I had a hour to waste, and I needed some good coffee, been in Texas for a week and haven't gotten any good coffee yet. I stumbled across this little gem hoping I would finally get some great coffee!! Cut a long story short this place is AMAZING!! I had ordered a caramel macchiato blended or knows as a frappe with a cinnamon raisin bagel bacon egg and cheese and my mom got a pineapple coconut smoothie with a raisin bagel and bacon and egg. The drinks were amazing I needed a great coffee for my week and my mom loved her smoothie I had to taste it, it was delicious!! The staff are awesome!!! The guy made a small mistake with my moms order and he was gladly to correct it and he even gave us a gift card and apologized!! I haven't seen that before at all!! I've always wanted to go here as it opened up a while ago by my parents' place in Cypress. I finally had the chance this holiday and I find myself there almost everyday! They have the creamiest chai latte, even with almond milk! They are always really nice and it's a great place to relax, study, or read. I'll have to go back to my home in LA soon but I'll miss this place and will be dreaming of the turkey club while I'm gone.....Everything on the menu is great, I can't see you making a wrong choice. read more

I am so glad this place exists! There are not many coffee shops in this area (besides the very crowded, loud Starbucks nearby) and they have free wifi and it's not very loud. It's owned and operated by one family who have great customer service. After just a few visits, they will have your order, your milk type and/or your ice preference memorized -- something you don't get at most Starbucks! Their mixed drinks are a little too sweet for my preference but the espresso and drip coffee are really good! They also have a very good selection of pastries and even some healthy snack choices. They also occasionally have food that's different from the standard coffee shop food (banana pudding)!! read more

This is the former Daily Brew however, it has an entirely different feel. Its vintage, 1950's inspired, simple decor separate it from other coffee shops. I have spent several hours utilizing the coffee house as a study spot and was lucky enough to score free samples. You'll won't get complete silence here, and the occasional family pack from the surrounding neighborhoods liven up the place from time to time. Employees are super friendly and eager to recommend favorites. I've also been assisted with rearranging furniture to accommodate my OCD and use of electrical outlets for a laptop - I have very particular ways of studying. I love them for doing this for me - and with a smile! Gotta love family owned establishments because they tend to treat you like family. There are some healthy options here including Clifs Bars, an array of sugar free syrups (okay - not so healthy but at least less cals), and the usual calorie-filled coffee treats such as pastries. They also serve gelato which is brought in fresh from a vendor in Bellaire. I love Plum Coffee, just wish they were open later for studying. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now and today I finally got the chance. I came with my mom and little brother. Parking was tight and filled. They have a very little parking lot that's shared with other establishments and gets packed quickly. We went inside and there were a lot of people at the tables chit chatting. We made our way through the crowd and were greeted by the employee at the counter. Eddie was very friendly and helpful in deciding our drinks. I had a-bajillion questions and he answered them all with a smile and patience. We ended up getting a green tea blend, a strawberry banana smoothie, and a hibiscus mint with strawberry flavoring GREEN TEA BLEND They use matcha green tea and I love that it's not too sweet. I was really surprised because my mom really liked it too and she's super picky! You really taste the green tea flavoring and it's really smooth. STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE Eddie told us the smoothies were really sweet (thank you for the honesty) and it was. My brother wanted this and even though it was sweet, it wasn't too bad. I could taste more bananas than strawberries though. HIBISCUS MINT WITH FLAVORED STRAWBERRY The hibiscus mint is non-sweet and I wanted to add some flavoring. I didn't know which one to choose; so Eddie recommended strawberry. I went with it and it turned out really good. It was a very refreshing drink. It wasn't overly sweet, which is what I love. My overall experience was great! I give 4.5 stars. I want to give 5 stars, but they close so early (around 7pm) and I wish I could study here or hangout late with some friends, but that's unfortunate and their parking lot is so aggravating.. other than that.. their service is phenomenal!! Found Plum Coffee after a quick Yelp! scan of the area; was hoping Plum was open on New Year's morning, as a tasty latte was definitely in the cards for me! Ordered a triple medium latte, along with an everything bagel (with egg, bacon, cheese...oh my!)...both hit the spot more than I had expected. Attentive, quick service. Of note, the shop is decorated with many retro things - really enjoyed reminiscing about them as I'd seen them growing up! Go for yourself to check them out, especially the short-wave radio! Love this place; it's probably one of the best, if not my top pick for Cypress/NW Houston coffee shops. I'm all about supporting the local guy and the service and quality here is consistently tops. Not sure what beans they use but the coffee is always rich and flavorful. One of the high points here is the staff; they are friendly and willing to help accommodate drink orders for overly-picky people such as myself. They offer sugar free options, non-dairy milks and carry a wide assortment of flavor add-ins that make their flavored lattes so damn delicious. They also make a wicked London Fog--one of the best ones that I've ever had. I've gone out of my way several times to get a coffee here and it has never once disappointed me. As a college student who jumps at the chance to feed my caffeine addiction, this place is still one of the best around. I come here and get my extremely caffeinated coffee and a panini and grab a table and study for as long as one person can handle. I've been coming here for years and I've never been disappointed. So I finally came back here on a whim to try their coffee since I had a sudden craving for a frappuccino and didn't feel like going to starbucks. It was empty, so I was tended to quickly. After looking over the menu for a few minutes I decided on a medium sized snickerdoodle frappe. Biggest mistake of my life. The snickerdoodle frappe tasted like they used crappy instant coffee. There was no richness or boldness in the coffee whatsoever. Not a coffee snob, but I definitely don't want my coffee to taste like watered down instant coffee. Terrible. There were tons of chunks of ice in the drink as well. I'm pretty sure your household blender could do a better job than whatever they're using to blend drinks. I ordered an Americano (the employee tried to steer me to get something more popular but I always get an Americano because I don't like sugary drinks) although I did add some caramel to it but the flavor tasted very artificial and almost like it was sugar free.. It had a gross after taste. The 3 stars is for the service because it wasn't exemplary but it wasn't bad so gotta give them credit for that, but if I was rating them by the taste and quality of their coffee I would give them a -1. I reviewed this business before back in 2014. I admit to frequenting Starbucks because I get credit for frequent visits. They even have a nice app that keeps you from needing to yank out your credit card or cash every time. But... The atmosphere in Plum Coffee is just the way coffee shops used to be back in the 80's. The music is retro and mellow and it is quiet. Almost library level. The owner is pleasant to chat with and remembers your usual order. While Starbucks has its pluses, they are getting so noisy with clatter, chatter and loud music that it has driven me back to what I find at Plumb Coffee. I mean, it's not that I am a Midtown Houston Hipster, I was just shocked that I don't need to meet people in Midtown for a unique latte, and the Peanut Butter Latte I had was out of this world. By far my favorite coffee place! I came in here around lunchtime for Bible study and I enjoyed it! The guys at the counter were very polite and accommodating! Such a great little establishment tucked away in Cypress! If I could rate this place on service alone, i'd give them 5+ stars. I have tried this coffee shop twice and it's not bad. That being said, it's not great either. I had a soy latte and a blueberry scone. The coffee was ok. The scone was very dry and stale. I requested a fresher pastry and the staff were very friendly and apologetic. My daughters had a cake pop and a wild berry smoothie, both of which they liked. When there isn't a quiet place in the neighborhood to study, Plum Coffee comes in clutch. It's hardly busy and when it is, it's not as chaotic as Starbucks. There's enough tables and chairs to hang out so anyone could play some card games or board games, sip on a drink, bury themselves in a book, or get some studying done. If you're in a hurry or don't want to get out of your car, they have a drive-thru area on the side. Customer service is consistently exceptional. I don't feel rushed when trying to decide what to order. One of the suggestions from the cashier was the freshly brewed iced coffee. Since trying it for the first time there, I kept coming back for more. I eventually asked if they sold the iced coffee in bulk, but they do not. It's okay, though. Plum Coffee still gets five stars in my book. read more
