Well I was craving poke so thought I'd try out this place that wasn't too far! It was really delicious. The medium allowed 3 options so I got albacore, tuna and salmon. You get up to 7 extra toppings. I wasn't happy that seaweed salad was $1.50 extra but I love it too much not to get. I thought the portion size overall was good for the price. This restaurant is located in a relatively new outdoor shopping center in North Hollywood below the Regal Movie Theatre. Parking is located across the street in the center's huge pay parking structure. I visited this Poke Bar with two others for the first time about 30 minutes before closing. The employees were welcoming, helpful and friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely visit again. read more

This is the place to go if you're craving some good ol' fresh poke! Price is fair for what you get in your poke bowls, unlike other locations that I've been to. I Got a small bowl for about 15 dollars that includes 2 proteins. It's actually a lot of food for $15. You get a base and 2 proteins, and it fills up the entire plate. I struggled to finish the plate. I almost gave up, but I'm no quitter! I got white rice with shrimp and tuna and some good sides of pineapple, cucumbers, eel sauce, and spicy mayo, and it all blended great together. This spot is located below the Regal Theater in the NoHo Plaza area. Plenty of parking and plenty of stores open to keep you in the area for a bit. A lot of sitting space to just sit and enjoy your bowl. I quickly have become a new fan. Can't wait for my next poke run! read more

Went to this poke place and it was the worst experience. Most of the staff that works at the NoHo West location are very unmotivated to work. They don't know how to follow customers to go orders. Poor customer service with an attitude rushing you what to order. Would not recommend to go if you want to have a bad day and have the owner tell you that you have the wrong location. read more

Rude employees, rushed my order. I thought, I can only get 1 mix in since she rush to asked me what sauce I wanted. So sadly I juts got cucumbers. Had 3 bowls, two of them were put in the bag and charge and handle to me before the 3rd one was made. My husband wanted soup, had to be charge separately. That's how rushed we were. I'm a sucker for all things Poke and finding a spot that has quality fish, great portions and a variety of items to choose from can be difficult! If there's one thing that's very important to me it's consistency. I have been here an additional 2 times since my review 10 days ago and I LOVE! For sure one of my favorite poke spots here in LA and I actually crave poke bar @noho west. The service is always so nice and welcoming. The food is delicious, the fish is very fresh (and a great selection of fish to choose from), and portions are perfect. I had a poke bowl yesterday, half salmon and half spicy tuna . I ate it outside on the tables. At first I thought everything was fine until a few hours later I had severe pain in my stomach. I called the store and spoke to owner, and all he did was deny that any of problems were his. No apology and nothing, I ended throwing up the food and going to the hospital. Ordered through DoorDash, I got the BYOB poke bowl with spicy tuna and tuna. The rice was dry- definitely not fresh, the spicy tuna had a weird bitter taste like it came out of a can- also definitely not fresh, the rest was okay, cucumbers being the best part. I don't know if it was an off day or what, wouldn't eat here again, I couldn't eat more than 1/3 of my bowl hoping I don't feel sick after this. read more

This was my second time ever having Poké. I always see people get tuna but never tried it. There was a young lady and a young man behind the counter. I wish I would've remembered their names because they were wonderful. I explained I was new to poke and they were so helpful. I told her the above and she let me taste the tuna. I'm glad I did. I'm a poke lover and have tryd this location a couple times before and I liked it , had a bowl here today and immediately after started feeling stomach cramps , they worsened and then I got a fever , I also threw up , called to notify them I wanted to leave a report and all the manager said was , that it could definitely not have been because of their bowl , even though that was all I had that day ignorant to what I was saying and dismissive , he even said " aww well I hope to see you soon " after he did nothing for me , anyways very disappointing read more

Everything in the area is good and well-maintained. It's clean, organized, and generally pleasant to be in. However, the behavior of most of the workers is disappointing. Many of them come across as unfriendly, strange, and at times even aggressive, which makes the customer service feel almost nonexistent. Despite that, there is one worker I've noticed--usually on Fridays--who stands out in a very positive way. He is always polite, helpful, and genuinely kind, and he makes the whole experience much better. I don't remember his name, but he's truly the best part of the customer service there. We recently visited Poke Bar and I was pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed the variety of base that they offer. The kale noodle looked like an appetizing option, but decided with their brown rice. It was very fluffy and enjoyable! Their fish is also pretty fresh. For coming in late at night with a few minutes before they close, their salmon was really good. Their servings are also very generous compared to other poke places, which is a great plus! Their spicy tuna is on the spicy side (had us asking for cups of water). The side option was a bit of a struggle for me since I don't eat crab and don't really like the cucumber salad or seaweed salad. I ended up getting cucumber salad anyway. Toppings were straight forward and loved that they had crunch onions/garlic. Overall a great find. Will be adding Poke Bar to our rotation. read more

Ordered from this location on DoorDash -- did the MAKE MY OWN POKE BOWL. I love poke SO much and was starving hungry -- i also ordered the miso soup for $2. Immediately i saw that it was heavy so i was so excited. HOWEVER -- the reason why this is a ONE STAR and i wish i could give it ZERO is because i got the Large (4 scoops of protein) with 3 scoops salmon and 1 scoop Scallop... It smelled weirdly fishy so i was like hmm this is odd BUT it is raw seafood so obviously it's going to have a scent of fish.. however immediately after eating it i was on the toilet for 2 hours flushing it out. this is super dangerous for a poke restaurant that only has fish i would think they would be extra cautious. I then covered it up with a bunch of fresh veggie toppings like cucumber, green onions and jalapeños, added multiple sauces and topped it with their crispy onions. My combination was very delicious-- the fish tasted very fresh with spicy tuna standing out the most by taste and freshness. The veggies were ripe and yummy and the sauces made it so much better....I'm such a sauce guy, need sauce on everything. And finally, I absolutely loved the taste of their crispy onions. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, sweet and soft on the inside and they were just so fresh ---this spot makes them in-house and they come to your bowl pretty much out of the deep fryer that you can see towards the back of this spot. What a nice touch, bravo! The place itself is spacious with around 10 tables for dining in. The customer service was solid and attentive. Good vibes out there and good food. I told my son to take photos of the place and he did. I ordered their large Poke with all the healthy meat & vegetables that you can think of. I chose white rice for my base and got :Ahi Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Tofu, Shrimp, Cucumber Salad, Avocado($0.50), Pickled Ginger, Green/Red onion, Corn ,and really fresh Cilantro garnished all around the large bowl. It came with 2 sauces. House sauce and Garlic Panzu sauce. One of the sauces had a little spice to it and it gave a good kick. Absolutely delicious! They have a lot of to go orders and the lady who helped my son was Karina. He said she was very sweet, kind, and helpful. Everything was balanced right. I am only sorry it's taken me so long to review this place. To me, no other poke place compares. I have tried other locations within the franchise but the flavors provided by the Valley Glen location are like no other. Everything tastes fresh and the options of toppings are plentiful and tasty. The staff are always kind and accommodating- even with a busy queue. Their rewards program is also amazing. Thanks for the good food and I look forward to eating many more bowls in the future.

Ended up going for dinner with the family and husband. They made us fill out a paper order since we were a group of 5. Our orders were filled by two different people, Kimberly (who messed up my brother's girlfriend's order and my mom's order) and Paola (who made sure to follow-up with my husband and I about our requests and informed us if they had items that were no longer available). We watched Kimberly put soba noodles into my mom's order even though she didn't ask for it and she denied it, even though she was clearly distracted chatting with a regular customer who was behind us. My mom kept asking and Kimberly was confident she didn't put the noodles in the order and rang the order up. My mom checked her bowl and there were noodles. Kimberly refused to give us the paper order since she had tossed it, but Paola was kind enough to redo the order. My brother's girlfriend had crossed off items from her original order, but Kimberley ended up ignoring her marks and also didn't inform her they had no more of a certain item that Paola had told my husband and I they ran out. She decided to keep her order since she didn't want to deal with Kimberly. Kimberley ended up requesting for the food order she messed up on back and she tossed it. We definitely ended up holding up the line because of the redo for one of the bowls and think that it would've been better if they just did our orders one by one verbally, so we could make sure our order was done right. Unsure if I will come back if Kimberly is still there cause I don't trust her taking my order and was glad Paola was the one that took my husband and I's order.
