The coffee is fantastic and the employees are delightful. The owner however creates a hostile work environment. I was there for around a year before leaving in 2020 and every time you worked alone with Liz she would be talking bad about other employees, and it wasn't long before we figured out she was doing this with all of us. I suspect that was why she was constantly getting onto us about 'gossiping' when we were all friends trying to enjoy our jobs and she was the only one talking badly about the staff and even spreading rumors about us. She expects employees to take on manager duties without any kind of further compensation, she yelled at one of my coworkers back in the day because said coworker called her out on lying about a raise that wasn't going to come. She claims to be an LGBT ally but not only was she showing transphobia blatantly while I worked there, I've also befriended a current employee recently and found out she is still using the wrong name and pronouns for people who quit 2 years ago. In fact from what I've heard from several people, not just that one barista, all of her problematic behavior is still running strong if not getting worse. I love small businesses, I want to support them, I'd love to work for one again, but until Liz straightens out her managing style I don't recommend this place to anyone looking for a job. read more
