This company is a scam I canceled my order twice 2 times and received 2 emails of the order cancelation. On the day before the original order date they tried to charge my credit card fortunately I has placed a block after the second cancellation. Tried to call customer support and they said that I couldn't cancel the order because it was past the cancellation date the secod cancellation eas in March and delivery was originally scheduled the middle of May I switch to Rat Pack and received exemplary service. Do not ever use Pods.com. I booked a Pod to be delivered to my driveway today. Due to a light snow, they sent me a text & email TODAY, rescheduled to next Tuesday. They are 10 minutes from our home. I called, told them I have 6 people driving from Cali to help me move, my husband is terminally ill & I need to pack the Pod this weekend while I have help. Sorry, no Pods available for tomorrow & Sunday we are closed. Are you kidding me? You can't pay someone OT & have them drive one 10 minutes from the warehouse on Sunday. No, sorry, we are closed. Yelp, BBB, every forum I can think of will have a scathing review from me. Horrible customer service, callous, heartless company with I will never do business with again. I wish I had read the reviews before I called them and STAYED AWAY! This was a terrible experience and I didn't even use them! They took my credit card to hold a spot saying it would only be active if I accepted the agreement on line. They promised nothing would be charged to my card unless I accepted the agreement online. This is a lie!! You CANNOT decline the agreement online! You have to call! And, what they don't tell you is that you have to call more than 3 days before to cancel the agreement you never signed. I called the day before because I got an email saying they were going to deliver the pods and I canceled it. Despite telling me that everything was canceled, they showed up the next day and then billed my card. I tried to resolve the issue by phone calls and was told it was resolved and my card would be refunded. But this too was a lie. Their representative said that they would investigate and contact me about a resolutions, but she didn't respond to my emails or phone calls. Turns out they decided not to refund my card and now I have to dispute it with my credit card company. Do your self a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! read more

My experience has been nothing but positive so far. I ordered 3 PODs for my move from Eugene to Portland and the delivery and pick up was easy & convenient. everything worked well & the customer service was excellent. Working with PODS for our cross country move has been the WORST MISTAKE we've made. From the beginning we told them we weren't sure of our final delivery zip code. No problem. Pick the closest one you think it'll be. So we did. Now that we have a zip code they're telling us they won't deliver. So we either need to pick up our stuff from an hr away or pay them $1,500 more to move our items to another storage center (that is just as close miles wise from our new house and the current storage center). Please, NEVER use or refer anyone to them. They have horrible customer service and refuse to let ilus speak with a manager or the storage facility. $10,000 later and we're left with no resolution and poor options. read more

I agreed to use the PODS storage service after calling and confirming they would deliver to the cities in which I was looking to move. I was told that yes they deliver as long as the truck can physically get there (as they cannot travel narrow gravel or mud roads, for example). I called today to schedule delivery and they said they don't deliver to that zip code (which is easily accessible right off a major highway and has a huge parking lot). So next I gave them the zip codes to the cities I mentioned in the initial phone call and they said they don't deliver to those zip codes. I said that is not what your sales rep told me. Then I found a zip code for a very rural area 5 miles north from my desired drop off spot and they said yes they do deliver there... I said why don't you just drive 5 more miles on the highway and deliver to location you said you would 4 months ago? They reiterated that they don't deliver to that zip code. I have escalated the issue twice and advised them to listen to the recorded initial call that I made. They have 90% of my belongings in their possession and they won't deliver as they promised when I agreed to use their services. They are not following through on their commitment they made when won my business. False advertising. Shady salesman. Illogical thought process for an easily resolved issue. read more

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. I researched very thoroughly when finally deciding on PODS. They were considerably pricier than other container companies but I found out the quality was much better with PODS. For one thing Pack Rat Stores its containers out in a parking lot with no protection from the elements and they had very bad reviews. The care and customer service was excellent with Pods. If you ask for a discount through your car insurance carrier you can get about 500 off the rate. ( that was a huge help off a you tube video I found where the guy mentioned I do that) Adam the driver that delivered my pod to Oregon was great! He called me personally to tell me to get my neighbors to move the cars from the street so he could park there. ( my only negative comment is that the reps should ask if you are parking on the street , they should tell you how much clearance the driver will need and to call the town to see if you need a permit) I was never told this upon booking and that was a scary moment or or two. Thankfully I got the neighbors to move but if pods had to come back I would of had to pay another re delivery fee and a cancellation fee on my movers. My Driver Adam, was so great he called his supervisor and came back an hour later to give me time to get the neighbors to move. That was AWESOME customer service. My stuff came well preserved and no damage. Considering the movers wanted 12K to move m y stuff from Florida to Oregon, PODS at 5K was a GREAT savings and I was AMAZED at how much stuff fit in the largest container. I was able to get everything in it that we needed with room to spare! read more

By far the worst corporate customer experience I have had in a long while. The company is based on non-transparency. They prevent the consumer from basic knowledge regarding contracts and fees, then basically bully the consumer into submission. Meanwhile they possess all of their belongings, held hostage until the consumer relents to unethical business practices. At all costs avoid this company. read more

We just had the worst possible experience with PODS in Wilsonville, as we moved a POD from California to Oregon. First, they were late to pick up our POD in CA, and only showed up after repeated phone calls. Then it got really bad. Our POD did not arrive in Oregon when it was promised. After calling customer support over and over, it finally arrived two weeks late. It was beginning to feel as if our POD was being held hostage in CA. And, were we notified it had arrived? Nope. We only found out by calling them repeatedly. But then it got really bad. On the day/time they were to deliver the POD to our storage unit (and for which we had movers standing by to help us unload), they were a complete no-show. They promised to deliver it the following morning between 8-10am, and again were a no-show. All the while, we're paying our movers to sit and do nothing. Finally, again after repeated phone calls, the local driver appeared. He was, of course, surly and a "not my job" kind of guy. The corporate culture at PODS is diseased. They lie, they cheat, and no one gives a darn. The worst customer service ever, and an experience from hell. Run away as fast as you can. read more

I am in tears today because PODS Customer Service is awful. I was able to schedule same day delivery and same day pick up online (unfortunately where I live does not allow it to sit longer). I get a call the day before and the time windows overlapped so I called to see what happened. I was told that my area does not offer same day and he would put a note in to try and get it picked up next day and for me to call back. I call back and no one is willing to help me. I have the emails and screen shot the schedule when I set it up so I have the proof it was scheduled. Now because I can not have it left here I am forced to have it placed outside the facility so I can rent a Uhaul and unload it. But now they are telling me they are going to charge me a fee for even coming out here even though it was an IT glitch. The sad thing is this is not my first issue with them. I would up with two Uboxes from Uhaul because PODS wanted to charge me almost $100 more than my first POD because its "moving season". So I went with Uhaul as their price was no different from when I originally looked into them for a quote. Has the best customer service and I will always go with them from now on and NEVER use PODS again! I will also make sure my clients steer clear of this company as well when they move. Never should moving day go this way where you are left in tears and no resolutions from the company. I am now forced to rent a uhaul drive 30 min to unload the box and unload again at my home. The reason that PODS is getting only 3 stars and not 5 is because on delivery and pick up they are consistently late. They call the night before and say the range they will be in and then at least two hours after that they are late. Right now I am waiting for them to pick up the pod that was scheduled betweens like 8 - 12 and I have called at 12:30 and 2:00 to say its not been picked up and when will it? No answer as to when and now at 2:56 it is still sitting in my driveway. Still no call from anyone that they are on their way. Not cool. read more

Delivered on time for loading . Price, kind of high. Ease of access to the pod, terrible. Customer service hit or miss. There are no local numbers to call and the office where my POD is stored was kept locked, no waiting room, toilet etc. I called in advance for access as requested (wed for Saturday more than 48 hrs) and scheduled 11 am access. When we arrived it wasn't there, and the guy who was working told me he couldn't help me, that tje guy who could was at a birthday party so "go enjoy lunch". We then Waited until after 2 pm on the scheduled day, for them to bring POD out of the warehouse. I had my 8 year old with me in addition to people who took time out of their schedule to help me get items out of it. We were in the middle of a heat wave. Did our best to stay cool and amuse ourselves in the the little bit of shade available on the bark dust next to the asphalt. When the POD was finally brought out of the warehouse the tag that identified it as mine prevented me from opening it. Turns out it was put in the wrong place. Heavy plastic, needed a knife. People working there were apologetic but basically acted like our time had no meaning. Another woman showed up and her POD was available. Lots of other delivered Pods appeared to take priority over getting mine out to me. Super dissatisfied. Moving is already stressful. I defiantly won't do this again. read more

Larry E. 8-31-16 I used PODS for a nationwide move in 2008 and had a great experience on both ends of the move. We are now in the process of moving from Florida back to Oregon also using PODS again, the move started out great in Florida but when I made the effort to get the shipment going into Wilsonville, Oregon I ran into a major issue, they requested the final zip code destination and then told me they do not service the area, the first suggestion was we could have another mover come to Holiday, Fl to unpack the PODS and ship by a different carrier, or we could ship to a zip they service, or we could ship to the Wilsonville center, rent a truck and come unpack on their lot and reload to finish the move. The area we are moving is 12 miles from Salem, Oregon which I know they service so I tried to request a variance on two different days with two different PODS service people, trying to work out a solution, both times the destination center manager said they could not accommodate my request so we are going to have to either hire another mover to unpack/repack or do it ourselves, I am 67 years old and have a disability which I explained but that did not make any difference to the DC manager. We will get thru this but the issue is extremely poor customer service, we believe there should have been a workable solution, PODS does not. We will never recommend nor use them again after this experience. read more

The storage units themselves are fine. Probably the worst customer service and billing of a company I have dealt with. In addition to rude customer service agents, over billings, and time I spent following up on problems with billing you have to schedule pick and delivery out over a week in advance. They will change you an extra billing cycle regardless if it takes them extra time to pick up the pod or not. Would never recommend them or use them again. read more

Nightmare. After paying for months of storage it took them over 2 weeks to deliver our PODs to our new home. They said it would be delivered over and over again - we hired movers and the PODs were not delivered. Once we got them we realized they put our PODs in our driveway that is basically on a slope. Once Opened the contents shifted and furniture broke like crazy. Horrible experience! read more

Terrible customer service. Two weeks out to deliver my belongings because they are overbooked!

Use ANY other company other than PODs to move your belongings! First they deliver the second POD backwards where I couldn't even open the door after explaining how it needed to be positioned to them in a very clear manner... they blocked my work truck in because they didn't back it up the extra five feet so my fence would clear so I have had no truck and no parking. Topping this all off it has now been FIVE days from the scheduled pick up date. At the end of day Friday they told me they had the wrong address and that they promise to be there Saturday. When I got home from work Saturday and it was still there I politely called and asked them why it hadn't been picked up yet, naturally they apologized up and down while promising to pick it up Monday. I get home Monday and what do you know.... drum roll... it's still there. By now I am extremely frustrated, this time when I call they blame it on snow (it snowed for a couple hours but didn't stick to any roads in Portland) and tell me they will pick it up Tuesday morning for sure and that their manager just confirmed with the driver. So today (Wednesday) when I get home and it's still sitting here I look to see if there office is still open so I can drive down there and explain in person how frustrating it has been dealing with their lack of professionalism. They of course blame the driver and swear up and down to pick it up by 5pm tonight. 5:00.... 5:15..... 5:30..... what do you know??? Nope no truck! Just got off the phone with them, they now tell me it must be picked up already because the order was cancelled. I'm going to drag this thing out into the middle of the road with my truck and time them because I'm sure once the fire department or police are wondering why their pod is in the middle of the road they will magically have a driver in the neighborhood. I never raised my voice or yelled one time on the phone, this is by far the worst private company I have ever done business with. Have a wonderful time moving using anyone but pods. read more
