We ordered from Hiroshi's through Uber Eats, and it was delicious. The poke bowls were huge, and they're not stingy with the fish like many other places. That alone will lead me to eat at Hiroshi's again. There was also a ton of rice; I couldn't eat all of it, but it was nice and sticky and flavorful. We had the salmon and the tuna, both of which tasted fresh. I forget the name for the specific salmon I ordered, but the salmon had the onions and sauce on it. I loved the addition of macaroni salad, the flavors all worked great together for Hawaiian poke. I'd definitely recommend this place to others! read more

I LOVE this poke shop!! The have a great selection of fish and a variety of toppings and sauces to choose from. The service is quick and easy. They give a big portion for the price! Flavor is there and it is wonderful. If you ever have the time go visit this place in the University District! read more

Fantastic poke. The store is a little small, so I would recommend getting a takeout than sitting down to eat. I came pretty late for dinner and couldn't continue eating after 7:30pm. I thought it opens until 8pm, but the dining area closes at 7:30. It's fine. I get it. The portion is really huge for me, so I'm not sure what people were complaining about. I'm a fan and will definitely visit again! read more

Pretty solid Poke! Portion size is Hiroshi's strength and these bowls will definitely fill you up for a great price. Being in the U District, this is a perfect match for college students, but everyone else should check out Hiroshi's as well. Fish quality and flavors here are pretty good. I came pretty close to closing time so they were missing a handful of options, but I enjoyed what I had. The marinade is just right, and the fish chunks are well cut as mentioned by other reviewers. Slightly less variety of toppings than some other places but that's only minor. Service is friendly and fast. It's a really nice family that works here and makes you feel happy to give them your service. Parking is typical street parking on the ave. Out of all Poke places near UW I'd probably recommend Hiroshi's! read more

Hiroshi's is some of the best poke that hits close to home (I'm from Hawai'i) but still adds a bit more Japanese flavor which I'm a fan of. Cuts of poke are always small and tender, I'm honestly a fan of all the salmon and tuna options. Topped off with minimal toppings and a bit of ponzu is my perfect poke bowl. read more

If you've heard about which restaurant has the best poke in Wallingford, I have to say this place is way better than the one you have in your mind now. (Personal point of view) the poke is fresh, lots of toppings and fillings to choose from, the staff are friendly. I have to be honest that I have been doing takeouts from Hiroshi's four times already in 1.5 months. :p oops. read more

One of my favorite places to go. Their fish is fresh and in large portions. The toppings are unlimited (lowkey). The owner is nice and the place is clean. There's not much seating and the place is card only and doesn't print receipts. I will always come back for the tasty fish and their toppings. Protip: mandarin oranges. Eat as a palate cleanser and it really wraps up the meal. read more

Been looking for a good poke place in Seattle since I moved here from the Bay Area, and I've found it!! The fish tastes so fresh and my bowl was overall really really good. All the proteins are pre-marinated so I like to ask for ponzu on my rice before they put the proteins on top (because I love ponzu). Definitely will be my go-to poke place from now on. read more

Great quality for a good price! Got a huge yummy bowl with salmon and tuna poke and a bunch of toppings. I like how you can pick as many toppings as you want. The price was a little over ten bucks and I felt like for the amount of food I got it was a good deal. Only downside- Water cups are too small. But I'll definitely be coming back! read more

The fish at Hiroshi's are fresh with amazing toppings available. Overall, great poke with big portions at a very affordable price. One con is that it's takeout only and the interior of the store is very small. If you are ever around the University of Washington, I highly recommend trying this place! This is the spot where all the university students go if they are craving poke :) read more

So so so good! Fresh fish, salad, and unlimited toppings. Two protein (salmon, tuna, shrimp, scallop, etc.) will only run you $11.50 after tax. I highly recommend this poke spot if you're looking for something tasty and healthy- it's seriously one of the best poke I've had in a while! read more

This place was more popular than I thought it was going to be. It's a hidden gem for sure. The poke bowls are BIG, and I describe this as a person that's eaten a fair share of poke and I had the thought "am I almost done yet?" Initially I thought there was too much rice, but they give equal/fair amounts of fish and other toppings to fit your desired cravings. There's only two people working the station, so it can be a short wait if the line is out the door, but worth it. read more

Good variety of protein options to satisfy any sort of taste. My favorite so far is just the original, but all others I've tried have been great as well. I really like that you just pay for the amount of protein - In my opinion, this is definitely the best poke option in north Seattle because of the price x quality! I usually only get one protein and that's plenty for me. I would also recommend getting half sushi rice and half lettuce mix for the base. All ingredients and topping have consistently been fresh and well-prepared. Don't skip out on the macaroni salad, either. I'd just eat it before mixing up your bowl :o) Service has always been good and quick. This place is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area (ツ) read more

OK, if you're looking for the best modern-ish poke, look no further. I've been having hiroshi's for awhile now - it's been about 2-3 years - and after trying poke from other spots, I always find myself coming back here for a few reasons: 1. Generous portion - if I finish my bowl of hiroshi's, let's just say the rest of the day would be me slumping in and out of a food coma. There have really generous portions. 2. Very affordable price - it comes out to about $9.90 with tax before tip and damn, that's a steal. 3. Many toppings, and it's the ones you want 4. What's in the rice? I usually go for the usual spicy tuna. I get the half brown and half white rice which for some reason is super tasty. I don't know what they put in the rice or how it's prepared, but I've never had a bad experience splitting the rice in half. I tried re creating this in a few other places too but it's just not the same. They have free macaroni salad which is delish. As for toppings, get whatever you want but I highly recommend adding the oranges. It's a strange thing to add into your poke but the sweet sour citrus adds anorher layer of flavor into the food. 10/10 read more

one of my favorite places to eat near uw! i love sushi and poke but there isn't a lot of options in u district. hiroshis has the best price and portions, i always eat 2 meals for one bowl. the fish is really fresh, i normally prefer salmon but here i always get their tuna. the only thing is they don't have any indoor seating so you'll have to find somewhere else to eat, but i normally just get boba nearby and eat there. if you have a poke craving i definitely recommend hiroshis! read more

I cannot stress enough how much I love Hiroshi's. I started going about 3-4 years ago when they just opened and let me tell you this place is just as tasty as it was back then! I usually get spicy tuna one choice, half rice half spinach. My favorite part about this place is the ability to have a variety of toppings. Many other places limit the toppings to just two or three, but as someone who loves my veggies, I appreciate the opportunity to get four or five toppings of my choice. The customer service is excellent. They have done a wonderful job during covid to make the employees and the customers feel safe while ordering bowls. I truly hope they continue to stay resilient amid the virus because Hiroshi's is one of the hidden gems in Seattle. read more

After being a bit disappointed with the 45th St Poke, we went searching for another. Hiroshi's did not disappoint! It's in the U-district, so you know that the quantity had to measure up, and they had no problem with the quality either. It's a very small space with just a few small tables inside. Not a huge issue, as most folks order takeouts. Take your time and read the instructions on the signs, but it's pretty basic. You'll be working with someone who will be building your poke bowl, as you walk down the bevy of topping options. I always get stuck at the sauce options, but they have been very helpful. They base their sauce suggestion on the fish choice and toppings, and so far they've been on point. I'm a bit picky when raw fish is involved and Hiroshi's is now my go to place for poke. read more

Best place for poke bowl that we tried so far. The portions are there for the price you pay! Too bad it's far from me but so worth it if I'm around the area. University district is filled with tons of food and shops. So glad we found this place. Parking can get hard. You pay for parking everywhere here lol. Fish tasted fresh and so many toppings you can choose from. Although I'm not used to veggies with my poke bowl, all the flavors balanced so well. Must try! read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because the quality is always top notch but honestly the portions depend on who's working that day. Most of the time it is a very friendly older Asian lady and she always hooks me up to with plenty of Poke but recently we got a younger guy who barely put anything in the bowl and I was left hungry with a bunch of rice. But that was just once and for the price the quality of Poke can't be beat. read more

There was only one guy working when I visited, so I assume that may be Hiroshi? Haha, but he was immediately very friendly and helpful. It was my first time at this particular poke shop but he let me know which were the popular choices, was great about letting me sample, and was really cool. The poke was a very decent size for the price (around $11-$13), and he didn't skimp out on portions of the actual fish too. The salmon and tuna had a lot flavor and tasted very fresh. There was a variety of sauces to choose from. The place is pretty tiny so not a lot of seating, so I guess I was just fortunate to have come when it wasn't too busy. Overall a really great experience and am looking forward to going back. read more

After a run at Green Lake I tend to get hungry so this places popped up on yelp. Photos looked amazing, enough reviews to warrant the 4.5 stars, I was sold. It is a mini shop across from Audi and plenty of street parking. There are only 3 tables but luckily it was near closing where we were able to sit. Just looking at the poke, it looked fresh and seemed marinated. I was right. The portion was big. 8 oz of fish for $10.49 was a deal. I got the kona bowl which is the original Hiroshi's sauce tuna and Hawaiian tuna. Usually at other poke place I spread out my tuna to fit every bite of salad or rice. This bowl I finished my salad and sides before my poke. Will definitely be back after every run! Tip: you don't really need the extra sauce at the end as it was already seasoned and marinated pretty well. I would ask for the sauce on side cause they do over-sauce it. read more

Stopped by Hiroshi's Poke while we were visiting Seattle Children. The women scooping the poke was extremely helpful and nice explaining about the different poke they had. The flavors of all the toppings were nice as well as the sauces. I didn't care for the potato salad or whatever that was that came with the meal. We will be back! read more

The poke itself is okay good but the portion is so great for the price. The combos they have honestly I cannot tell the difference too much. It is confusing. On top of picking the meat and sides, you can pick your own sauce and seasoning like fried garlic, seaweeds, etc. which is pretty nice. The table is small so there aren't a lot of seatings though maybe like 3 tables. I don't know what happened but I started tearing up for a moment when I was there. My theory is because someone was cutting onions. Now you know how small the place is lol. read more

Very small (3 tiny tables) poke place off the Ave, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in freshness and bang for your buck. There are pre-designed bowls to order or you can go rogue and make your own. 2 scoops of fish is $10.99 and was more than I could finish (tuna, salmon, octopus, shrimp ceviche). They offer all sorts of toppings and sauces as well as white and brown rice. read more

If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that the rice was a bit too mushy. Other than that, everything, from freshness of the fish, portion, sauce, to the fixings, was top notch. We tried the lomi lomi salmon, original tuna, spicy tuna, and Hawaiian tuna, and octopus--they were all on-point! Regarding the COVID situation, it's a small place, so it likely can't accommodate more than 4 or 5 customers at once. read more

The rice was lukewarm. Nothing was mentioned about minced tuna on the menu so it looked like dog food in my bowl. I'm white... so what in the white people shit was in my bowl? Like...genuinely. I could make that 10x better at my house in half the time and I'm a fcking college student. Is seasoning no longer with us? Does anyone know what pepper or garlic are? Was astonished at how one can make a dish so terrible. I only ate it because I'm broke and can't afford other stuff. The dish looks as horrible as it tasted , and I made it look better than it was served to me I could go on. And lastly, the checks. Yknow, for guys that seemed so pissed for us being there, they were slow as hell with the checks. I'm kind af but a bitch when I'm fucked with (case in point here), so I really gave them my whole dentures, which was exponential in magnitude compared to what they gave us. It's a small convenience store in addition to the poke shop so there are limited seats available. The mart itself sells of a lot of Asian snacks and drinks. Highly recommend checking this place out for fresh poke stuffed to the brim. They do not skimp out on the fish.

The food was decent, particularly for the price, but next time I would prefer to eat in-person given that the fish had warmed considerably during the drive home.

The dispenser was wet, suggesting it had recently been used and run out. I flagged this to an employee who was handling food at the time. They acknowledged me but didn't address it. I waited and brought it up again and was met with visible annoyance. Another staff member eventually mentioned that employees use a sink in the kitchen. I asked if I could use it. Shortly after, soap appeared in the bathroom with no acknowledgment or apology. What concerns me most is this: if the customer-facing restroom had no soap during the dinner rush, and the response to being asked about it was irritation rather than urgency, what does that say about how handwashing is handled behind the scenes? I'm not looking for perfection. I'm looking for basic food safety protocol to be taken seriously. I didn't see that here.

It turned out to be one of the best cups of chowder I've ever had--rich, flavorful, and loaded with crab. I sat at the bar, where Joyce took great care of me. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made an otherwise difficult day a little easier. Great service can make a real difference, and she absolutely delivered. Salty's isn't the cheapest dining option at SEA, but between the quality of the food, the relaxed atmosphere, and the outstanding service, I think it's well worth it. If you're looking for a great meal before your flight, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

The chowder alone isn't enough to carry a $60+ meal. Would I come back? Maybe for a cup of chowder at the bar. Not for the full experience.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!
