Very clean, all the food is well organized and kept cold properly. They have a variety of options yet I've been to other poke places with more options, some are less. They've got good ones. Friendly helpful staff, they could wipe down the tables more frequently but it's generally clean. Definitely one of my favorite Poke places but a few improvements would make it perfect. I ordered a regular Poke Bowl and it had just the right ratio of greens to rice to fish to toppings. And the fish! I would eat a bowl of just the tuna and salmon. It is so fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the seaweed salad. I got my bowl with mixed salad greens. I did not like how they don't offer choices for salad dressings. Other poke places offer salad dressing as well as other options for sauces other than spicy. A lack of dressing causes the salad part to be pretty dry when eating the poke bowl. The Poke Cafe is interesting. The Northgate area isn't really known for its food and I had just finished a research shift in a nearby restaurant. I was exhausted while grabbing stationery supplies and the Poke Cafe was there. The menu is more Vietnamese than Hawaiian, which is a flag. For poke that is. I went for a banh mi to go. The baguette was soft and crunchy. The person at the counter asked if I wanted chilis and matched my request (a small amount). The rest of the fillings were a little sparse for a nearly $8 sandwich. They were open late, it was convenient. Maybe their poke is better, which would explain the name. read more

Just stopped in as we were shopping in the area as we saw Poke. One I f our favorites. We ordered a large bowl which to our surprise came with 3 large scoops of Salmon and tuna. Over greens and other veggies. It was excellent and a good value. We also ordered a Bahn Mi. Nice size, great bread and again generous pork and veggies. All for $6. The staff and manager were nice. But unfortunately the overall experience was unhealthy for us. 1. There was a long hair found in the food and the vegetable where not fresh. 2. The smoothies where too sweet to the point of cancelling any of the flavors. 3. The hand sanitizer was very very strongly scented, to the point of making me sick (headache, sore throat, itchiness). The smell stays even after 3 hand washes and putting hands in lemon. Such a hand sanitizer cannot be good for health. Poke management : If you're reading this, please remove that hand sanitizer. I am very happy with my order! I got the bulk spicy salmon poke and a side of brown rice. i took it home to use my own salad mix. I thought the poke sauce was nice and straightforward. It looked like a pretty small portion to me, as well, so I broke out a scale to see what we got for our three portions. 4.45 ounces of poke is what we got. The taste was passable, nothing special, but what will keep us from returning is the meager portion size. I was excited to try this place out. It is right by my gym, so I see it fairly often. I finally made it to dinner here with a friend before scooting over to a movie. I'd say overall it's pretty average. They have a wide variety of banh mi sandwiches, poke, ramen and boba. I had a banh mi sandwich and I' say it was just average. We decided to try this out while shopping on a Friday night at Target. The food was truly delicious. I had the spicy tuna and my daughter had half tuna/half salmon. We both loved the toppings (but we're very sad they were out of the fukake, a special,rice seasoning, which would have added a bit more zing to the bowls. My daughter said her bowl lacked a bit of sauce and flavor but perhaps because mine was the spicy version, I was pretty happy. You can have your bowls with brown rice, white rice, or greens. Service was fast and friendly and we enjoyed our meal al fresco. So why 4 and not 5 stars? Namely, the beverages and the bill. We thought we were ordering iced black tea but it turned out to be milk tea (something should've clicked for me when the lady asked me if we wanted boba in it...) and it was pretty undrinkable--very bitter. We both tossed ours out. The bill for 2 bowls, 2 teas, and 2 sides of avocado came to just over $30 (less tip) which, in my opinion, is a tad high for such a small amount of food in what is essentially a strip mall. But we'll go back, albeit without ordering drinks (& possibly avocado). read more

I feel bad giving this small business such a low rating but I have to be honest, I'm surprised this place is still in business. The only redeeming quality of the place is the super friendly young man, with questionable food handling skills, who was making the poke bowls. That being said, one of the things that mortified my experience from the start was the way they mixed the proteins with the sauce. My friend had ordered his proteins/sauce, and the guy reaches down below the counter and pulls out a completely DIRTY, SAUCY container that he proceeds to put the new proteins/sauce in to mix together. Like what the heck. At the bare minimum rinse out the container! As a customer, I don't know how long that dirty container sat out, or what had been previously mixed in there. Then after he mixed my friends, without rinsing it out, he uses the same container to mix mine. I'm still so disgusted. Overall, the place was extremely dirty looking, like the walls and the counters they're making the food on were filthy, and this is not something I'd trust from a place making my food, let alone raw fish... Not to mention for the portions, they're charging $15 for a large when the portions are tiny and the selections are minuscule, and the quality of the fish is low. I never not finish my poke bowls, but this one I felt so bad but I had to throw it away halfway through the bowl because I didn't want to force myself to eat the horrible salmon/tuna. Long story short, Just save yourself the money and bad experience and go to literally ANY OTHER poke place. read more

I walked by the restaurant and decided to go in, in hopes of grabbing a quick bite to eat while tuning in to a meeting I had. Before I even had anything to say, the female cashier looked at me like she was displeased I was there. I was kind and polite the entire time. Asked her how late they were open today, she curtly responded "8:00". I responded okay great, I asked because I'd like to work while enjoying my food". To which she said "you can't stay here a long time". I informed her my meeting is only 30 minutes, then her excuse was " oh that's fine but this isn't working" holding up the clover device that scans your card. So I asked "does this mean you're only accepting cash right now?" Her: "no, we accept card". Me: "(confused) ... okay, well is there free WiFi?" Her: "we don't have free wifi here." Me: "No problem, I will go somewhere else then." Highly doubt that was true based on her horrible attitude the entire time I spoke to her. Racism alive and well. It's our First time to try their Poke bowls! I'm so happy there's a poke cafe near us! Food was good and service was great the first time but the second time didn't have the best experience with the younger women who were in charge. I think they need to work on the meat portions they put in their bahn mi sandwiches. The pork BBQ meat inside the bahn mi tastes good but the portions were soooooo little. It's like bacon tidbits hopefully next time they give bigger portion of meat in their bahn mi.
