about a month ago, I had an issue with my RAV4 2013. I took it to the Toyota dealership and so nervous because I was hoping it wasn't something major. They kept my car pretty much the whole day and then towards the end of the day gave me the news. They said that they had checked everything and realized that a torque converter that was locking up and I pretty much just needed a new transmission which was about $7000, I about had a heart attack that was it cut and dry. Nothing else. No, maybe you could do this, nothing. I decided to get a second opinion at point S in Creswell. And I came across a gentleman by the name of Luke. He was very nice listened to what was going on and totally gave me Hope, he said we could do a partial drain and fil to see if that might work, and let me tell you that went well, we did the drain and fill, my car has been driving super changing gears and all. Funny What a partial draining fI'll and so some kindness can do and can throw out at least some ideas to help instead of just one big drastic solution cut and dry. Point S in Creswell is AMAZING! Relocating from Alaska to the east coast, this morning I had a tire basically disintegrate on my enclosed trailer heading out of Eugene on I-5. I called Spot S and explained my situation. The staff was awesome, I decided to drive the trailer onto Spot S's property, once I arrived Tanner immediately came out to asses my predicament, made suggestions and sprung to action. Ricky was equally awesome, he worked hard to unravel the shredded tire mess I created, and swiftly mounted new tires to the rims and checked the bearings for wear finding at least one that was bad. After finding that issue the service writers Luke and Earl squeezed the bearing service into their schedule. All of this amazing customer service resulted in my being able to progress on my journey before the holiday weekend began, but most importantly, very well may have prevented a terrible accident or worse. Our car had issues and died about 45 out of the area, in a smaller vintage town with no mechanic. Our tow guy recommended this place and we are glad he did! As soon as we arrived everyone immediately started to help us. They went right to work on our car to find out what the problem was. Finding the issue, the very nice secretary found the part within a few minutes, and they ordered it for us even though closing soon. They had a wonderful waiting area with a tv and a kids corner, so we were very comfortable. They were able to replace the part and get the car back on its feet (about half hour after closing time too, they were so kind) and set us off! They had great attitudes and were very helpful. If your a local or a traveler on I-5, Point S-Creswell will always treat you right. I have been a customer for over 20 years. The employees are very knowledgeable and extra friendly. They actually know the meaning of customer service. I have everything from oil changes to alignments to questions about price of tires. I can been a nuisance at times with costs for different things to be done, but never once have I received attitude and always end up coming back. I stopped to help a couple that had blown a tire getting off the Creswell exit, they did not have what they needed to change the tire. I guided them to Point S which was closing time, but Point S was glad to help and get them on their way. Tire Factory saved our Seattle-to-Los Angeles road trip and probably saved our car engine from serious harm. During our road trip through Oregon, our car engine suddenly started making a loud, persistent, troubling noise. We pulled our VW wagon into Tire Factory of Creswell on a weeknight, 30 minutes before the shop closed, for help. Despite being so near to closing time, the Tire Factory crew quickly diagnosed the problem -- an exhaust leak from a broken pipe. Although they didn't have the necessary part on hand to fix it, the Tire Factory crew created a patch strong enough so the vehicle could be driven to the nearest dealership for service the following morning. Honest, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I have done my own engine work to save money. I am a student of Haynes and Chilton's self-learning do-it yourself for more decades than I want to admit. Good fortune now allows me to use my time in other was but, this still makes me a 'trust but verify' type of customer when it comes to auto service. I have been a customer for more than 5 years and I trust this place to give me an accurate assessment and a fair price. I do not write much but, this place has self-compelled me to give them another review after another very positive exchange last week. I had concerns about my front steering and suspension. Another great experience with the Creswell Point S team! I showed up today to look at tire options for my RAM truck. Tanner was quick and pointed me right to the tires I had already researched and wanted. I walked in at 5:05 and he said they would get right on it. By 5:30 I had my nice new tires on my truck. I have yet to be anything but thrilled with the service or the products I have received over the years. I trust them to do all the work my teen needs for her car also. This business saved our road trip today! We had a flat blown out tire on our 27' trailer heading south on I-5. Thankfully we were able to inch our way to the Creswell exit. Right off I-5 we see Point S and drove in. A woman with a smile greeted us immediately in the parking lot. They had plenty of tires in stock to replace the blow out. By the time I paid (a great price) in the office, two guys had almost finished the job. We were back on the road in 10-15 minutes despite their full waiting room. So impressed! I was passing through Creswell on I-5 on my way back to Seattle when my VW R32 broke down. The belt and pulley that regulates the coolant system broke. By luck I made my way to Point S and they were able to diagnose the problem, order the parts, and replace the belt and pulley in a very short time. Dismount and remounting tires is the best price in the Cottage Grove, Creswell, Eugene area. Hands down cleanest restroom when it comes to small business auto shops that I've been to. There is also a baby changing table which is almost never seen in a small business auto shops. Fully stocked as well. Coffee,hot chocolate, tea available as well! Amazing customer service. My daughters car need an alternator on a Friday night and by 3 pm Saturday it was repaired and home. Earl was so helpful and really helped us out. Just got my oil changed here and had amazing customer service. I like that unlike other places that do oil changes and try to upsell you on every little thing, this place just does what you ask for. They are the best tire store around. Brought my van in for a front end alignment it end up being a tire issues they rotate the tire free of charge and they even put on valve stem caps on my tire with out even ask. Definitely the place to go for tires always great service and great prices read more
