mint mocha, egg and cheese croissant, and birthday cake bar were all really satisfying, cute little things for sale, and awesome awesome customer service. Recommended highly if you need a place to hang, study, or work for a while. read more

This is the best coffee shop this side of town. I love the atmosphere! It's retro and fun. The coffee selection is large and they also serve pastries and a unique assortment of gelato. The family that owns/operates it is very nice. My only complaint is that they don't stay open late enough at this time. I'd love to see them stay open until midnight some nights. Also, the flavored coffees are very rich and sweet. This is great if you don't like the taste of coffee very much or want a treat. If I order one of these, I ask for half the syrup. You can also purchase beans. Family friendly. Something for ALL ages and tastes. read more
