I used to work at a sushi restaurant and live in Hawaii so I know when something is off. I couldn't get the funky taste out of my mouth after brushing my teeth and using mouthwash and I told my friend I hope I don't get sick. Lo and behold I've had extreme diarrhea for the past two days now. The only downfall is it it seems a little pricey, $11 for a medium size bowl is a little bit high, I know fish is expensive but they only give little scoops, all the rest of the toppings are generally low price. I appreciate that this Poke Bar is in the shopping center it is in to provide alternative healthy options, I just wish it was a little bit cheaper to eat healthy. The employees are always friendly, they wear gloves and always handle all food properly. Delicious!! And so Much food!! Went here in a quick Friday lunch date. We ordered a small and a medium portion and wow do they load it up. There Hawaiian tuna was amazing and the ingredients were all very fresh. The only down side was that the wasabi paste was more a liquid and ran into the entire meal. This is our go to for Poke. The tuna is typically fresh and they are generous with topping's. Sadly this location is not in the best location so I'm not a fan of going there after dark. The restaurant itself is clean but the entry door has a broken handle on one side and no handle on the other side and generally looks messed up . It's been this way for well over a year. Everything was great about this restaurant. The service was super friendly and quick. The food is FRESH FRESH FRESH. All of it, from the greens to the fish. Just perfect. There are so many combinations of sides, fish and other toppings, and sauces that you will never run out of things to try. The price isn't cheap but completely worth it. There are also a couple of tables on the patio if you want to eat out doors. The best part of that is watching people go buy and ask each other "what the heck is that" when they see the place. Don't do it!!! Ever heard of scombroid poisoning? I hadn't until I ate here last week. Things went well until about 30 minutes after eating my lunch. When my heart started racing and my body started turning a bright shade of red, I went to the ER to get checked out. I've had ahi plenty of times and never had an adverse reaction, so I was super freaked out. The doctor told me I had scombroid poisoning, which happens when fish isn't stored at the right temperature. I've been to this location many times without issue. I thought this might be a one off case, but one of my coworkers just experienced the same thing yesterday! I can't wait to see the bill I get from the hospital! I'd love for Poke Bar to cover my expenses, but trying to get in touch with anyone about the issue is next to impossible. Tonight I ordered takeaway and got charged $32 for a large with 5 scoops. Never been charged that high. The employee didn't even mix my poke like they are supposed to do. I ordered the Large bowl half white rice half greens with 4 proteins which where ok not much to choose from then the base sauce (sesame seed oil) is just a couple of squirt then you add-on are far to few to choose from then again your topping sauce ( spicy Mayo and house sauce ) again just a couple little squirts from a vinegar type bottle. Final presentation was beautiful but over all dry lacking in flavor which you would get from your base sauce. read more

Everytime we eat here there is seating available and clean tables. The staff are nice and courteous. The service is just what you need from a build your own sushi bowl. Hands down the best poke I ever had. I've tried it off trucks in Hawaii, I've had it at sushi bars my favorite has been yard house poke stack but now... I got a large bowl with 2 scoops of albacore a scoop of spicy tuna and a scoop of Hawaiian poke. With white rice. I added everything they offered with the house dressing. What a flavorful delight. Spicy crunchy delicious mouthwatering perfection. I'll be coming back here often. I think next time I'll have the salmon, taco, albacore and shrimp I don't know, I wonder if I can order all of them.
