Tasteless bland spicy tuna. All I can say to myself is what a waste of money. I could've ordered something better from somewhere else.

Seating: The inside of the place is on the smaller side. There are a couple of tables inside and a lot of bar seating. They also have multiple tables set up outdoors. Just a heads up that the outdoor tables are set up on the street with a barricade separating you from traffic. Classic Salmon Poke Bowl: The base of the bowl is white rice with soy sauce. The ingredients include: salmon, masago, seaweed, imitation crab, green onion, furikake, fried onions, cucumber and ginger. It's a cute simple poke bowl. The rice was fluffy and the toppings were fresh. I enjoyed the bowl, however, I wished there was a bit more salmon or toppings because the rice was quite a lot. Build Your Own Poke Bowl: These are the following items I chose inside my bowl: - Base: half spring mix and white rice - Protein: salmon and yellowtail - Sauce: sweet ponzu - Toppings: mandarin slices, corn, cucumber, and edamame This was a lot better than the classic salmon poke bowl. I think it was because you get to pick your own sauce. PSA: There is no restroom inside the shop, however, if you ask the staff they will give you a code to a restroom located a short walk away.

The signature rolls (especially the rainbow and the terminator) are standouts, and the hand rolls are awesome too. They have delicious poke bowls where you can choose from a wide variety of fresh ingredients. The ramen is also extremely tasty. Definitely get an order of the jalapeño poppers! They're insanely good and I don't know where to find a dish quite like this anywhere else in LA. The sake selection is solid (I tried the sparkling sake yesterday and really loved), and prices are very reasonable for the quality. The space is comfortable whether you're sitting at the counter or at a table. There is a beautiful mural all along one wall. There is also patio seating available. The location is easy with convenient parking. Highly recommend. This place is doing everything right!

The salmon and tuna are not fresh at all. In fact they have the fishy smell that I didn't want to eat them. The octopus is slightly undercooked. The ponzu sauce was overly added, making the food too salty. Three stars for generous amount of protein and ingredients (toppings). But what's the point of giving generous amounts of food that's not eatable? I would not come back to this place again.

I told my son to take photos of the place and he did. I ordered their large Poke with all the healthy meat & vegetables that you can think of. I chose white rice for my base and got :Ahi Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Tofu, Shrimp, Cucumber Salad, Avocado($0.50), Pickled Ginger, Green/Red onion, Corn ,and really fresh Cilantro garnished all around the large bowl. It came with 2 sauces. House sauce and Garlic Panzu sauce. One of the sauces had a little spice to it and it gave a good kick. Absolutely delicious! The sauce I chose was ponzu sauce. I like the spice level of the spicy tuna. One side of the albacore was grilled which was surprising. It was $15.45 for the small bowl. The price seems reasonable. One employee asked if I'd like crab and seaweed salad. I said yeah. Crab is probably imitation crab. I like that the crab and seaweed salad are free. I don't think other poke bowl restaurants serve them for free. I like how the sauces and toppings are labeled on the display cases or glass. I didn't see the trash can so I asked an employee where I was supposed to place the tray and bowl. He said he could take it. Employees were kind. One employee said I'd be paying with cash since I had a $20 bill out. There are at least 4 tables inside. Music played through the speakers. Chairs were stools. A small plant was placed on each table. They seemed real. One table had 2 chairs on each side. Tables were grouped together. There are tables outside. Natural light filtered through the floor to ceiling windows. I could feel the AC inside.

Having spent $93.40, the quality of the yellowfin tuna is hardly high quality and the quantity of fish was about 1/3 the amount of regular poke places. Items ordered were the Classic Tura, Superfood Bowl, Spicy Tuna Bowl, Keto Bowl, and two different BYOB burrito - all barely had any flavour...can we say bland? Also, the bowls and burritos were filled with primarily the base ingredients (rice/cauliflower rice), sweet potatoes, kale and bean sprouts (depending upon the bowl selected). These items are not only inexpensive but fills up the bowl. If you call it a poke bowl, at least 50 percent of the bowl should be filled with poke and not filler. Otherwise, it would be called a rice bowl with poke! Street parking is difficult in this Burbank location and I was greeted with a hostile attitude even though I spent nearly $100.00. Both food and service is lacklustre.

One of my favorite things to get at Fish King is the plate with the swordfish skewers. This dish is honestly so unique, and I haven't found anything like it anywhere else. It's basically two shish-kebab style sticks of seasoned swordfish, peppers, and tomatoes, and it's served with a few sides in addition to fried veggies and shrimp. I also really enjoy their tacos. They also have very generous servings of poke (I personally don't get the poke from here because it's already mixed in with raw onions and I don't like raw onion). Prices are all very reasonable--the swordfish plate I mentioned earlier is around $15 and a pretty large amount of food. Fish King does get pretty busy especially around mealtimes so it's better to order in advance and pick up so that you don't have to wait around as long. I think if you order in person, you can expect a 20-30 min wait when it's busy. There's a small lot on the side of the market and sometimes you can find street parking too. There are some tables on both ends of the market so you can dine in, it's very casual.
