Everything was amazing. This was one of our best away-from-home dining experiences in recent memory. Great service by Alisa. I'd go back tonight too if we weren't leaving. Pork chop not to be missed. Dining companion reported same for duck breast. Fantastic domestic Gruner Veltliner by the bottle.

Had an incredible experience here! Definitely recommend making reservations. My partner and I choose to split the pickleback chicken wings and the prime NY steak. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the chicken wings were super unique and delicious!! Highly recommend giving them a try if you are a pickle fan. Others in our party enjoyed the scallops and the salmon. We shared a couple desserts as well. Great service! If you're in the area and looking to enjoy a fancy meal, I recommend this place.

So much better than drinks on the mountain. It's a short walk from the tram and you can get world class wine at a decent price. Food wise, I missed the old menu. They had one of the best burgers that I've ever had! However it's not available now and that's a big disappointment. Now the menu has been significantly simplified. If the burger is available then it's a definite 5 stars. Unfortunately the food selection is sparse.

Stopped by after a long day of skiing for a snack and a drink. The attached restaurant is very fancy and doesn't open for dinner seating til 5:30, so we sat at the bar. We were offered a table with three chairs and a sofa chair. Our waitress brought menus and tell glasses of water. We had a round of cocktails and some appetizers. The NE clam chowder fries were delicious. Definitely not healthy haha. Reminiscent of poutine. The pickle back wings were standard. Nothing to write home about. The seafood poke cones were fun, hard to detect any seafood though. We had another round of drinks and sat for almost two hours. Our waitress was around often to check on us and refill our waters. Service was good. Bathrooms are clean. Menu selection of cocktails and food is good. Food could stand out a bit more. Convenient location to the slopes.

The place itself is quite small with limited parking, but everyone is nice and kind and they have little buzzers to notify you when your table is ready :) I got the French toast with strawberries and oh my goodness it was DELICIOUS. The French toast was a perfect blend of fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The bread itself was amazing. I opted in for some fresh strawberries, but you can get other fruit or a fruit syrup as well. The French toast also comes with warm maple syrup, and I can attest it was definitely warm. It made the whole eating experience feel luxurious, and I had a delightful time eating it all up. If I ever come back to Lake Tahoe for holiday, I will definitely need to swing by this place to experience this French toast again. So good!

Moderate portion size for price Unclear menu ------------- Worst food poisoning this decade. I told the waitress I had a dairy allergy, but she did not write it down. I asked about dairy in the dish I ordered; I'm pretty sure the kitchen switched out the chicken sausage from the menu for chicken&cheese sausage -- an avoidable error IF the kitchen is informed. Extremely disappointed.

We started with the lobster small dish as an appetizer and our 7 year old devoured most of it. It was so delicious. They were incredibly accommodating for my gluten-free and dairy-free needs. I was impressed with how they had special menus for each of my diet restrictions - the items to avoid were crossed off (see pic) which made it super easy to follow. My black cod was AMAZING, cooked perfectly, just the right amount of complimenting flavors and ingredients, in addition to great broccoli. Lastly, the fact they had even one gluten-free/dairy-free dessert option was mind blowing. I was so pumped. It was a smooth and super flavorful coconut passion fruit house made sorbet. I was in heaven. This isn't your typical dining establishment and their food definitely showcases that. And the views do too, holy smokes. Talk about a wag to enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe! We had a celebration dinner here and it was wonderful. The entire staff made an effort to make our evening special and memorable. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared with local, fresh ingredients. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Mine was a little off, due to my request to modify the dish. I have chemo food sensitivities. The servers were exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. You can tell the staff and owner take pride in making sure everyone has an enjoyable dining experience. The next day, the owner sent a very nice email to me, thanking us for choosing their restaurant for such a special occasion. Which I found very thoughtful and personable. The views are everything! Definitely an ideal location, right on the water.

All four of us loved the taste of our entrees and of the appetizers. Our server (Jigga) was excellent and attentive. The atmosphere was nice with a great view of the Truckee River, just 20 feet away from our window table. The bathrooms were clean. On the flip side, we were greeted rather rudely upon walking in. We arrived early especially to grab a drink and relax during happy hour. There were four of us and 2 bar stools, so we sat at one of the three empty high-tops next to the bar. The bartender told us we couldn't sit there and that we had to order drinks standing at the bar and then cash out before being seated for dinner. Our table in the dining room was waiting, but we still had to pay for drinks at the bar before being seated. It was very confusing the way things were handled, especially considering this restaurant is rated $$$ on Yelp. Long story short, we stood at the bar until our tab was settled. Then we noticed that we were not charged the happy hour pricing (we still had another 20 minutes). We brought it up with the bartender and she said, "you have to ask for the happy hour menu if you want happy hour prices." So immediately we felt unwelcome and as if we were being treated like "one-visit tourists". She didn't even offer to change our tab to reflect the happy-hour pricing. Unfortunately the bar confusion left a sour taste over much of the entire dinner, which otherwise would have been a fairly decent night out. Three-stars for the happy hour experience , and 4 stars for the restaurant.
