Tasteless bland spicy tuna. All I can say to myself is what a waste of money. I could've ordered something better from somewhere else.

Typically would live a BBQ mix plate, but did not want left overs. The burger was excellent I must say, it was large, had great flavor, I think it picked up some of the flavor from the other BBQ meats they cook. Lettuce, tomato, onions, a complete solid burger. Recommended. We also got a basic side salad, with a sesame dressing, it was good, decent side garden salad. We also got a couple orders of fries, which were a let down to me, over cooked and the flavor just was not there. I wish we would have save the $8 for the two orders of fries, which I think even if good was a bit high for French fries. They have a burger by itself, or a combo that comes with fries and a drink. If you just want fries, you order the burger and then the fry, no special deal, but as I said, I would skip the fries and get some spam musubi or Mac salad or anything else. They also have a thing of Jalapeños, garlic and onions you can get yourself, I really like them. They were very busy, staff seemed a little overwhelmed, but they did a good job and seemed nice enough. They have a small interior with tables and a couple outside in front under a thatched umbrella, good touch. The location is great, right on San Fernando and 2nd I believe, near the theater and all the shopping. Enjoy!

Came all the way from Koreatown, just for their plate of BBQ white meat chicken. Service is still top tier like always. The food is still amazing, and the chicken always has that nice char flavor, while still being juicy and delicious. Add a little bit of their hot sauce to give it a nice kick of spice! They never hold back on their portions! So be prepared to leave completely full or take some leftovers. The ambiance is nice and cozy. It's never too loud, and it always has a nice vibe. Parking is free but always a nightmare trying to find parking, especially since Ohana BBQ is sharing the plaza with a Sprouts and other establishments. So be prepared for that. But if you are around the area and are craving some Hawaiian/Korean BBQ, I highly recommend this spot. It won't let you down.

I ordered the Haleiwa plate (beef, chicken and ribs +$4) and it was not worth the extra change. The (4) ribs were a bit chewy, tons of pepper on the meat, almost a full box worth of rice and they give you baby scoops of mac salad, which did not taste fresh. Service was good. And the location is right in the middle of a shopping plaza so good luck with parking during the rush.

The only downer was the incredibly rude hostess. She spoke rudely to us upon arrival. And even more rudely upon our departure. She rudely chastised us saying that we weren't supposed to leave through the same door we entered the dining room through. We were amazed at her rudeness. She appeared to dislike her job. She would be the only reason we wouldn't come back. My wife and I spent a hundred and twenty five dollars there. Well worth the spend, even though she almost wrecked it. The drinks are amazing! At first sight, the place is decorated like a shipwreck-turned-tropical-turnto. Very nice. That's about as high a praise as I'll go. The drinks were average as Southern California tiki goes. The grog was not made with a grog mix. The rum barrel was tasty enough - though served in a hurricane glass. I'm no snob, but tiki is attention to detail. What I care about most is what I didn't get: great service. Staff are friendly.. when they notice you. Hey, I'm a regular at a different tiki bar. Priority service is a tangential bonus. Staff doesn't ignore newcomers for my sake. I wish it was the same here. 3/5 stars. I want it to be great. It's just good.

My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

My boyfriend and I were across the street at Fantasia watching a World Cup came, and after we were craving hand rolls, when he spotted Toro Sushi Poke House. We took a look at their menu which was displayed on the outside. The prices were really affordable, so we just had to try it, and were so glad we did because this was one of the most affordable and delicious nigiri and hand roll experiences we've had! The place itself is small and intimate. They have a bar area and few tables inside and a small outdoor seating as well. When we entered we were greeted by our friendly waiter, and seated immediately. It was pretty empty around 5 pm on a Friday, which was convenient because we didn't have to wait for a table. I'm not sure how packed this place normally gets, but it was also the long holiday weekend, so that might be why. We started off with the fatty tuna nigiri. For $6 you get two big pieces, which is so affordable, and the quality was amazing! We then each got the 6 piece hand roll set which came with a spicy tuna, scallop, yellow tail, crab, salmon, and toro. I'm not a fan of scallops, so I switched it out with a yellow tail roll. The fish was top quality and delicious. I cannot wait to come back here and stuff my face again!

The baked salmon and crab roll was excellent and much larger than I expected, which was definitely a pleasant surprise! The chicken udon was flavorful and generously packed with chicken. To top it all off, the takoyaki arrived fresh, hot, and perfectly prepared. Overall, the combination of outstanding service, fresh ingredients, and generous portions made for a wonderful dining experience.
