My son wanted poke this afternoon. And since we were in the area we decided to try Lulu Poke. While the staff was pleasant and the food was fresh. Portions were plentiful. I was disappointed to get home and find the bowl super dry. Now mind you I ordered two regular bowls. And both were extremely dry. If I'm ever in the area and want poke I'll be sure to ask for extra sauce in the bowl and to go. If we weren't pressed for time we would have eaten there. The games were an added bonus. The fish is usually fresh here and the bowl packed. I like that kelp is a side option, not all places offer kelp. It is otherwise your typical poke joint. Very pricey, but I think that's typical too these days! They also sell ice cream in cooler that's across from counter and they have a couple of board games or anyone dining in. Amazing poke spot!! My husband and I stopped here for the first time on Valentine's Day to grab a late lunch. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They let us try a piece of the kelp salad since we've never had that before. Portion sizes were GENEROUS!! After I got the receipt back, I saw that there was still $2.98, I asked if this would be refunded and they said the full amount would be refunded. They did not refund the tip. Tried this place on a whim this afternoon and it was delicious! At first glance I thought the prices were a bit steep, but they didn't charge extra for seaweed salad and crab salad like most other poke places do, so I felt like it made up for some of the pricing. One of my favorite Poke Spots here in the bay. It seems very fast-food-y since it's in a shopping complex but the quality for the price is really good! It's not as good as Poke from Hawaii, but if I'm craving Poke here, I would definitely go for Lulu Poke. The bowl sizes are very generous and compared to other Poke places that I have tried in the Bay, this is the best ones! Staff is also very friendly and ask you if you need more toppings. Not sure about the other franchises, but the one in Union City has top tier! Lulu has been a consistent place for me since I moved to the east bay. They're so close to my job and gym. The staff has been rotating, but I think the ones they have now are pretty good. I also like the choice of music when picking up my order. The food is good and the portion size is actually really good. The price is a little steeper than those around, but at least the food is consistent. That's all you can ask for. read more

I've been going to Lulu for the last two years, however today's poke bowl was absolutely inedible. I went on Wednesday, January 3rd, at about 7:00pm, two boys working. I ordered two bowls and while watching them make the bowl, all looked well, until I opened a bowl at home. There was so much sauce that my bowl looked like soup. These photos were taken after I attempted to drain all the excess sauce out of my bowl. The rice had become so soggy and inedible. Hello Sir, The sentiments I shared in 2021 were pretty descriptive and I don't think I left any room for assumption. The extremely unprofessional service, sub-par food and the entire experience till this day, nearly 5 years later makes me so upset. I have young children that I take to get ice cream at Cold Stone right next door and whenever I see your shop it brings me back to such a poor example of how a small business should treat residents in the community. The fact that it took you a second bad review as a follow-up goes to show that you didn't care about my review the first time and its purely "optics" that matter to you. I see that you flagged my follow up, but I'll be sure to update it properly without the hateful messaging. For that I do apologize. For everything else, I do not. I'm a firm believer that your staff and team are a direct reflection of you and your business. If the kids working for your shop are family or personal friends, or they still work there, then I rest my case. And to add, the food wasn't horrible, It was mediocre. A very good poke option but don't expect anything authentic! Although pricy, I'd say the portion was rather large compared to other establishments. I don't know if I just came on a lucky day but the workers were packing the scoops of protein on generously. Double scoops on almost everything! I was full about halfway into my bowl. As for the flavors itself, it's pretty comparable to most other similar poke spots but I do love that their spicy tuna actually had a good kick. Their sauce options are quite vast and I also appreciate that they don't charge extra for crab salad. For about $18 a bowl, it is a bit expensive but I left feeling very full and had some leftovers for the next day. The service was good in part because I loved how generous they were with the scoops. Inside is also clean and a nice place to dine in but I see lots of people ordering online for takeout. I definitely want to come back one day to try their baked bowls, as it looked quite tasty! This place is pretty good. They've got a wide variety of sides to choose from (all my favorites)! Everything tastes fresh and the portion size is big. But being a foodie, I wish my bowl had better presentation. It looked messy. One of the girls that served me and my family wasn't really the best. This has always been our go too poke bowl spot in Fremont. When ever we are in the area we make sure to have this for lunch since my brother lives down the way. We came in and ordered three Large poke bowls around 8 and they close around 8:30. Only bummer with coming hella late the quality of fish goes down and items are more scarce then usual. They were even out of salmon. I get it, it's late but ehh. Overall decent poke bowls to eat as a hella late dinner. Usually they are hella good but since like I said it was late they barley had any rice in them. The taste was good but it just didn't taste as fresh as it usually does. & Can y'all please stop watering down your spicy Mayo soo much! It's wayy too loose. We found this place through DoorDash and we could not have had a worse experience ordering from this place. Cost - relatively expensive compared to similar establishments Ordering Process - the bake bowl is spicy. This was not disclosed on the menu within the app - shortly after order went through, we got a call from the DoorDash indicating they were at the restaurant and they didn't have our order. So we had try to communicate what we ordered and ultimately sent them a screenshot of our order. The order therefore came extremely late. - the order was still incorrect when we received it: missing items, missing ingredients Quality - Living, flying bug in food, crawling around everything. YUCK - the fish quality is so-so - baked bowl is good but doesn't seem worth the price Overall, this was a terrible first impression and I'm not sure if there's anything that can bring us back to try it a second time.
