Got the large bowl. Omg... New Favorite Poké Spot in Hayward!
    Pheap S.

Been craving for a Poké bowl. So, now that I live in Hayward I'm in search for a spot. And I think I found my new Poké spot! All the proteins was fresh and the sauces yummy. And their Crab Salad is hella good! That's very important for me. They nailed it. And every bite was bomb! The 2 young gentlemen that worked there was fast, friendly, and actually greeted me right when I walked in. Love that.

Yummy !!! I got the basic spicy tuna and ahi tuna . So good I've been looking for a new spot and this may be the one . I get my moneys worth here opposed to the last few spots I've tried . Fresh fast and delish ! Great customer service and quick too :)

I come here at least once a month and am super bummed their prices went up but not shocked because I know that happens. The same guy is always working there when I come in and he is pretty knowledgeable and offers good suggestions. I enjoy the poke here. It is a great spot to grab a quick lunch. I have never had to wait too long. I got a small bowl with tuna and salmon + spicy crab. I think this place is solid option for a quick bite and to eat something fresh. No complaints here.

This used to be my go-to place when I'm craving poke, but unfortunately, the quality has gone down throughout the years. I ordered for pick up and decided to eat there since there were tables available. I ordered a large that's $18.95 which comes with 4 scoops of protein (salmon, ebi, spicy crab meat and tai) with half spring mix and white rice. The rice was extremely and it did not taste like sushi rice. The ingredients don't seem to be as fresh as it should be plus the price is a bit extreme for the quality that you get.

Update price as of Match 25, 2025.

The food is good. Service is fair. There aren't as many tables, but the cleanliness is there. Most people would buy Togo. Just want to update the pricing with this review. See attached photo.

After several visits to PokeDon in Hayward, it's high time to share our experience. The create-your-own Poké bowls offer a satisfying customization experience, which allows customers to tailor their meal to their liking. During our multiple visits, we've always enjoyed the service and our final selections. Although prices have increased slightly, this is understandable and noticeable everywhere these days. An important note... while the inner parking lot can be a bit tight, venturing a bit further to the adjacent parking lot would be a better option. Overall, the simplicity of the ordering process coupled with the quality and freshness of the ingredients, especially their proteins such as the salmon and tuna options, definitely makes PokeDon a reliable choice for a quick and flavorful meal.

When I first found out about poke, my friends and I would drive all the way from Hayward to San Ramon for Poke Don. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. But I think I got it so often I grew tired of it. Fast forward to this year when my friend suggested poke for dinner I was excited, not realizing there is a Poke Don in my area. It was like that one scene in Ratatouille where the critic tastes it and suddenly was brought back to a flashback. That's what happened to me. I can't wait to go here again because of the quality of the food/ingredients. But not only that, one of the employees was very friendly and happy to be open, especially during these pandemic times, so you can tell that his heart was for his business.

My 2 protein bowl with edamame, Tuna, shrimp, seaweed salad, cucumber, brown rice, and spicy tuna

TO-GO REVIEW ONLY: 3.5 Stars So sad that my favorite poke bowl, POKE ONE place closed down so i decided to try this spot as i was craving poke. PARKING: Plenty of parking in front PRICE:$13.23 ORDER: 2 Protein Bowl, Shrimp & Tuna + spicy tuna. TOPPINGS: Seaweed salad, cucumber, edamame, brown rice, spicy mayo, ponzu, house soy sauce OVERVIEW: I noticed right away their shrimp was the baby shrimp not the big shrimp where most place uses n honestly i dont like the baby small shrimp. I can definitely taste the difference. it almost taste fake to me. They had all the sauces but for some reason the overall taste it was a strong taste not the best i ever had for sure. Their spicy tuna is grind up into small pieces not sure why?!. These places r usually a hit or miss for me. Sometimes they r good and some places r okay only. Sorry but i wont be back unless i am in the area and craving poke.

It was a super hot day and I decided to stop by Poke Don to pick up some food after work. They have a good variety of proteins for you to choose - salmon, tuna, hamachi, scallops, Japanese scallops, etc. You pick your sauces and sides and they will mix it with the protein and throw it on top of your base. They also have a good amount of toppings, however, a lot of these will cost extra $$$. For avocado it is understandable, but I felt that charging a $1 extra for mango was a bit much. Overall, the food was pretty yummy! I love adding edamame, ginger, tobiko, seaweed salad, kimchi, mango, avocado, and fried onion to my bowl and they had all of those! Price was a bit high for a regular sized bowl - mine came out to be ~$17.

Two scoop option $14.99 Base half and half, Base protein imitation crab. Two scoops Albacore and tuna with a mix of fixings.

I usually love this place but this time around it wasn't it. The rice was hard and burnt. I had to toss my whole bowl out.

First off, they're very generous with their poke and topping scoops. The fish is fresh and the sauce combinations are very delicious. Just a heads up that avocado and seaweed salad are extra here, but they also give a free scoop of crab salad with every bowl, which is a great bonus. They're also super generous with the toppings overall (pineapple, mango, etc.). The staff is incredibly friendly and happy to let you try samples if you're deciding between options. Another great perk is their points/rewards system, so if you come often you can earn a free bowl. There's some indoor seating for about 12-15 people, and usually there's space, but it's also a great spot to grab takeout and enjoy at home. Highly recommend if you're craving a solid poke bowl in the area!

Our favorite poke place is in Dublin, which is kind of a long drive from our house. Poke House,…read morelocated in Fremont is closer, but not as good. Poke House is just ok, not great. The servers on our last trip were friendly and generous with toppings. I ordered a small bowl, which is two proteins. It was pretty big after they were done with it. The bowl includes krab salad (with a "k"). On this visit, they had mango, but it was a little unripe. They also had octopus, which was good. Not all poke places have octopus. At this location, they use canned corn. If you add corn to your bowl, the flavor of the fluid from the can overwhelms the salad. It would have been better if they used frozen corn instead of the canned. On this visit, the ahi was oversalted. They should teach the kitchen prep staff to sample the fish before sending it to the counter. A small bowl here is $16.49. Seaweed salad costs $2.25 more. For comparison, our favorite place in Dublin charges only $15.99 for a two protein bowl, and includes seaweed salad, miso soup and ice cream at no additional charge. There, mango is available on a regular basis. Meh, it was ok. Next time, we'll probably go to one of the other places nearby instead.

The location is a little hard to find. You have to go into the super small parking lot just after Snappy's cafe. Once parked, in the corner of the parking lot there's a set of doors and a circle on the wall that says hey boo coconuts for you. Then you know you got the right spot. I don't know their hours, check their instagram. I walked in, thought I was lost until I recognized the young lady taking orders. I got a pound of shoyu poke. I kept smelling the amazing chicken and noodles! I made him do a special order since I didn't preorder. He was super gracious and accommodated me. I told him it was his own fault for telling me to come through. The noodles were delicious, lots of veggies and the char siu was meaty, not greasy. The wings had a great garlic and soy flavor to it. The shoyu poke was perfect, it didn't feel like it was doused or overpowered by sauce on the ahi tuna that he used. Most definitely on my rotation since I'm always in the neighborhood.
