I believe this shop is owned by a old Korean couple in any time I asked for a topping they paused to sigh or look at me as if I was asking for too much or costing them money, but that is what I paid for also I got a small bowl and the menu listed $16 but I was charged $19 and something cents and she immediately ended the transaction and did not give me a receipt which I thought was suspicious because I thought that was a little more expensive than tax should be it feels like she was annoyed how much toppings I asked for and charged me extra secretly so make sure you get a receipt. I almost felt bad for the old Korean couple. They were moving slow, but they were not nice so I don't think I will be coming back or supporting them anymore. read more

I've been coming here for about the past year, about 3-4 times a month. The food was and is great. Over the past year, I've probably spent just under $1000 with them. The problem is the customer service seems tone deaf. Seriously, if you don't want to offer wasabi along with a small cup to mix with soy sauce, don't offer them. It takes 3-4 requests to get a serving of wasabi in a small cup (which are displayed next to the wasabi) rather than placed inside the bowl - who does that? I hate to give this one up as an options, but I've had enough. I hope giving up $1000 in revenue was worth the $1 worth of small cups you saved. read more

The food is solid, but the customer service is awful. What makes it worse is that it's the owners who are the ones that handle the front of house, and they're the rude ones. This used to be a regular place to visit with two special needs individuals that I assist. However, the owners never made us feel comfortable and welcome. Instead the owners were not polite and the last straw was the wife getting upset at me for asking for a receipt. I guess receipt paper is an expense the owners limit, despite the high cost of the poke bowls. The owners refusing to turn the air conditioner when it's warm is also questionable since they sell fish. Avoid the mistreatment and go somewhere else. read more

‼BE CAREFUL! wanted to try a new poke spot so I ordered through DoorDash. 1st it was missing my avocado I paid extra for & then I contacted DoorDash to resolve the issue. As I continued to eat my bowl there was a large sharp piece of plastic in the crabmeat that stabbed the inside of my mouth and I had to spit out before I swallowed it from whatever I did get to eat... it was delicious but definitely an unfortunate safety hazard from this business... DoorDash refunded me my $ but when I called the business to inform them what happened so they can check if there's more they didn't answer... Delicious and so fresh. I ordered the tuna and it was so fresh with the perfect amount in my bowl. Will definitely make this my regular.

Although the prices have gone up over the years (about 17.50 for three scoops now), the toppings and salmon always taste delicious. Adding avocado to your bowl does not have an extra charge which is something you won't find at other poke spots. Always fast service and plenty of seats inside and outside the store. read more

Honestly I used to love this place and recommend it to everyone I know, but sadly I cannot anymore. The customer service here was never anything to rave about but it has just gotten so passive aggressive and rude in recent years that it keeps me from returning. If this is how they treat a regular customer who constantly refers them business then I doubt it's much better for anyone else. Prices also are outrageously high and portion sizes don't reflect the price. It's such a shame too because the food is still really good. Still fairly new to the area I had a hankerin' for pòke. This is the closest location to me and after 7 loads of laundry I needed a decent lunch while I HBOMax and fold. Parking was easy peasy, I got a spot right up front. I walked in and there was one other person waiting and the lady came back from behind a curtain to help them out. Next, my turn thanks. I ordered a: Medium (3 scoops) all salad base, krab, seaweed salad, avocado, edamame, pineapple, salmon, shrimp, tuna. Sauces were ponzu, sesame oil and lite spicy mayo, topped with furikake, crisp garlic and onion. I wish I had taken a picture before because now it's just an empty bowl. For under $18 I'd say it was a decent sized lunch for the price. I'll definitely come back to scratch that itch. read more

Wow. This place is just wow. First of all the young man that helped me was so polite! He was really friendly and inviting! He was amazing but the real highlight of course is the Poke. I've had my fair share of poke places, even Ono's in Hawaii! While nothing can beat Ono's in my mind, this comes pretty dang close! For $21 (plus tax of course) you can get a poke bowl bigger than your head. I'm serious I have a humongous head and it can fit in this thing. If you check in you'll get a free cup of miso soup too!! The one thing that I didn't expect though is they don't mix the fish with the sauce. They put the fish directly in the bowl and put sauce on top. I'm not used to it but it's no biggie! The fish is also not fishy at all! For reference I came in thirty minutes before closing and everything still tastes fresh as can be!!! I'm not much of a poke person, maybe had it 2 times? and not enjoying those raw fish morsels with whatever sauce it was mixed in when I tried it. That being said, I do love sushi and been craving some kind of raw fish recently. But the Yelp reviews of + or - had me really intrigued as well as scared to try. Drove by multiple times, making excuses like it's close to closing time don't want leftover fish. Or how do I order these things, so many choices. What if the tall young guy is there that everyone is unhappy about? Do I still try it? Finally got a chance 2 weeks ago and was still hesitant since it was close to 7:30pm and wasn't sure if ingredients would be fresh. Pulled up to parking and saw maybe 2 tables outside eating the poke, so it reduced my alert level from red to orange. Saw someone walking out with food and further reduced from orange to yellow. Entered and it was just the older gentleman slowly restocking the rice and felt safe to level green. But then seeing the spread of all the ingredients and all the steps on the menu had me a bit worried and back up to yellow. Went ahead with 2 large bowls ($15 for large I think) to maximize trying the fish varieties between me and wife. Wow the large bowl or rather deep plate gets a LOT of rice! I can't eat that much rice, but had to get large to get the 5 small scoops of fish. Not even sure what I picked on the 1st station with veggies and salads. Avocado, onions, cilantro, corn, edamame, seaweed, etc. Before going to the 2nd station, a lady from the back came out to reload the salmon in the station. So fish was still being refreshed 30 mins to an hour before closing time, so I felt much better, level back down to green. The 2nd station was the raw section with the tuna, salmon, scallop, albacore, spicy tuna, shrimp, etc (maybe there was octopus too, not sure). Think I put in the first 5 on my list since they seemed to be safe choices. Then adding the sauces and rest of the available additions. Of course, no idea what sauce to add (like I said I'm no poke expert), but can't go wrong with Ponzu right? Said ponzu and gentleman drizzle it over the bowl. Then he held up the next sauce I assume eel sauce maybe, why not, go ahead. Then he put spicy mayo and I was worried maybe it'll be spicy, but he said not too spicy. I figured the ponzu and eel sauces would make things too salty so stopped there. Add the wasabi, furikake, garlic chips that everyone seems to like on reviews and called it a meal, He put a lot of wasabi on there, but too late to say that's too much! Paid with CC and left with heavy bag of 2 large orders. And another customer had walked in by then and she knew what she was ordering. Seems like the store has a nice number of local/regulars who seem to come to get dinners, so it was a good sign. As far as service, the gentleman did not say much and I guess moved kind of slow but part of that is my fault for not knowing what I wanted as well. So I didn't have any problem with the service (maybe got lucky with no young guy? or since can't mess up when I am there ordering?). Onto the food. Surprisingly delightful, even though I probably made a strange combo of ingredients! The sauces I thought was too much was not overpowering at all, in fact next time I would want more of the sauces all over to eat with all the rice, lol. Fish qualities were fine and fresh, it's not like eating sushi but with the sauces and ingredients providing different flavors in every bite, it was actually quite refreshing! And the dollop of wasabi I was worried about having to throw away, it wasn't the usual blow up my sinus type of wasabi. Very mild, I could just add decent pinches of it to my bites to add more flavor, without the nose burns, wow! I think it's a great bowl to have when craving some raw fish, but not ready to go all out and get sushi. This is quick and fresh and satisfying for when you want to grab a quick fish bite. I would grab this again when I feel like having the raw fish/rice since all the additional ingredients just makes for a delish meal. Not sure how to rate the food, I guess a 4? 4.5? Not a poke person, so not sure how good other places are, but this seems plenty satisfying to me. The tastes actually was a surprise, was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, lol. If on the fence like I was, give it a try. Definitely better than what I was expecting. Wife loved it. I didn't get to taste the scallops but she said those were good too. Maybe next time I'll get half rice/half salad, although I did end up eating most of the rice since things were tasty. More ponzu sauce maybe I would have finished all the rice, lol. read more

Used to come here all the time because it was the best poke in the area however they have been declining and I've slowly stopped coming here. Today was my last attempt to give them another shot. The lady owner is constantly rude and not accommodating to special requests. Today I went in and there was the weirdest smell which I decided to ignore. I was reluctant to post a review because I understand how these affect a business. After a careful and thoughtful process I came to this location and had a horrible experience with who I came to find out was the owner of the Poke Parlor. This was my second time at a poke bar and I took in my note on what I got and what I like from the first time I went. Now inside, I was greeted by the owner who was in the middle of bringing back the rice pots from the back kitchen to the front. He asked how he could help and after I asked for a menu he met let me know everything was al la carte and on the menu board behind him & not premade bowls like I had thought. I proceeded to order my base and veggies & Once we got to the protein section I ordered my meats and I saw him put the meat directly on to the bowl. To which I didn't think was a big deal but I asked him if they don't sauté the meat in season like my prior experience. Right away he answered and said you didn't ask for that. I was a little thrown back but I told him it was my second time and I was okay if he took the meat off and just seasoned it and sautéed it. He must of not like that and put down the bowl and said look, "here! if you want something you ask for it" and he repeated a statement here we are equal. I said that's fine but his menu didn't even have an option to sauté the protein so how would we know to ask and let alone me who was new to Poke. This set him off even more and proceeded to ask me if I was in the army because just like him in the army we are equal. I thought the comment again was out of touch but I told him hey man I just want my food and helping a new customer shouldn't be so complicated. He then got really angry and said why is it so F@#Ken hard to understand you need to ask. I said I did and now you're cursing at me and he said i already said sorry do you want me to get down and bow to you and ask for forgiveness. I was so flustered and I pulled out 17 bucks and said look man I don't want anything from your business anymore but here for all your trouble and went to put it in the tip jar. When I get to the Tip jar to put the money he rips the Jar off the table and says no it's fine I don't want your money. I left it on the counter and he tried to chase me out and put the money in my back pocket. I stopped him and said do not touch me and proceeded to leave. My first time visiting here as it was near my customer. I love how they have 2, 3, and 5 scoop options. For base, they have white rice, brown rice, salad, and half half. I like how their salad mix included spinach and arugula. For fish, I got two scoops of salmon and one of octopus. The salmon seemed fresh! For the sides, I especially liked how avocado, seaweed salad, and crab meat was all included - not extra! They also had edamame which is a favorite topping of mine. For sauces, they probably has 8-9 different kinds. I liked how they had a wasabi eel sauce so I got that, with spicy Mayo, and some ponzu. Delish! They also had 4 kinds of crunchies - fried onion, garlic, and two others. They had a fridge with bottled waters, Gatorade, coconut water, soft drinks, tea, and juices. This place has been declining more and more over the years but what brought me back WAS the quality of the Poke here. Not anymore! I previously paid premium pricing because of the quality but now there's no quality no service and the price just continues to skyrocket. Today I ate my norm (Medium Bowl and the CrabSalad was OLD, the octopus was over cooked (making it extremely hard like cardboard) and I paid highest price of all time. The ambiance is horrible as I know they are very well aware they are in the wrong. Save your money and have some Chinese food from next door, since you won't even get your loyalty discount. Such cheap poke for great quality! Honestly hits the spot for a good healthy yet comforting meal with some miso soup! Most places ask you to pay extra for toppings such as avocado but they don't so I love using that money to tip them. I highly recommend either getting their ponzu sauce or their spicy mayo. Always terrible customer service. Food is always good, however, but I can find good poke for the same price somewhere else. The older man and lady who are always there (I assume would be the owners) seem to always be short and give every customer a stern attitude. I've always been given small portions, half scoops of avocado, etc. When asking for my salad and fish mixed, I immediately hear a grunting sigh before they do it or sometimes even a blatant "no!" It seems I'm being inconvenient when I'm asking for a fork and a pack of soy sauce once I get my order. I can ignore a lot of things, but at this point, I'd rather get poke from somewhere else.
