    Palusami and fa'i
    L F.

Got out of church and was craving some Samoan food. Headed over to Poasa's to satiate my craving. My sister kept it simple with Taro & Povi masima (cured beef). I got fai (boiled green banana), sapasui (chop suey), sosisi (sausages), and palusami (coconut milk & onions baked in taro leaves). Everything was delicious and fresh. The kind lady who was working even threw in a loaf of fresh Samoan bread. I loved everything, and will definitely be back. 10/10

The food at poasa is good and authentic my wife and I stopped by to get some grub and had the warmest welcome it felt like a family reunion. It's cafeteria style and you just pick you food and pay it's by weight so the more you get the more it will cost. Are food was lovely I just wish we had more sua on the kalo and fai. Other then that everything was good. Loved this place will be back

Small store that serves bakery and samoan lunch/dinner plates. The kind workers were very helpful to instruct us on how to order. The ambience is pretty chill as well. The food was good. I ordered the palusami, chop suey, faia i'a and turkey tail. The palusami was so delicious. It had good texture (not hard and not clumpy) to the taste and it was creamy. The faia i'a was so good I wanted more! Fish with mixed coconut mayo and half&half and onions. Sooooooo good probably my favorite!! Honestly I would return if I were in town. Thank you Poasa Imports for the yummy samoan food!

Fresh Samoan Bread, Fresh Samoan Pineapple Pies, Banana Bread, Kekepua'a (Pork Bun) all yum

1st time here. Great experience shopping for all my family's Samoan favorites. This morning I walked into an empty store with so many delicious looking Samoan food all around me. No line. The friendly service provided by Karisma, Lau, and Toi was so good. Thank you. We will post pictures of the food soon. As I left the store I turned around and the line was pretty long. Can't wait to taste the awesome food you all made; God bless Update: came back today because I didn't get the bread I paid for since my order was large and it was crazy busy but Karisma took care of me and Toi today so kind. Plus I bought more Samoan favorites as shown in the photo ;P

Corned Beef Brisket, Sapasui, taro & banana in coconut milk, palusami and baked fish. Wonderful!

My first time eating Samoan food and it did not disappoint! The food was fresh, the staff was friendly and the flavors were extremely delicious. I will be back the next time I come to Carson! My family and I drove all the way from Temecula CA just to try the food. This trip was well worth it.

A little bit of this and that of some good ol fashion samoan delights..

Stopping in on the way back home to Fresno and it was the best decision today yet. Good ol fashion samoan food that puts an extra 20 pounds on and makes you go nite nite right afterwards. Staff was legit and helpful and the food, well let's just say I'm glad we stopped in. Living in the central valley with a very small population of samoans and no samoan food/shops, I look forward to trips to the bay or down south just for that samoan taste. But these guys down here DEFINITELY put forth the good strong work with that samoan taste.. Yeeeeese

First timer here! FRESH, good quality Samoan food. I love that this store is so clean and well organized. Quick fix to satisfy your taste buds when they're itching for some Polynesian food. Weekends they get packed, so be sure to come early. They also sell freshly baked bread & pagi popo. Sapa sui, fai, taro, mamoe, mulipipi, bbq chicken, sosisi, povi masima, curry & on weekends they sell sua fai! YUMMO and fairly priced. Great Poly store

Can I buy fresh taro leaves here?

Thankfully I've had some great exciting with this type of fish in the last few weeks but DARROW'S is and has been the best. That's why I titled this review THE GOAT. The food and service was that good! I had the Catfish Po'Boy the greens and the Bean Balaya. The flavor was perfectly savory. Straight up mouth Mardi gras. Yes I said it. Party was in my mouth. I loved everything and even ate my friends leftovers with no shame. The ownership and the whole crew working there were upbeat and friendly. I loved this spot! I'll definitely be back. There was such genuine warmth and kindness. They didn't make us feel like we were simply customers having a birthday dinner, they made us feel like family. As a daughter, there's something incredibly special about watching your dad turn 80 and seeing him happy, laughing, sharing stories about our family history, and surrounded by people who truly enjoyed celebrating him. By the end of the evening, it felt like Pops had gained a new Darrow's family, and that touched my heart. Thank you, Darrow's, for loving on my dad and helping our family celebrate 80 years of his life. You played an instrumental part in creating a memory that we will cherish for years to come. The food was wonderful, the service was exceptional, but the way you made my dad feel is what I'll remember most. Five stars PLUS! + We will absolutely be back.

I found parking in the front but learned after my visit that there is additional parking in the rear--using that option next time. I ordered the Thai Tea Matcha and the Peach Cobbler Matcha, both iced with oat milk--both tasty! The flavors were nuanced especially the spices in the peach cobbler syrup. Not over sweet--major plus. The matcha was prominent and was vibrant in color. First time having Thai Tea with matcha and it works! The earthiness from the matcha brings out the tea flavor, IMO. I highly recommend! The menu features a variety of signature drinks, including Rosemary Fig and Blueberry Chai. Additionally, they offer cold brew, drip coffee and espresso-based drinks. Drinks might be in a rotation so there is something new to try to every week. The place is spacious, the decor is inviting and complimentary Wi-FI is available. I tried their Blueberry Matcha and their Peach Cobbler - Both were not too sweet, and it really tasted like I was drinking a blended peach cobbler pie and blended blueberries. It doesn't have a manufactured taste to it, I swear the syrups are home made LOL. I love the atmosphere inside - Hanging plants, artwork on the walls, good vibes all around. When I asked the cashier for more time she seemed annoyed, mind you there was only one other person and she was waiting for her friend to call back because she also was doing the same and waiting for a text based upon pictures. The cashier acted annoyed that the both of us were waiting for text before finalizing our order. Meanwhile? I had asked for another sample of the oyster but she curtly told me that there's only one sample per person (this should have been posted). The cashier Joyce was unpleasant in her demeanor and didn't bother to say thank you for your purchase and I had to request for a receipt of the over $40 worth of poe I had just made.
