Everything we tried was amazing. We had the sampler app and my favorite was the shrimp wonton beautifully crispy. For my main I had the pork belly and it was so crispy and juicy. Service was kind and fast. It is intimate/smaller inside but dim lighting and simple nice decor. read more

Something made my stomach sick. We had the chicken satay and the juices were pink on the chicken. It should run clear for chicken. I ordered a dish with flat broad noodles. I specifically picked that dish because on the menu it didn't have scrambled eggs. When I got it. Surprise ! Scrambled eggs. Also, my plate had chow mein noodles. The menu said only broad flat noodles. They charged $3.50 for a a small amount of extra peanut sauce. They said that sticky rice with mango was out of season. It was the first week of August. 11/15/25 - Cool new Thai restaurant less than 1 mile from where is live. Thai O'Clock is @ 4748 W Peterson about 2 doors east of Cicero Ave. I received a flyer in the mail. They have been in the neighborhood for about 2 months. The interior of Thai O'Click is very tastefully done w/vertical light tan strips w/a black background on the top & some red accents spread throughout the restaurant I came here w/my buddy for lunch & both ordered from the lunch menu. I ordered a dish w/basil vegetable w/green & red peppers, green beans, onions & a sprinkling of red peppers w/chicken added. I also added a chicken satay w/peanut sauce & white rice. My body ordered the same thing but he got 3 tiny pieces of shumai Our server & I think the owner too (sorry I forgot her name) was outstanding & super friendly. She came around on several occasions & asked if we needed anything else. I will probably be back when the desire for Thai food arises. This is a review for carry out. First, the positive: The food was ready quickly, the order was accurate, packed well, and hot. The online menu was easy to use. Bonus points for being able to sub mixed veggies for rice. The staff were lovely. We were so ready to like this place, but alas, we were not impressed with the food. The dishes were dry, with one note flavors. (Pad Thai and beef with peppers). Even the chicken satay was weirdly spiced and dry. Small thai restaurant with both seating and carry out options. Waitress was attentive and food was served very quickly. I had cucumber salad (tasty, not overly dressed) and pad thai with shrimp (tasty, enough for this meal and some leftover)! Prices were pretty average for thai food these days. This place is unfortunately declining rather than improving. when they first opened it seemed like they were going for a higher end thai experience with unique dishes. Now they are just a run of the mill thai joint out of numerous dishes. No hot duck each of the last few times there. Also no papaya salad. What thai restaurant runs out of papaya salad!? Last month we ordered takeout because we wanted to try the new ownership. The food was good but the portions were appalling. I understand everything is expensive and I support capitalism but man alive we are being priced out of our own city. Unfortunately we will not be spending any more of our discretionary funds in Chicago, though we'll happily do so in the suburbs. A second visit to this restaurant renewed our satisfaction. The Tom Yum soup was delicious with fresh shrimp and a slightly sour taste to the broth. We have both ordered and dined in many Thai restaurants in Chicago and the suburbs. This was the most expensive and by far the most disappointing! The portions came in the smallest rectangle containers at a cost of approximately twenty plus dollars for entrees. We have never tasted Thai food that had absolutely no taste. A follow-up call was made to the restaurant with no apology . With so many restaurants that are more affordable, Thai food that is delicious, do not waste your hard earned money on a complete disappointment! read more

We sampled and shared the pot stickers (delish), generous and tasty chicken satay (peanut sauce yummy) and a wonderfully spiced Thai Larb Chicken Salad. We tried some entrees that were a bit different from the typical Thai fare and they did not disappoint. Go ahead and try the Spicy Basil Crispy Pork Belly. It's unforgettable.
