I really like this poke spot. Its basically a build your own bowl poke box. You choose youre size of box s,m,l. (White rice, brown rice or salad) All ranging at pretty decent prices considering that the fish is always fresh here (no zombie ahi!). They also mix the flavoring of your choice right in front of you, so awesome. Then you get one topping & 1-2 sides depending on what size box you choose. I normally don't write reviews but I felt compelled to do so today. My husband and I have been religiously supporting their efforts, at least once a week, spending $20+ on each occasion, since their opening. We love the flavors and choice of protein, however portions seems to get smaller each time we come, and their prices have increased. But what really shocked us is when they started to count the pieces of protein. They couldn't give just one extra piece of scallop after it was already placed in the mixing bowl. Third time here. The prior reviews are consistent on freshness, variety and I'd say also quantity. A definite go-to location. I do recommend getting the medium size bowl (approx $10) and having a mix (i.e., brown rice and salad) and going with the ahi and salmon as your two choices. The wasabi and spicy soy sauces are two of my favorites for the fish. There are also many sides and toppings to pick based on your taste. I originally was never a fan of fish couldn't stand the smell or texture while eating it. I discovered this cute little food store from my co worker so sticking to my new year resolution I wanted to try something new. I'm so glad I did now I've been eating here everyday on my lunch breaks. Not only is the food good but customizable from which side you like to the sauce and at a pretty good price because if you were to get a small they fill it up so you do get your money's worth. The customer service is awesome, very welcoming. If you yourself have the same reasons I did about the fishy taste & texture then you should definitely try this out because their sauces cover it up really well. This place is tucked away in the corner in the food court near aja. The concept is very fresh and creative. It's a little bit pricey but you get a lot for what you pay. First you select the base: rice or salad. Then the basics basics onion cucumber avocado Etc. Then you pick your poke and sauce. Lastly you select your toppings. The small serving comes out to just under $10 including tax but everything in the food court is at least $10. I will definitely go back because it's healthy if you pick the right ingredients. This place amazing!!! I drive all the way from Aiea to Ala Moana mall just to eat here. Imagine a subway/chipotle for poke..a chipotke. I usually go with the medium size and I can get half salad and half rice. Then you have your poke sauce base and I'm telling you, the creamy sesame sauce is so good. The only bad thing about this place is that you can only get 1 dry topping and 2 other toppings for your poke, anything extra they charge I guess. Excellent food, tasted really fresh. I am a huge fan of Poké and this place is fantastic. A thing to note that threw me off for a second. You choose your size, then your rice and protein, then your sauce, mix ins and then topping. It was a great way to taste different combinations of poké. Ordered small poke bowl with salad - ahi with spicy shoyu. Liked the flavor even though not distributed throughout ingredients well. Portion kind of small for the price. Reason for subtracting stars is because of service. We got all the way to the end of assembly line and simply asked for a small amount of nori and furikake mixed. In other words split the normal portion of one topping between two toppings. Wish I took a picture of my poke before I ate it! I got the small size, which for me was a pretty good sized portion. One scoop of rice, a serving of poke and toppings/sides! I went with the mild spicy sauce, because spicy ahi is my usual go to. It was not too spicy, which is good for me because I can't handle a lot of heat. I like the assortment of toppings and sides that you can choose to go with your poke. I think that's a very unique part of this experience! Also, that they mix your poke based on the fish/shrimp/tofu that you select and the sauce of your choice. There are endless options! They do go a little heavy on the sauce though, so just be aware if you usually don't like your poke soaked in sauce. I think I'll get shoyu next time. :) The line was pretty long when I arrive (went past the door) but it moves fairly quickly. read more

I've been here twice since they opened. Today was my third time. First off they are getting more STINGY with the sides. Although I said I'd pay extra they still gave such a small amount. The ahi was not properly cut. It looked like the ahi was chopped up in a hurry. I got huge mangled pieces which was not easy to eat. Fantastic, especially for a mall food court. Had Ahi and Salmon and both were fresh. Crab salad was great. There are a lot of add-on options. Price is not cheap but reasonable for what you get.
