Used them for a move recently. Returned to our prior home to find they left the front doors both wide open and the washing machine spigots spraying water all over the laundry room because they hadn't been shut off properly. Also inexplicably missing power cords as well as all our lampshades and lightbulbs. I didn't expect them to lock up but at least tell me the doors are open. The remainder of our stuff could easily have been stolen by even the least motivated of thieves. There also could have been some pretty severe water damage if I didn't return sooner. We tried to contact the owner about the issues and were completely ignored. I'd stay away from these movers. Certainly not worth the $210/hr read more

Had a complicated move to do yesterday. It required a pickup and then three different stops to offload. The move went flawlessly. First, I asked for a quote online after hours, and got a call within an hour from the owner, who provided a verbal quote. Second, when I had more details finalized, I got a written quote. Third, when I confirmed I wanted to use them, I got a confirmation of the move PLUS as I had changes (and I had a few), I got prompt responses. Fourth, the day of the move, the movers called me when they were on their way; They clarified all the items and where they were going so they could be loaded in the right order and then delivered everything to the right spots. And last, but surely not least, Tim and Eddy were wonderful to work with. Efficient, careful (for instance, putting a runner down so the floors were protected), and with a sense of humor. PNW Preferred was one of six companies that I reached out to for our move. They were not the cheapest option out there. In fact they were the second most expensive hourly rate. One perk to their pricing is that they charge the time from start point to end point. They have a flat rate travel charge of $50, which they waived for us because I got back to them when I said I anticipated on making my decision. If they charged like other companies where your time starts when they leave their location and ends when the arrive back at their location, that would've added at least an extra hour [without traffic] for us. I didn't need to make a deposit and signed a contract for the move. I called the day before our move to update some information and they said they were just about to call me, too. They just experienced truck troubles and needed to delay our start time. I was honestly relieved because we had a lot of personal things going on and it gave us breathing room. But I did worry a little because we needed to move. Moving day. They were on time. Three really tall guys with one huge truck. They moved quickly and handled everything with care. They took whatever trash they created like the plastic wraps and mattress protector. My only complaint is that they didn't put down anything to protect the floors until they saw that they tracked mud on the carpet on the stairs. They did clean it and then laid down mats after that. It was also a little unprofessional for them to ask to use a phone charger. Overall, we were satisfied with the whole experience from quote to final payment. I'm glad that we had the opportunity to work with a local company. And as a FYI, we normally give bottled water to our movers but we only had Capri Sun and they appreciated it... a lot! read more

I had to unload a storage container at a warehouse and move the contents into my apartment. I reached out to several moving companies for a quote online. PNW Preferred offered a great rate and they had no problems with getting the job done (another company actually told me that they don't even unload containers...I thought that was weird). Theo was pleasant to talk with and I could tell he had moving industry knowledge. On the day of the move PNW Preferred kept me in the loop of their status and even sent me a link that lets you track their moving truck. The movers were very friendly and easy to talk with. We are so happy we chose PNW Preferred for our big (and hopefully final) move. We had two movers and one truck and moved from an apartment to a townhome. They wrapped everything with care, we didn't have anything harmed or broken in the move. The guys moved us during a random hailstorm and were cheery and friendly the duration. The entire interaction from reaching out to them for a quote, to moving, went smooth. I would definitely recommend this moving company to anyone who is moving in/ around the area. I will say I was hesitant with the low number of total reviews they had, being a newer company. But their professionalism and kindness hooked me and I am so so happy we chose them to help us move. They were the first to contact me when I requested a quote, they provided excellent service along the way, communication was above average (even calling to tell me they'd be a couple minutes late due to traffic). They were efficient, friendly, and very helpful. Plus, they do not charge until they are actually at your place to begin the move. That probably deducted $100.00 or more off the cost of our move. The WORST moving experience I ever had because of this company. I would do 0 stars if I could. I have moved a lot due to military relocations so we have used different movers but this was the worst I have encountered . What was supposed to be an easy move from one unit to another in the same building ended up being more of a hassle. When scheduling it seemed great , best priced compared to others . I did not get a cost estimate in writing and that was my mistake because I was rushing and needed to move last minute due to a overbook in the original movers I was hiring. They booked this move as just a labor moved and no packing involved so that is part of the issue of this move. (I did not know , as it was discussed as everything needed to be moved over and not just the heavy Items) . The first issue was that they were late , the move was scheduled for an 11-11:30AM start time and was even confirmed by email. They never showed until I called and turned out they had a computer issue and it showed the scheduled time in their system for 3:30 PM . The guy apologized and got the guys out here as soon as they could which was still last at 2:00 PM. I was not mad as scheduling issues happen. What upset me the most about this move was that they damaged Two 4k computer monitors and said nothing along with dropping multiple plants which died due to them. Dirt was all over the floors and the movers barely handled with care. They were booked for 5 hours and we were willing to pay longer if it meant everything will be moved. They only stayed the 5 hours and did not finish moving everything. The 2 Monitors that were broken we first saw a scratch and asked the movers and they said they did not do it but any damages found can be reported to dispatch. After they left we realized they completely broke the monitors. I called their dispatch sent images and make and models of the Monitors to them. At first I Told that WA State requires only a 66 Cent Per pound reimbursement for damagers. I was immediately upset but let the representative talk. He then tells me that usually since this was a labor move they do not cover damages! but for this instance and that supposedly the scheduler and I had mis-communication on how the move would be done, they would apply it as a courtesy but it would only be $15. So he then tells me that he will even increase it to $250 total due to all the issues. I was completely upset that amount does not even cover 1 of the monitors I lost and I still have to move the rest of the Items their mover did not move over. They refused to even increase the amount to half of the cost of each monitor and that was all I got reimbursed even though I paid them 1200 for the move, Fed the movers out of kindness and tipped each of them $100 each in cash. The guy who also scheduled me even tried to argue that I should have scheduled an earlier time for this move because I also complained that the movers did not transfer everything. I did schedule early and They were 3 hours late . He even argued that I did not specify I needed packing done because I made a comment that I would try to pack over the phone with him in the original phone call but that I work and I am a student so I need everything transferred over.(this was the miscommunication he spoke about. I took the money cause that's all they would give me back. (they did pay me the $250 after I had to call and email again the next day because I did not receive the money yet) Yes they are cheap but not worth the Hassel! Find a better moving company they gives actual estimate bids, Shows up on time, and treats you and your Personal Items with care. read more

Movers were affordable, on time, friendly, and fast! We didn't have to move everything in one go as we're moving over a couple weeks, but we needed help with the big, heavy, and awkward stuff. Our destination had a long walk from the elevator to our apartment and they still managed to get everything loaded and unloaded faster than I could have on my best day. We had them pack up our entire house which they did carefully and quickly; everything showed up well-labeled and intact, including some fragile artwork and dishes. Great guys. They were friendly, communicative and respectful of our possessions. Although they work hourly, they worked fast so you don't feel your money slip away. I downsized from a 4 bedroom to a 1 bedroom and transferred things to a storage unit in between. They offered a discount just by doing an estimate. Will hire again in the future. read more

PNW Preferred was INCREDIBLE! Theo really helped me out! Needed to meet at my storage facility, load up there & bring contents to my home. Their promised time to meet me was right on the the minute! The 2 movers were quick, professional & both gentlemen. My requirement was small as I did not have many items to be transfered from storage to my home. Really appreciated PNW had a 1 hour minimum charge compared to 2 other companies I called who had a 2 hr minimum. Plus PNW's hourly rate was lowest!
