My fiancé and I came here after work today. I was absolutely starving after a busy shift and we were completely satisfied and full. The food is fresh, easy to order, and the workers were nice. The menu is listed with what options HAVE gluten (which isn't many; so lots of choose from if you are GF). Think of a Chipotle style poke bowl place. There are a ton of options to choose from. I ordered online and did the build your own bowl. Online ordering was easy and there were lots of options . When I walked in there was not a soul in the entire restaurant including a visible worker. If I hadn't already paid for my order I would've just walked out as it was my first time going there and there are plenty of other lunch options very nearby. It only took about a minute or less and a woman came out. She wasn't smiling and didn't greet me, she was pretty indifferent and didn't seem to want to work there, not overly rude or anything just very passive. She just asked "online order" and handed me a bag without asking my name so I must've been the only customer ordering , she did mumble "thank you " as I took my bag so there's that. We cross our fingers every time we go hoping to see him and not the other lady. This is my 4th time coming here to this location. I always order Da Kine and it never disappoints. The only disappointing part is the female server. She seems aloof - not friendly at all. We asked how she's doing and she had this look as if we asked her a weird question to which she replied, "Good, everyday is good." The guy, on the other hand is great; good at customer service. I am a delivery driver with Doordash and was picking up an order for a customer here and was greeted with a ridiculous sign that said delivery drivers could not use the bathroom, only customers. I was already on a long shift and really needed to use the bathroom but they wouldn't let me even though I'm doing a service that helps their business. I was forced to go use the bathroom across the street at Chik Fil A that was more than welcome to let me use it. Delivery drivers are people and hardworking people who do not deserve this kind of treatment. I will be boycotting this place and telling everyone I know to avoid it like the plague read more

My wife and I (both avid sushi-lovers) visited Poke Bros for the first time, and we were sorely disappointed. We both had salmon and tuna bowls, and it was obvious that both of the fish used were NOT fresh. We had two bowls, and it was nearly $50 for our lunch. For that price, one would at least expect fresher fish. We've visited dozens and dozens of Chicago-area sushi restaurants, but this was the first time we both walked away shaking our heads and thinking we truly just wasted our time and money. Our poke bowl preparer was also not the nicest nor patient. Someone needs to tell her that not all customers have been here before or know where to order--directional signage is small and useless. It was my first visit, it was my last visit. I found the Asian woman to be quite impatient and somewhat rude at my lack of complete understanding of all my options for putting together a bowl. She eventually just walked away and went into the back area behind the curtains. The younger man ended up finishing my order. He was much more polite and took some time to explain some of the options to me. He pointed out the that eggs were $.50 extra if I chose those. He neglected to tell me that many of the other toppings were $1 extra. In fact, as he put it, I could "have as much of the toppings as I wanted." I ended up choosing many of the extra cost items as he was not forthcoming about the pricing. You might think that he would point out that almost every topping I chose cost more money but silence ensued. What I ended up with was a $35 bill for two bowls. My wife was already seated and had begun eating hers so I was locked in. $35 for two people will get you a much better meal in many places. What I ate was NOT worth that money. I felt that I was taken advantage of. I most certainly will not be returning. The bowls at Mariano's are much better, have twice the amount of fish and only cost $20. What prompted my actual review here is that when I asked for a couple of cups of water, I was refused and told I must purchase the water! I just spent $35 and I can't get any water?
