[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pogo's is absolutely beautiful inside, very modern, warm, and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had an early reservation, and it was fairly quiet, which made the experience even more enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had been excited to try this restaurant after hearing such great things, and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by the staff right away and everyone was incredibly friendly. As soon as I opened the menu and saw they had a Hugo Spritz, I didn't even need to look any further. You don't see those around here often, and it was excellent. I ordered the lobster ravioli, my husband had the veal, and we shared the onions as a side, everything was delicious. The service was fantastic, and our waiter was attentive. I also completely forgot to take a picture of the bruschetta because it was that good. We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic! Been here twice in 2 years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cosy candlelight setting for dates or small groups[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think small menu rotates almost daily Had a Silciialian Sunset cocktail (4 roses bourbon/ amaretto/ egg white/ lemon) - fabulous!! Lemon offset the amaretto sweetness perfectly Rather than bread and butter they provide a peanut- honey mixture with fluffy pita that has been briefly charred. I could sit here all night munching that and order more cocktails My bolagnaise (spelled wrong thanks speech to text!) Absolutely perfect. The meat was rich and the pasta al a dente and tasted fresh I finished off with the apple cobbler topped with a honey Gelato. I should have stopped but it was so gooey and tart-sweet I just had to finish it I forget what i ordered 2 years ago but it was so unique and fantastic this became a need-to return place!!!! Make a reservation this will not disappoint!!

We love it here, I said it before and I'll say it again: this is a hidden gem in Amelia! It's positively wonderful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is modern yet cozy and everything from the menu to the staff is perfectly curated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Brooklyn was so kind, offered help on the menu and was around everytime we needed her but didn't feel like she was hovering. The menu always has exactly what you are craving and everything is so fresh. We had the bread board which is so fun and always freshly baked. This time went with oysters and a salad to start and then shared the braised short rib and gnocchi for entrees. Everything was so tender and delicious as well as fairly priced. We met another couple on our way out that was also raving about their meal. Definitely try the short rib, it's genuinely exquisite.

We had a great dinner at Pogo's. We had a reservation and were seated as soon as we walked in. Our server came quickly with water and took our drink order. She was friendly, made enough conversation to make us feel like she was glad we were there but also respected our privacy. We ordered the tuna tartare for an app and it was very good. Then came boiled peanut hummus. This was a free serving that everyone gets. It taste a lot like peanut butter, I didn't really care about it one way or the other but my wife really liked it. For entrees I had the Bolognese and my wife had the seared scallops. My wife commented that the scallops were the best she ever had. She is not one to finish a meal usually but she finished all of this. The Bolognese was very good. The sauce had good flavor, plenty of meat and the cheese was fresh on top. My wife has a severe bell pepper allergy. The server took note of this and everyone who would have contact with our food knew to take special care with her plate. This is a really big deal and I don't know that any place has ever taken this allergy so seriously. This is an upscale place that is still reasonably priced and goes over and above for their customers.

Really should be 4.5, but Yelp doesn't offer halves. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere here is always quite mellow.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sunday Brunch in particular. All the food is outstanding, which is why we come back often. The service can be slow and a bit absent - minded. Hence the half star. Overall an excellent experience, though.

I am torn about my review. Our only complaint was the wait time for our food (I will include the time stamps from my phone). Other than our wait time, we thought everything else was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is beautiful, and service was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside; the heaters made it feel very comfortable on a chilly evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our food seemed fresh and was very delicious!

I was in the area with some old friends and Pogo's came recommended from a friend of a friend. We couldn't resist the opportunity to get snazzed up and go out for an evening of good drinks, good food, and a whole lot of catching up. The weather was not the best and we were running a little late. The restaurant was understanding and helped us shift our reservation to accommodate our late arrivals. Once there, we ordered a round of cocktails and then some shareables. My very favorite was the boiled peanut hummus served with grilled pita, which had strong pad Thai vibes. It was delicious! My second favorite was the calamari. It was well flavored and perfectly cooked. The group also tried the cheese board and burrata. Some in the group weren't a fan of the mortadella on the cheese board. For dinner, I had the lasagna. It wasn't a traditional, casserole-style dish. It was rolled up layers and then grilled/sautéed on the ends to give a nice sear. Then it was served on a big schmear of sauce. It was very fresh (had farm to table vibes) and I could taste the vegetables in the rolls (yum!). Sadly, we didn't try desserts because it was late and we were stuffed. Goals for next time ...

Exceptional Service That Turned a Mishap into a Great Memory…read moreI recently had an issue with a thoughtful gift certificate my son sent me for The Boat House. In a moment of clumsiness, I accidentally deleted the email and thought it was gone for good. I reached out in desperation, and to my surprise, manager Colin personally stepped in. He contacted corporate right away and made sure the gift certificate was resent to me promptly. That kind of care and follow-through is rare these days, and it speaks volumes about the family-oriented, customer-first culture at The Boat House. It made me even more excited for our next visit. Thank you, Colin, and the whole team -- you've gained a loyal customer and turned what could have been a frustrating situation into one that highlights why The Boathouse stands out. Highly recommend!

We had the Bleu Cheese chips which were really good. They are homemade potato chips bathed in a delicious queso and sprinkled with bleu cheese crumbles. A perfect companion to my prosecco. Our server Kaylee was engaging and well informed about the menu items and the wine list. When my friend was unsure of which of two wines to choose, she offered a sample of each. Nice touch. We split the Burrata and Fig appetizer and it was delicious. Our friends chose the Polpetta con Polenta and it was equally as delicious. The wines by the glass were fairly priced and there were plenty of choices. My main was the Braised Beef Short Rib over mushroom ravioli. Big portion and incredible flavors. My wife had the Gnocchi al Pesto and was also very pleased. Like the wine, the entrees were fairly priced. We split a piece of the Limoncello cake which was light and flavorful.
