The fruit tasted fresh, the Nutella wasn't overpowering, and everything was wrapped in a soft, perfectly cooked crepe. It was sweet without being overly rich, and the portion was generous enough to share (although I didn't want to!). Undeniable! Excellent Crepes! If you're anywhere near Monterey you gotta try Crepes on the Row. We popped in for some breakfast on the go and we couldn't have been happier with our meal. I wanted to get pictures of more crepes but everyone in my group gobbled theirs down before I could snap a few. I would recommend eating at the cafe. We had a difficult time finding a picnic area. The crepe was not fresh but was a premade stack of half crepes on the side of the hot iron. Then used his bare hands to handle the banana, no skin, cutting up on to the heated half crepe. Normally a crepe is made with fresh batter in front of you on the iron and it's a full circle, not half circle. People are rude. The servers have a big attitude. Just for asking questions on tipping were bothered. Besides over price it is cheap. Order a tea and it came burning. This is dangerous you burn your hand grabbing the cup and worse sipping it would cause a burn. It's not hard to make the tea with half hot water with half cold to make a drinkable temperature. Staff when I asked for them to fix this they wanted to dump half out and put ice. With their attitude do I trust them to take it back no? Charge for an extra cup and ice so yeah no thanks. You order at the counter and come grab your food when it's ready, so there's not a lot of service to talk about. We got one sweet and one savory crepe. I honestly barely remember what they were - neither one was amazing, just something to fuel ourselves up with before we braved the line for the aquarium. I liked sitting outside but the foot traffic is so heavy that people are staring into your mouth as you eat and bumping into your chair, so keep that in mind if you sit on the sidewalk. Very delighted to see a crepe shop so close to everything on Cannery Row! I was hungry but not starving and seeing this business on the street I knew a crepe would hold me over just right. Right off the bat, the shop itself was pretty cute. What I would expect from a crepe establishment. They offered a percentage off for cash transactions versus using plastic. I'm not sure if thats a regular thing or just a "I was there on that day" thing. The woman was friendly and patient with me being completely indecisive on my selection. I was warned of the time it'd take to be made which surprised me. Crepes aren't hard to make but the man behind the machine assured us it'd be 30 to 45 minutes in spite of me being the only order current on the docket. The crepe itself was delicious, I loved it. The service could use a quicker method but the friendliness of the woman made me feel welcomed. On a side note, I don't think I've ever been charged for whipped cream on a crepe before but this place did on the day I visited.
