I had half brown rice half salad as base, and put on most of the toppings with Ahi Tuna as the protein. Tried with the OG sauce, but frankly I can't really tell what the sauce is supposed to taste like because I only tasted what the raw ingredients. Perhaps will need to try a different sauce next time. Pineapple is canned. Corns also seem pretty bland as well. Onions were not very strong in flavor so might've been sitting out. Cashew topping was pretty limited and some had burnt parts so likely over roasted. But tuna seemed OK-ish in terms of freshness. No overt chewy parts. Came out to be around $13. They do give a decent quantity. And most of the ingredients are fresh enough. However, I think the iceberg lettuce was a let down, as I was anticipating a more exciting salad base. Although I understand that iceberg lettuce is the safest choice for most customers, boring but a safe bet. The seaweed salad is what you would expect, pretty sweet (a bit too sweet for me), and they gave a good amount for $6.50. Strange that it sit on top of iceberg lettuce again. Also the container is not suitable for it because the liquid comes right out and soaked our takeout paper bag significantly. A closed lid tub container would be more ideal. Overall, it's pretty mediocre, but you get a good amount of fresh-ish ingredients with very minimal flavors, but I can see how this appeals to a lot of working class people that just needs something healthy and not too exciting. read more

I should have gone to my "go to" place for Poke -- Poke Burrito in Deer Park. Poke Bros for me is a "one and done". I ordered their tuna bowl, my better half ordered a build your own. Price wasn't bad but portions were small. Most of the items on their menu do not allow for substitutions. Maybe "no subs" makes their "back of the house" operations simpler as they can follow a formula, but it is certainly NOT patron friendly.
