Amazing spot! The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every roll we tried was delicious and packed with quality ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Definitely one of the best sushi experiences I've had in the area. I'll be coming back again!

Decent ayce spot in the valley. It's $43/person and just a flat fee, no added cost for premium menu items. The service is really good, they're on top of things. They fill your water when empty, you don't have to wait forever to get your food, etc. Decent amount of seating but not a ton. Casual spot. They have lots of appetizers, sushi, rolls, no rice rolls (instead of rice they fill them with imitation crab) and some premium items that have a limit of one order per person. The yellowtail here was the best out of all the fish, salmon next. The tuna wasn't great. But overall I wouldn't say the quality of fish is the best in town. Yellowtail is best but still overall just subpar. The best sushi rolls were the Yellowtail Delight, I Got Sea Roll, Ex Girlfriend Roll, and Baked Volcano Roll. The problem I had with most of the rolls was that they were way too creamy. I couldn't have some of the rolls bc they felt way too heavily mayo-ed. A positive is that they definitely don't over-rice their rolls which I appreciate, esp for an ayce place. As long as you stay away from the some of the rolls that are overly creamy, it's an ok meal. Not the best sushi quality you'll ever have, but good for ayce. And I like that they don't overdo it on the rice, they don't intentionally hold off on serving your food so you fill up, and the service is good. Just wish their rolls weren't so dang creamy!

    Just great!!

My go to place for AYCE sushi - and right in my backyard! I've driven by it for years, so for my birthday lunch we finally decided to walk in and give it a try. I'm really glad we did, because everything we ordered was delicious. The Volcano roll, Star Wars roll, and Hot Night roll were the standouts for us, but honestly it felt like every roll was great, so you can't go wrong. The vibe is relaxed and the place is small in a good way. It feels like the staff can keep an eye on everyone without hovering. Our waters never went empty, the food came out quickly, and anytime we needed something they were right there. It made the whole meal feel really easy and laid back. A small drawback is the parking lot. It's tiny and can get pretty cramped, but there's plenty of free street parking around the neighborhood if the lot is full. All in all, a fun and low key AYCE experience with great flavors and really friendly service. Next time I'm craving AYCE sushi, I'll be back!

A hole in the wall, but with a suprise of delicious sushi! When I walked in I was not sure of the quality of the food. The restaurant does not have any ambiance. However, it's very clean. Now was for the Sushi, absolutely delicious! With beautiful presentation.

My bf and I go here all the time without fail and opt for the AYCE. Parking is a hit or miss considering it's a tiny shared lot, but we've always found street parking if the lot is full. The food is consistently great and the service is friendly and quick. My go-to's are the shrimp tempura, baked mussels, salmon nigiri, and the Volcano roll. With the huge amounts of salmon sushi we order, the Volcano roll is the perfect balance since it's a no-rice roll. Pro tip: Ask for a side of their thinly sliced jalapeños and top your nigiri with it - the slight crunch and hint of spice takes it to the next level. For dessert and if available, you can request green tea ice cream as it's also included in the AYCE.

I said it better than the other?

    Yes!

    Is it still buffet?

They still do all you can eat. It's not a buffet though.

Are they not open for lunch anymore?

They are now- 2025 prices don't include a lunch price though.

    How much is AYCE?

As of January 2023 they open dinnertime only at $38 for AYCE.

    Is there outdoor dining?

    Unfortunately not, it's all indoor

Is the all you can eat option available still?

Yes, it is. If you don't finish all your sushi, they'll charge you. So make sure you do not to over order food.

Anybody know if they opened up indoor dining yet? Lots of places have started opening their doors so just wondering if there any updates.

Dine in is open from 4:30 and on, just got turned away for dine in lunch time

Have you reopened for AYCE sushi at lunch?

Nope! Showed up for dine in at 12 pm and was turned away. Dine in is only 4:30 and on.

    Is there indoor dining yet?

No, they won't open indoor dining until restaurants are allowed to be at 50% occupancy.

Are you open for dine in?

    Not yet

We can’t wait to open to see you all too!! But we are not sure yet if it is still safe to open or not.…

Yes.. they have a variety of no rice options

    They don't have Uni

Do they serve hot plated food such as tempura, beef teriyaki, gyoza?

    They sure do :-)

Is sashimi included on the AYCE?

Yes, everything is included. They just ask you not to waste the rice

Is this self seating or do they sit you down? Also, do you have to get the AYCE? Or can you just order a couple of rolls? Lastly do they come up to the table and take your order? Thank you.

They sit you. You don't have to get AYCE- they have a la carte too. They come to your table and…

They open at 12 and our ETA was 12:03 (12:10 bc of traffic). So we joined the wait-list at exactly 12. It said there was no wait and it is not typically busy at that time. Arrived 10m after opening and there were no seats available. We probably got seated around 12:40. While we waited we looked at the menu (had to ask twice for it). Outside of the building is nice and clean. There's an outside bench for cooler days, but one person should wait inside so they can call you once seats are ready. The ambience is hip and modern--bar seating. Probably about 25-30 seats. The staff are friendly and attentive. We asked some questions then ordered our handrolls . Server asked how we wanted the handrolls. Spicy or no spicy? Japanese paper, Korean paper, or soy? He recommended Korean paper for most of the rolls, soy paper for baked crab, and spicy for all. We got the 6 set $30, plus baked crab $7.50, spicy shrimp and snow crab $8.50. Then at the end we added the unagi $8.50. Handrolls came out two at a time. They were pretty good, though not amazing. Korean paper was light and crispy, but it would've been nice to try the Japanese paper. I don't remember the spicy shrimp and snow crab at all so they probably minced it :( Note: you could customize each roll based on type of paper, spicy or not. We weren't given that option probably for sake of efficiency. They have two individual bathrooms with community sink. Automatic faucet. Check out the cute mini hand towel (video) they provided at the table! All in all, glad to try this place but would not come back. I'm curious to try Kazu Nori to see how they compare.

Located on Ventura Boulevard, Sushi Tomoki is a small, intimate sushi restaurant with a clean, minimalist Japanese aesthetic and a relaxed atmosphere that lets the food take center stage. (The Infatuation) Since we were dining with our 22-month-old, we requested a table instead of sitting at the sushi bar, and the staff was very accommodating. They even prepared a customized tamago sushi roll for our little one, which he absolutely enjoyed. The omakase was thoughtfully paced, with each piece served one at a time so we could fully appreciate every bite. The fish was incredibly fresh, and every piece practically melted in our mouths. The attention to detail and quality of the ingredients really stood out. The only piece that wasn't my favorite was the sushi topped with mint. It simply wasn't my personal preference, though I'm sure those who enjoy mint with savory dishes would appreciate it. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. They made my sister's birthday even more special by singing Happy Birthday and surprising her with complimentary sherbet and four pieces of green tea mochi--a thoughtful touch that ended the evening on a high note. Overall, Sushi Tomoki delivered a memorable omakase experience with outstanding sushi, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We walked in at 6:40pm and got a nice welcome from Mediko. Without having a reservation, she sat us down immediately. Our server Meika approached us right away to take our order. We started off with a standard size of Garlic Edamame ($6.80), and then ordered few other cut rolls. Spicy Tuna Cut Roll--for 10 pieces ($14.80), Albacore Fried Onion Roll-- count of 12 for ($20.80), Zero Roll-- count of 12 for ($25.00), Rainbow Roll-- count of 12 for ($10.80). Everything was so LIGHT, FRESH and DELICIOUS!!! They also have hand rolls, and other types of cut rolls. They have street and metered parking. Before I forget, we ordered Crispy Rice Tuna that came in (2) pieces for (13.50). The minute I saw that, it made me laugh. Called our server and told her to take that back and remove it from the bill which she gladly did. I thought it was going to be an actual full course rolls. They also have dessert but we didn't order anything. Restaurant was very quaint, limited decor, very busy for Monday mid evening, and was very nice and clean. Total came out to be $95.70 including tax minus the tip. I'm sure they also have a bathroom, but we didn't end up using it. I will return, but not any time soon. They also don't have any Bento Box type of food. Very authentic place to go on a date, friends, family or even dine solo. They also have a Sushi Bar. Alcohol wise, only have beer, wine and sake along with 2 fridges full of cold drinks.. Thank you all very much!!

If you're someone who enjoys traditional, high-quality nigiri and sashimi, this probably won't be your go-to spot. Shiki is all about comfort sushi: big rolls loaded with imitation crab, creamy sauces, baked toppings, and bold flavors. It's rich, indulgent, and definitely on the heavier side. That said, when you're absolutely starving and just want something satisfying that hits the spot, Shiki delivers. The menu is huge with endless options, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Every time I've come here I've ended up ordering specialty rolls instead of actual sushi because that's really what this restaurant excels at. I also have to admit... baked rolls are one of my guilty pleasures. A lot of higher-end sushi restaurants don't even serve them because they're more of a comfort dish than traditional sushi, so Shiki scratches that itch perfectly. The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and quick, which always makes the experience better. Will I be back? Probably not anytime soon, simply because I usually crave a more traditional sushi experience. But compared to other restaurants in this style and price range, Shiki does an excellent job. If you're looking for filling, flavorful specialty rolls with great value, this is an easy 5-star spot.
