The waffles here are amazing! I've ordered the same classic waffle multiple times this week with bananas and strawberries with pecans and walnuts. That said, there have been a couple consistency issues since I've been coming. Earlier this week I was asked to come in to pick up my order about 45 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. I thought I would have at least received a discount or some offer of a complimentary small item but unfortunately nothing. I ordered again today and I received blueberries instead of bananas on a waffle I've ordered the same way this week as well. I love supporting Hayward small businesses but this store definitely needs to improve on accuracy and timing to make it a strong contender in the downtown Hayward area. I'd rate it a 3.5 to be accurate but will round up to a 4 because the owner seems very sweet. I think my waffle week run is over but I'll be back in the future one day and hope things get better as they grow! read more

Buyer beware overpriced and underwhelming very misleading I spent $40 on two drinks and an açaí bowl, hoping this would be my new go-to spot. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The hibiscus drink was watery with barely any ice more like flavored water than a refreshing beverage. The watermelon berry refresher (which cost $10!) had zero trace of watermelon or berry. It tasted like a powdery Kool-Aid or jello mix definitely not fresh. The açaí bowl had no flavor at all. I watched them make it: they tossed an açaí pack and frozen fruit straight into the bowl. No blending, no care, no taste. Everything was overly sweet and felt artificial. The bowl was mid at best, and the drinks were worse. Excellent açaí bowl - appreciate that the açaí base is not too sweet, and all the toppings were on point. Pricey at 15.75 though - more expensive than palmetto superfoods, for example. Smoothies - I wish it was more clear that these use sugar substitutes. I got a large smoothie and the flavor of whatever sweetener is in it was pretty overwhelming. I know some people prefer this over sugar, so not at all a knock, I just wish it was advertised that way - I wouldnt have ordered a smoothie if I knew it contained sugar substitutes. My first time here today 10/12/24. My order was peanut butter lover, super yummy. I can definitely taste the protein in the shake not like other places. I truly enjoyed every sip of my drink. Excellent healthy smoothies and love that they don't add sugar, but these smoothies are pricey! I spent about $30 on 2 smoothies with tip (the cups would've been a large at Jamba Juice). Blend It has super cute decor and a clean, welcoming space. Parking is available right infront (careful, Foothill is a busy street!) and at any of the public Downtown Hayward lots in the area. The woman working there helped explain a little bit about the smoothies and how they are meant to be meal replacement shakes. read more

I love that we have a protein smoothie place in Hayward! A much better option than Jamba Juice or other chain smoothie places. I believe it's a family owned business if I'm not mistaken. It's a cute hole in the wall that I'd definitely want to gate keep but it's hard not too! I've gone here 3 times already and I have nothing negative to say. What I really appreciate is that they let you know the macros on the item you're purchasing. The smoothies are made fast so if you are in a rush it's perfect! My favorite one so far is the spinach strawberry banana smoothie! The banana is definitely not overpowering like typical smoothie places tend to make it. As well as whatever protein powder they use is so good, not gritty at all. I really like the acai bowls from here! They taste super fresh and really hit the spot when I crave fruit. I also like that they do not skimp! I always get a tonnn of fruits and acai. Unfortunately, their hours don't work well for me. I always forget they close early on the weekends which is usually when I'm able to stop by, so I have to make the drive to Vitality Bowls instead whenever that happens. I love acai bowls so I decided to try this place out. As another review states the acai bowls here are pretty expensive priced at almost $16, so my expectations were high. I was really disappointed. I watched my bowl be made and it's just frozen fruit they keep in a Tupperware and they just cut up one strawberry and one small piece of banana really finely to make it look like a lot of fruit. The base was flavorless I tasted no acai and it had chunks of ice. They're charging for the aesthetics, but don't even bother with this place.
