I had quite a disappointing experience here; you kind of play roulette to pray the worker gives you enough food. I got the make your own poke bowl and got half salmon half tuna and they were super super stingy with the fish portions. The bowl is market price (at least $13, they raised the prices too) for most places and yet they boldly give a few tiny pieces of each fish as a "poke bowl". Sure, there are unlimited toppings but the number of pieces of raw fish is more like a topping than actual serving. Additionally, I was pretty disappointed by the quality of the fish. The tuna has some tendons that make it a bit hard to chew, and the salmon is somewhat fresh but fails to meet my expectations. If they give just a few pieces, they better be ultra high quality. Also, where even is the presentation? The worker just carelessly scoop ingredients on top of the rice and just didn't care to arrange it as well as the other reviews. 4/20/21 I came here for lunch as I was near by and was craving a poke bowl. I had the create your own bowl version. I tried the various marinated spicy salmon, tuna, and thankfully they allow you to sample if you're unsure of their spice on their raw fish options. I had the Ponzo and their spicy aioli a.k.a. Yum Yum sauce as my sauces and I also had brown and white rice mixed as my base along with seaweed salad edamame cucumbers green onions. Also the masago and crispy onions as my toppings. The protein I went with was the spicy tuna and salmon. Everything tasted very good and fresh. A bit spicy for me on this concoction but I managed to scarf it down as I was starving. Stopped in for lunch with my sister. I've been to other Poke Bros and similar restaurants. For some reason it feels like it's an up charge for everything here (masago, seaweed salad, and crab stick - I'm used to paying extra for avocado). Then to add insult, they dropped the smallest amount of meat. The serving utensil advertised online is definitely not the same size as the one used in this restaurant. For $5 more you can add more - seriously! Just add a full serving size. Despite my frustration with the cost, the overall taste was good. Very good poke bowls with fresh ingredients. They have a variety of bowl options on the menu, but you can also completely customize with a base of rice or salad, protein of your choice (including raw fish or cooked options), many fresh toppings, and various sauces. I especially like the Sriracha Aioli and Wasabi Aioli sauces. But all of the sauces are good. This is a great place for lunch, even if you're in a hurry, as the staff does a great job of moving the orders along. I'll admit that poke isn't normally my thing. But my wife wanted to try this place and she loves it. And now I enjoy poke very much! Welcome to the neighborhood, Poke Bros! Franklin needed a poke place with healthy, fresh options and we finally got one! My favorite bowl is the high tide: Chicken, shrimp, edamame, carrots, pineapple (Not a fan so they remove that for me) green onion, avocado, corn, cucumber, and Sriracha aïoli. I always get it with half salad and half white rice. The warmth from the rice warms the bowl just a little so when you mix everything together it becomes a little piece of heaven! I always ask for extra aioli. It tastes like traditional yum-yum sauce only with a kick! I am not a fan of spice yet I love this stuff. You can order ahead online for pick up, order in the restaurant or get it delivered. I have used all methods and have received the same consistent food each time. Saw a few FB ads for this restaurant opening in Cool Springs and decided to try it! Glad we did! Ordered take out a few times already and does not disappoint. We've ordered the Da Kine and the Duke Bowl. Usually get half rice and salad - greatly appreciate the ability to customize for To Go orders. The fish in both is fresh and so are all the ingredients. There are several other options I'd recommend trying, other than this place. They are taking money from their customers and not delivering even a moderately acceptable bowl for the price point. Rice was warm (check). Kind customer service (check). But the portions of the fish...MADE ME ANGRY. The Duke poke bowl has shrimp, tuna and salmon. The nice server behind the counter carefully scooped what felt like 20% of the small scooper full of seafood into the bowl...shrimp...then salmon...then tuna. UGH. That's 60% of one small scoop combined. I wanted to add-on protein but I didn't want to pay the $3.00 extra because I wanted to experience the bowl as-is. My mistake. One thing needs to be clearly established before proceeding with this review: I hate raw fish. If I never had another serving of sushi or sashimi for the rest of my life - I'd be just fine with it! So why did I come here and give them 4 stars? The food was delicious - an apt descriptor, given by my dining companion was: every bite was "full of flavor!" In fact, the food rated 5 stars; it was the value which kept me from giving them 5 stars. But - quite possibly - the ingredients were quality, expensive items. I just felt that $35 for 2 people at an extremely casual restaurant (plastic bowls and flatware) was a bit high for lunch. Back to my opening sentence - we've been to Hawaii and although I didn't eat a any Poke bowls, I knew of them. We were looking for a healthy alternative for lunch and decided to give this place a try. All I could recall was that "fish" was involved in Poke. Think of this place as kind of a Hawaiian version of QDoba or Chipotle. Since I was new to this genre, I asked for the most popular combination; which turned out to be "The Duke." Little did I know that the fish and shrimp were raw. If I were to eat those bites of sashimi separately, I'd not have liked it. But when you take a fork full which has rice, seaweed (their version is incredible!), jalapeños, edamame, other vegetables, a piece of raw fish (or shrimp), and a few different sauces - it is a magical combination! One bit of advice: they don't offer any tap water; all drinks are bottled so if you want something liquid - you'll have to purchase it. read more
