Stop number five on a SGV Bahn Mi food crawl! I arrived early in the morning for their highly…read moreregarded grilled pork sandwich. They have multiple locations all across the SGV which is a good sign that they are a local favorite. The store was clean and the staff, friendly. They sell a ton of other grab and go Vietnamese goods by the counter which seem to sell well and quite fast, so if you're looking for that, come early. Bahn Mi My Tho is my top pick for Thit Heo Nuong or Grilled Pork Bahn Mi. The pork was perfectly seasoned with a delicious lemongrass flavor, was slightly sweet and very tender. The addition of peanuts and green onions adds additional complexity while the fresh and pickled veggies offer the perfect balance. I very much enjoyed this sandwich and is one I would definitely get again!

Now I am curious on all the words after "Banh Mi". Btw, "Banh Mi" means sandwich in Vietnamese. Parking lot is quite tiny with maybe 15 spots, but we got lucky and snatched one spot upon arrival. Street parking may be available though. It's a small sandwich shop with a few tables/chairs outside and limited table and bar stool seating inside. What I find oddly interesting are the dried up plants at one corner of the wall. Not sure if they just wanted to put something there to take up space... at least have lively plants. They were super busy. Gentleman staff was okay. Menu is limited to sandwiches and cold/hot drinks. They also sell snacks and other dry goods on the side. I got 2 banh mi - 1 dac biet special and 1 grilled pork plus 1 Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. Wait time was a tad longer than expected. Strangely enough, a couple customers who ordered after me got their orders before me. I had to walk up to the counter to inquiry about my order. The gentleman immediately handed my order to me without calling my number. My order was just sitting on the counter. Hmmm? Hence, 4 stars. Coffee was quite strong, but good...very authentic stuff! Banh mi were out of this world delicious! They took it to a whole different level. It was the lemongrass flavor that made it golden. Bread was light and crispy. Tons of meat with fresh veggies. SO FLAVORFULLY GOOD! Yes, I'll be back. May I receive better timely service next time. If you haven't tried Banh Mi My Tho, the time is now. Go get them elevated banh mi!

Their house bread is Dutch crunch which is so good and crunchy! They also have whole wheat, SF sourdough, and gluten free options. Everything is so good. Just an FYI though they have a sandwich in the vegetarian section with Caesar dressing. They tell you at the register that it has anchovy...umm..that's fish! I subbed it for ranch for a truly vegetarian sandwich. Definitely a fun, clean and tasty spot. They give you a lollipop with each sandwich too.

I've gotten at least a dozen sandwiches (and likely more) from Ike's over the years, and it was always my favorite local sandwich shop after they finally opened a location in the northeast side of LA. But I must say, as of late, their quality is really not the same as the past. I recently ordered a sandwich that came with mushrooms and it was barely cooked and mostly raw. Having raw mushrooms in a sandwich is really not it, and considering each sandwich here is about $16+ post tax and tip (yes I did tip), I think we can expect a little better quality, or at the very least, not having basically raw mushrooms in a sandwich. While they do have many sandwiches to choose from on such a vast menu, and everything is customizable (just with additional charges), it does feel like they'd do better if they nail down some of the details like making sure their cooked ingredients are actually cooked. All that said, the store is kept clean, there's some dine in tables as well as outdoor seating. The music indoors is kept loud, and the decor is very colorful and bold. Service feels like what you'd expect from employing recent high school or college students at their first jobs, but it's always been polite. Pictured: one of the many sandwiches I've consumed over the years from Ike's. This one attached happened to be from 2023.

Everyone here is…read morealways so nice and hardworking and this time I got their passion fruit drink, homemade yogurt, special and pork meatball banh mis to try. The passion fruit drink was super bright sweet fragrant and fruity with crunchy passion fruit seeds and chewy rainbow jellies at the bottom. The homemade yogurt was the perfect creamy consistency, tangy, tart, and actually really yummy. Lowkey thought it was like coconut pudding or almond jello at first but it's yogurt. As usual super thoughtful banh mi packaging to make sure nothing gets soggy. And both had light crisp airy bread with plenty of fresh crunchy veggies, rich mayo and pate and plenty of meats. The special one had savory flavorful pork belly, crunchy pig ear, and bouncy Viet deli meats. My grandma's favorite type of banh mis are the specials and she thought this one was really good. Personally not for me. I did really like those meaty, soft, tender, savory meatballs with light crisp croutons in the banh mi tho. Affordable, quality, fresh, and super nice people. Overall this place is still pretty good. Passion fruit drink $6.50 Yogurt $3.50 Special banh mi $9 Xiu Mai Banh mi $9

I finally tried this place for brunch after passing by it for so many times…read more I ordered build-your-own omelette with mozzarella, spinach, and mushrooms. It came with a cup of salad on the side which was refreshing with the tangy vinaigrette dressing. I liked the sautéed mushrooms and spinach with their good seasoning. I also ordered their mixed berries sweet crepe. I didn't like this one at all because the crepe was not soft and it was like a thick layer as a bread dough. The smell of this crepe was not pleasant either. It was not good. Not recommend their crepe. On the other hand, the French toast was good with boriche bread. It tasted good with a balance of sweet and buttery. Added eggs and bacons for combo. Great portion for around $20. Berries, fruits, and salads tasted fresh here. Pistachio croissant was okay with flaky and crispy layers. It also had a pistachio cream filling inside. Not too sweet and it was good. But I think it would be better if it was warmed. I think the portion sizes were good for a brunch. Nice chairs and tables inside to try to create the feel of a cafe in Paris.

It's a BIG, thick burger, but it came drenched in a puddle of its own grease. The cooks cooked it perfectly, but its meat is extremely oily. I arrived at Eat Fantastic (Arcadia) on Monday (around 9:48AM). The business has its own small parking lot; I counted about 13 parking spots. The location also has a drive-thru. It's a very POPULAR spot! Staff is very friendly and diligent. Staff immediately helped me, and I felt welcomed. My food arrived in four minutes and six seconds. As mentioned, I ordered The G.O.A.T. Burger ($12.24). If the ingredients were fresher, it would have been a much better experience. Still, there's an appreciated juicy, meat flavor since it's cooked well. Unfortunately, it's also a very messy burger that's drenched in its own grease. I had that annoying oily aftertaste desperately clinging onto me after this meal. I felt the urge to shower after eating. On ambiance, Eat Fantastic (Arcadia) is lovely. Although it's odd how no music played, I appreciated the big flat screen television displaying the baseball game. The location is also kid friendly since I counted a few high chairs for kids. Also, it's well-shaded, airy, and clean. I appreciate the hard effort towards making this dining area spotless and comfortable. In addition, Eat Fantastic (Arcadia) has about 10 tables and one long table. Also, there's a nearby gender neutral restroom for customers. Overall, Eat Fantastic (Arcadia) has potential. Although the meat tastes cheap, it's prepared at an exemplary level. Maybe I'll return in the future, but as of now, it's just an adequate option for customers that like affordable but very greasy food. 3.9 out of 5
