The plate also has pickled sweet peppers and a feta whip, and so all together this makes a great balance of flavors Roasted carrots --hearty portion with a labneh dip and preserved lemons There was not enough of the dip, imho, and we asked for more and they gladly gave us some no extra charge. Again, this was a great mix of flavors and textures. Oyster mushroom shashlick--the menu did not describe the sauce, which was a little spicy. (I'm sensitive to spice. Most would find this not spicy) Great tasting mushrooms that are skewered and grilled just like the meat versions at this restaurant. served with their smashed potatoes, which are crispy and seasoned. Chicken skewers --moist, with 8 bite-sized pieces. The potatoes are crispy and good. Overall, we liked all 4 items but I liked the beets the best! I tried the Fish and Chips this time, and it was delicious with crisp batter and tender fish. The slaw was crisp but mild, kind of the vanilla of slaws. It added texture but not much flavor. I finished with the Huckleberry River Cake, a creamy and tangy dessert with a rich berry sauce that was absolutely scrumptious. The atmosphere was relaxed. I was there on a work trip traveling solo and felt comfortable sitting at the bar. There were plenty of other guests talking and enjoying themselves, but it wasn't overly loud. It tasted really good, chicken was marinated and roasted to perfection. The asparagus and broccolini were cooked just right. It still had the right amount of crunch and it was lightly seasoned. Service was great, the hostess took my to go order and I sat and waited for 25 minutes. She was friendly and helpful. The corn came through and it went so well with the scallops. The tomatoes were quite over salted, but as long as I didn't eat them alone, it was alright.
