I came home all strung out from the road. The kids were home and two of our three toilets were clogged. Darn kids! I called Plumbing Heating Paramedics and the dispatch girl made it happen on short notice and dispatched a plumber. Yes, the upstairs toilet was clogged beyond my level of patience that day. Matt arrived and got the job done. He was thorough and professional. Thank you for saving me from having to dig the auger out to unclog the toilet! The service call was a little salty at $147. Granted he arrived on short notice on Friday around 5pm. My time and patience are worth something. And that day I would have paid twice as much not to have to mess with it. I am an electrical and technology systems contractor with no patience to deal with plumbing issues. If you are in a jam,call these guys! read more

Routine inspection of my furnace found a capacitor that was starting to show signs of going out of spec. Was told the part was under warranty, but the part would be $280 to install. The technician had the part already in his hand, and it is a plug and play part, which may at most cost $5. This is horrible business practice, and I will no longer be doing business with Plumbing Heating Paramedics. This company promotes pulling a fast one on their customers, as Wayne the tech mentioned to me he knows the part is very inexpensive, yet still chooses to work for this company, and then was attempting to force his religeon on me by saying I would be finding Jesus some day. BEWARE of this company who trains their employees to follow this poor business practice. read more

Because I had purchased a furnace from Plumbing and Heating Paramedics and received excellent service and a fair price, they were first on my list when I found an outdoor water faucet frozen after the winter's cold weather. A technician came out and inspected it. He said he needed to turn water off to the whole house but probably would run into a problem with the shut off valve, and recommended that be replaced also. The total bill was going to be almost $1000. I wanted to think about it so paid him $85 for a service call and told him I would get back to him in a few days. In the meantime I spoke with a friend who has some plumbing knowledge and he told me how to make the repair. I didn't need to shut off the water at all. It cost me less than $6 and took about 5 minutes. I definitely feel I this technician was trying to swindle me. I called the owner and asked to speak with him to give him a chance to rectify the situation, but after leaving a message because he wasn't available never got a return call. I would avoid these people because now I sincerely questioned their honesty and/or competency. read more

We've used them a couple of times at our old house for heating and plumbing. They have generally been okay, but now that we've moved, it seems like they don't want to service our new neighborhood. They've had to reschedule more than once (because they couldn't make the window of arrival), and now it's gotten to the point of us waiting for our appointment window only to have them not show up and not even call! "Our computer says we were there" was the only response when they finally called the following day. Somehow, despite me sitting on my front porch throughout their arrival window, they magically showed up without me knowing? My ring doorbell didn't seem to catch any video? They suck!! I paid for the tubing to be changed and charged from my new outside 4ton only because the soldering was ten years old material wise. Now the unit doesn't work at all!!!! They won't service the new furnace I brought but came and serviced it 3 months after I brought it and charged that as a service credit and charged another service credit for the air unit they broke!!! Then said they wouldn't service me because I don't know how to talk to them now that I have to pay $3,600 for a condenser! They break whayou don't buy so you can buy it! read more

I think they deserve one star because they showed up. I was initially signed up to come on board with them in the spring, but my heat went out in February so I had to bump things up. They came and charged me for the two units for annual maintenance. the technician said he determined the problem however the $595 fix was not what the problem was at all. When I called and said I was dissatisfied and I wanted a refund I got no refund for the repair and got only a refund for the fact that they are not going to do service on the units minus the service charge . I wish I would've kept the." burnt " motherboard that was not burnt at all. I could not in good conscience recommend them. The satisfaction guarantee is obviously not a guarantee. read more

When we purchased our house, one of our toilets were not set, one was running, our radon system wasn't attached and our water shut off was on the basement ceiling (who puts it there?). Aaron came out and fixed all our needs reran our water shut off to a side wall so all can reach it. He was great and personable. We ended up signing up for their 1 year service plan and are glad we did! Aaron is super personable and helped us understand the issues that were going on. Today, Saturday, we heard bad sounds coming from our basement! When we went down, we found water pouring out of our main discharge pipe that eventually leads out of the house. We called this company because they sent out a guy on Christmas Eve several years ago when one of our pipes froze and burst in our crawlspace. This time, Ryan was our technician. He figured out the problem and solved it very quickly! He was very courteous, well spoken and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this company for any occasion! read more

Price for cleaning out a sink drain was ridiculous. Did NOT have them do the work but still was stuck paying the $85 trip fee - even though they would not even quote unless they came out so that bites. It was a simple cleanout which I had done by another company which was $100 less on the quote plus I also recd a discount. Since price by the other company was fair, they also got the order for the 3 new Kohler toilets I wanted to buy. So Plumbing/Heating Paramedics greed lost them not only the clean out job but the 3 toilets as well. Will never call them again thats for sure. read more

Couldn't recommend this company more. They were on time, professional, and followed up same day!! They spent 10 hours at my house removing my 30 year old furnaces (yes two separate furnace as I owned a duplex built in 1900) and they were amazing! I will give them two stars because they got our drain running for one day. Emergency after-hours service is $109 even though the website doesn't really indicate that. It is $70 for a service call during business hours and then they refund the money if they need to use their machine which is $250 for an hour. We only got 40 minutes of the machine service and paid the $250. The technician indicated everything was running fine and we should be good going forward. The next day our same drain was backing up again. They want to start all over and charge another $250 even though we didn't get our full hour of service yesterday... I called a competitor and they're going to come out tomorrow and do our line with the camera inspection for $88, I guess I should have went with that in the first place. read more

Update (Feb 2019): We just had to replace our furnace (20 years old) and we had PHP come out to give a quote. Ryan (the owner) came out and spent plenty of time with me to fully know what our needs were. In addition to replacing the furnace unit, we needed a big section of the duct work to be moved. He came up with some clever solutions for the ducting and a great offer on an efficient furnace. They guys were here quickly, did a very good job, kept the whole place clean and were out in just a few hours. We could not be happier! Such great people and service. read more

I saw since you're here give me a price on a whole unit, heat and ac. The price was more than fair and the install, a little difficult because of location they made look easy. Plumbing Paramedics performed an inspection on our plumbing after the rebuild of our new Old Town Design Group house which flooded due to an installation error by their contractor, BRS Mechanical (BR Schroeder and Sons). Plumbing Paramedics were extremely professional and thorough and they explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. They also noticed that a flush valve had never been installed on our tankless water heater. Plumbing paramedics returned later and installed a flush valve and flushed our system for a great deal. I don't understand what happened to this company. I have used them for preventative maintenance and they were fine. I used them again about 4 months ago to install a new water heater and do some modifications to my furnace air handling system in the house I had just purchased and they did that just fine. So when my furnace stopped working today (about 4:15am Saturday morning, 35 degrees outside) I called them again. Their website says they have 24/7 emergency service. The answering service told me nobody would call till normal business hours which I took to mean Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. I reminded them that their website says they offer 24/7 emergency service so they said they would make a note that this was an emergency. No technician called so I called back 50 minutes later. It took the answering service almost 7 minutes to even answer my call. Told them no one had called and they said they would update the message but still didn't say anyone would call. Waited 15 minutes. No technician called. Finally called the owners cell phone number which I had from when he came out to bid the air handler modification. It's now been 2.5 hours and neither the owner or any technician has called. If they aren't going to do after hours emergency service then they should update their website. UPDATE: Evidently the reason the repair technician didn't call was because the after hours phone answering service failed completely to do their job. The owner returned my call at 7:42 this morning to say he is personally contacting the technician who is on call. Technician called me 10 minutes later and said he would be there in about 75 minutes. Technician arrived when he said he would and after a brief inspection determined what was wrong. He had to leave and pick up a new part from a supply house. Upon his return he quickly installed the part which fixed the problem and my furnace is back up and running. I am thankful they were able to get this taken care of because I definitely didn't want to look for a new heating and cooling company. read more

A chipmunk got into our A/C unit and ate the wiring. No joke. Eric came out, ordered parts, then came out again three days later and basically had to rewire it. Honestly it didn't cost as much as I expected, and he even disposed of the dead chipmunk ;) They were really good wearing booties to not track dirt and also wearing a mask and keeping distancing for all this COVID-19 mess. Had plumbing behind the wall of bath/shower leaking into basement in November 2019, called PHP to fix. Entire bathtub had to be ripped out in order to get to the plumbing and repair. They were able to fix the leak, but that's the only good thing I can say here. While replacing the tub, they cracked a tile in the bathroom floor, luckily I had spare tiles. Wish that was the worst of the problems. Fast forward a little over a year, and 2 new leaks had started, requiring me to cut a hole in my basement ceiling a second time. After inspecting and confirming with a different plumber (why would I call PHP again?), both leaks due to bad seals and poor install of the new bathtub. Needless to say, will not be dealing with PHP ever again. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! We called this company to assist with a leak in our shower. We had used them before and felt they were fair in their pricing. This time however, they gave an estimate of costs at nearly $2000 to repair a cracked valve. We were surprised at how high the estimate was. Feeling uneasy about the cost, my husband did a little research. He discovered that the valve had a free lifetime replacement warranty. My husband ordered the part from Delta and they shipped the valve to us free of charge. It cost us a little under $100 to repair the whole issue, including replacing the drywall we had to cut out to access the pipes. Needless to say, we felt they were less than honest in their estimate. Additionally, when the tech was in our home, he was commenting about our need to upgrade our water softener and HVAC systems for efficiency purposes, which are still running and in good repair. After providing us the estimate, the tech never returned to pick up the tools he left at our home. He also didn't clean up the mess he created when he made additional cuts into our drywall when "evaluating" the cause of the leak. We cannot recommend this plumbing company. If I could give them zero stars, I absolutely would. read more

I have been using PHP for several years now. They have the best technicians, very professional and knowledgeable. They are not the cheapest out there, but it's absolutely worth it for the amazing work they provide. Here is my story: I recently purchased an older home that came with a Home Warranty; two months later, my AC unit stopped working in the middle of August (great timing!). I called HWA to send a technician for a fix. It took him 10 business day to order the defective piece (all this while my family is suffering from the wonderful heat); finally, the technician came and installed the defective piece only to make the AC work and stop every 10 minutes or so. At that point, I was already agitated, and totally furious; not only I had to wait for 12 days, but my AC was still not functioning properly. Finally I called HWA and demanded that I use my own contractor. It was on a Sunday afternoon, I called PHP and a technician came within 30 minutes; figured out what the problem was, ordered the piece and came back the following day to install it. What a prompt and professional service. The AC was fixed and was fixed in less than 24 hours. Since then, I called PHP to check my plumbing, heating, and they recently cleaned my ducts (new service they started offering), I couldn't believe the amount of dust they collected after 6 hours of hard work. read more

I feel like i've met almost all of the employees by now, including the owner, and everyone I've met has been great. The work is top notch- no cutting corners with these guys, and it shows. Just a note the service we received was very good, so good we took out a maintenance contract. We had them out on a couple of different issues and decided lets try a contract. We took it out in July of 2019 had one inspection done in October 2019 had 2 more to go one for the A/C and one for the whole house plumbing inspection both due this spring. We have since sold our home and they offer no refund or help what so ever. In fairness they did offer to honor the contract in our new house, however they do not service Fort Myers Florida. So in a nutshell noting they will due on a partial refund. The service was good but would not recommend a maintenance contract with them if there is any chance you might move. FYI our A/C people here in Florida did refund part of a maintenance contract here when we moved from condo to another in this area. read more

He repaired our system to keep us comfortable until the new system was installed, even offered to come out if it stopped. We had choices in our system. I explained how the current location of the outdoor unit disturbed our sleep and they moved for us! Our new system was installed within a week. Great service! Our outside faucets were leaking so we called Plumbing Paramedics. They were able to come out the next day. Bobby was super nice and was able to fix the problem within a few minutes. I've dealt with other companies that made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. I called this company after reading the reviews online after waking up to no heat at all on one of the coldest days of the year. My inside temp was 50 degrees. I put in an emergency call at 6:38 am Tuesday 1/16/2018. I was advised a technician would call me when they were on their way to my home...I'm still waiting on that technician to call me. Absolutely unprofessional, especially in an emergency situation. Did not and will not ever use their services. Had to select at least one star in order to leave this comment however, I would choose zero if I could! read more

Be careful about using these guys. They are pricey and do not stand behind their work. They performed a drain clean for me and within 2 weeks, the problem reoccurred. They refused to acknowledge that the problem might have been on their end and kept restating that they can't control what is flushed down the toilet. When they offered to bring a camera with them, it seems they could easily scope the line and determine the cause of the blockage and if it was incomplete work on their end or another issue. They refused to work with me and insisted on an additional $250 charge on top of the $450 already paid to come our and do the work that was not completed properly. Also they lost the check I gave them in payment for service. read more
