After torturing our dog at the Dog Wash, we needed refueling. We hadn't been back to Poke Don in a long time, so we headed over. Because it was so hot, I waited in the car with the dog, the air conditioning running. My wife went in and placed the order and waited while it was prepared. A few customers had exited as we were figuring out what we wanted. She was the only customer to order and the one man working the counter took her order and prepared it. Other guests arrived and more employees came out from the back to help them. The gentleman wanted to know what we wanted for each section of our bowls, while making both bowls at the same time. She was quite happy with her bowl. I won't say that I wasn't happy BUT there was a hint of spice in my bowl and I did not order anything that should have been spicy. Overall, while we enjoyed our bowls, it seems like these were the smallest portioned "large" Poke bowls that we've ever received. Flavor and texture wise, they were on point. Would we dine here again? Probably, if in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Stopped by Poke Don in San Ramon because I was craving a poke bowl. The place has a nice setup and plenty of topping options to customize your bowl just the way you like it -- definitely a plus! The salmon and tuna were fresh and tasted great, which is exactly what I was hoping for. However, I did notice that some of the other fish -- especially the ones that aren't ordered as often -- looked pretty dry and not as appealing. So I stuck to the basics. One major downside: the service was very slow. There were only three customers ahead of me, but it still took nearly 20 minutes to get through the line. It wasn't super busy, so it felt like the team just wasn't moving efficiently or was possibly short-staffed. Overall, the poke bowl I got was solid, and I'd consider coming back for the fresh salmon and tuna. But if you're in a hurry or expecting quick service, this might not be the best spot during peak times.

Hands down THE best poke in town. Fresh fish, fresh toppings and friendly staff every time. The sauces are THE BEST. Been coming here for years and won't ever stop. 10/10 recommend.

First time stopping here- found it on Yelp. My bowl was really good. I have to say I've never been to place that offers Unagi as one of its proteins so I was pleasantly surprised. The service was unfortunately eh but it's fine. I actually thought the value for what I got was pretty good too. One thing I wish they weren't so stingy with was their crab salad.

great poke bowl. prices are absurd and there is hardly any staff, the service takes forever! not to mention the employee is always sidetracked with other tasks so it takes a while for anything to get done. prices could be lowered or more staff could be hired.

    Unagi and Toro ... Beautiful!

Poke Don is absolutely delicious. My friend and I had a a bowl with Tuna as the focal point and topped it off with sliced Unagi. (Broiled Eel) Every ingredient is individually prepared with care and attention. All the The fish is fresh and tasty. Vibrant and refreshing vegetables decorate the bowl. Most importantly, the rice! The rice was perfect. The fact that Poke Don is so clean and and inviting is a testament to the owners' care for his restaurant and for his clients. Highly recommended.

Medium bowl. Half brown rice/ have mixed greens with only salmon.

Black girl tried to lock the doors 2:50 today and they don't close until 3. She opened the door when she saw me standing outside but she was clearly annoyed and rude and didn't want to serve me. I'm never going back

Do you guys do in-door dining now?

This location has never really been setup to accommodate indoor dining. When there's a line, everybody's butts would be at table level!!

What time do you open and close?

Their hours are less than consistent, and they open for lunch, then close and reopen for dinner

Can you order online for pickup?

Sadly, no. Their menu is so wide and varied, it's nearly impossible to accommodate online or phone orders

Gluten free sauce options or all soy sauce based?

spicy miyo n mango no soy

So incredibly overpriced and disappointing. Their "premium" nigiri (10 pc for $75) was not premium at all. In fact, it was worse than basic/cheap nigiri you get elsewhere. All the pieces were tiny, half of them were chewy, and not at all what the menu said they were supposed to be. For instance, the "king salmon" was "sad" salmon and garnished with some kind of orange marmalade-bizarre and gross. I had to choke down the "Wagyu" nigiri because it was so chewy. I couldn't believe how bad it all was. I should have known the dinner was doomed after I ordered their "Crab amuse," which was three pieces ($18!!) of shredded IMITATION crab wrapped in the thinnest piece of tuna you've ever seen, then placed in a weird, sweet cream sauce. Even the miso soup (which I've never received with nigiri omakase, but ok) was barely room temperature and totally watered down. Sorry, Ukai. I have no idea how your reviews are so high, but you have no business operating as a "sushi" bistro or whatever you want to call yourself. Sigh.

We've tried this BBQ stand at least three times over the last few years. Every time, we get lured in by the incredible smoky aroma at the local farmers markets, forget that the food isn't good, and try it again. Tonight at the Dublin Farmers Market was our final reality check. We ordered the chicken and ribs combo, and the meat was incredibly dry, heavily charred, and so tough it felt like eating jerky. To make matters worse, they served the side of cucumber salad in a lidless plastic container wrapped only in thin foil--which predictably spilled everywhere. Save your money and bypass the enticing smell. I am officially writing this to remind myself (and everyone else) to keep walking!

They sell a ham & cheese croissant, coffees, teas, lattes, and four flavors of Japanese shaved ice called kakigori, which is the star of the show. The texture of this shaved ice is like fluffy cool softness that melts in your mouth. It is different than the traditional shaved ice and it is far from a snow cone. We ordered mango and kinako (a roasted soybean flour commonly mixed with sugar). These are large desserts! It takes time to make them since there are fresh ingredients inside. The mango was superb with little bits of fresh mango buried inside the ice. Not sickeningly sweet like the syrups most places use. My husband's had little mochi pieces mixed inside. It is common to add kinako to mochi so this was a bonus and a nice surprise. The kinako dessert was sweeter than the mango. Please know that there seems to be no a/c in this little shop but she has fans going. We went in the late afternoon so it was really uncomfortable inside. I had to leave and wait outside until the dessert was ready. It's hard to take these home as it melts fast so we sat inside to enjoy them. It was like heaven in my mouth and it cooled me down instantly. You must be patient as it takes at least 10-15 minutes for her to prepare the desserts but it is worth the wait! There is a small parking lot right in front shared with other businesses. Located right off the freeway behind Burger King.

Just to note, there's at least two other sushi places around here, with one across the street and one just down the street in the shopping center next to this one, there' no shortages of sushi spots here. However, with Senro Sushi, if you want affordability it's probably one of the more affordable ones out of all 3 in this area. The place itself is pretty big, with lots of seating inside and very spacious all around with a pretty massive sushi bar area. They are staffed well overall, as even when you go in the morning there's usually a couple of servers at least, and several sushi chefs behind the sushi bar counter area, prepping fish, cutting, making sushi and etc. The service here is pretty good overall. Haven't had any issues. The menu here is, pretty big. They have a bit of everything that's not just sushi options of course. I've tried several things here already, so let me just go through each thing. The lunch bento is probably the best bang for your buck here. Compared to the other sushi spots, you won't be able to find one as cheap as them, and the amount of stuff you get here with it is pretty good too. This bento box does come with miso soup and also a tasty salad (dressing is yummers). You will also get a California Roll with it, which is amazing because their California here is actually quite tasty. One of the better ones hands down. You have the option to choose two other things from the menu (if you choose to go with 2 items), and decide what you want. I've tried the chicken teriyaki, the chicken katsu, and the tempura. All have been good. Hands down what you should get if you're here at that time on a weekday. The Agadashi tofu was just okay. Wasn't terrible, but felt their dashi was really bland, and the tofu itself wasn't fried that well. It needs to be more crisp to avoid it just falling apart when moist. Also, the batter they used just didn't have any flavor to it at all. It was okay. The sushi roll we got was yum. I don't really have much else to say about it other than that it was good. The fish was fresh, the spicy fish was good, and the sauces blended well. Good. The chicken egg don was not great. We had actually mistakenly ordered this instead of the katsudon, and this was just awful. The chicken didn't feel well cooked, the broccoli was just straight steamed with no sauce on it. The egg was overcooked, and not even remotely fluffy for what this is supposed to be. Just overall not at all what I had expected. Overall, Senro is a great spot for affordable sushi options in this area in San Ramon. While it's not going to offer anything super flashy, which the sushi spot in the shopping center across the street may offer, it's also going to be much less of a bill here when all said and done. The bento boxes are hands down the best option here for those here on a weekday lunch. The sushi rolls here are also great. Some of the other stuff we had were just, okay, but overall, was a nice experience here right near the Crow Canyon freeway exit.
