I was very disappointed with my experience. The coffee was lukewarm and lacked flavor, especially considering the premium prices. The café itself was not particularly clean, with several tables left uncleared during my visit. Service was slow, and staff seemed uninterested in assisting customers or addressing concerns. I understand that every business can have an off day, but the overall experience fell well below expectations. There are many coffee shops that offer better quality, service, and atmosphere. I was " greeted " by a very disturbed looking individual at the counter who mumbled something so I assumed they wanted to know what I wanted so I said "large iced coffee black " and I received a look that could only be described as a scowl. Stopped in for an emergency shot of espresso and this place did not disappoint at all. As I was ordering the coffee this mammoth sized perogies caught my eye and I couldn't resist. I got the chicken perogie and although it was piping hot out of the oven, I was still satisfied. The seating is perfect for doing work on the computer or just sitting by the window and people watching. Everything came out pretty quickly as well so thumbs up for that. Got an oat milk latte which was good. The barista was friendly and the prices weren't too bad! The space itself is small but there is more space to sit outside and enjoy your coffee. I stopped by here while waiting for reservations for another place. It's a really cute little coffee shop. Everything around here seems like it's small on the inside, but this place has a decent amount of seating. I just wanted something warm I went with a matcha latte with almond milk. It's nice that they have a variety of non-dairy milk for folks with weak stomI forgot to ask for honey, so I just added sugar in the raw. It's not bad. A great place to come by to do work. The coffee is decent and cheaper than most places. Wifi works well, and there are outlets scattered throughout the store. It's not jam packed like other work cafes. The bathroom is clean. They even have a printer if you find yourself having to print something. read more

I've been to my fair share of coffee shops around Williamsburg, and Poetica has been bookmarked for quite some time so happy I tried it out! Went to work there and it's a great place for that-- big tables and seating in the back! The wifi was a tad finnicky to connect to, but once I was connected there were no issues there. I had a flat white and thought it was delicious. The only reason I'd give this 4 stars is because I wasn't a huge fan of the pastries. I tried the almond croissant and it wasn't quite flaky or laminated. Nonetheless, for a coffee + work vibe, I will be back! read more

At the time of this review (Oct 2022) it's hidden behind some construction. I had been passing by it for weeks before realizing there was a coffee shop here! The coffee was okay on the day I went. It didn't taste very strong and also not the fruity/acidic type. I got the poetica latte for my boyfriend. The barista described it as a vanilla latte made with real raw or cane sugar (I don't really remember) so it's a little sweeter. I'm not one for sweet drinks but I tried a sip and it was quite delicious. I think my boyfriend liked it. I think it's great for working. There was an outlet at my table, strong WiFi, a restroom, quite a few small and big tables, and also a communal table. They even have this phone booth thing that costs $5/30min, it's handled through some third party business but it looked like you ask for a key from the front lol. Also not sure if it's because of the construction but there were only 2-3 people sitting there all morning so it felt quite spacious. read more

Hey! I know this place from Brooklyn! It's a small local chain, with a friendly and cozy vibe. They have really good coffee, nothing fancy but great quality. They bake everything at the shop! Croissants are very delicious and giant. I also like the cinnamon scone and spinach feta bistro. They also have baked pierogis if you need a small savory bite.
