Poke Dot was super busy during the lunch hour. I was nearby and decided to stop and check out this place. My navigation took me to the back side of the center where there was plenty of parking. It looked like it was more crowded in the front parking lot. it was pretty lively and loud inside with a lot of customers eating and talking. There was plentiful outdoor seating as well. There was plenty of staff working and assigned to each section of the toppings. This is a good move to accommodate all the customers during the busy times. I chose to get half-and-half with brown rice and the mixed greens. I got the large with five scoops of fish, including salmon, blazed, salmon, and octopus. For the sauce I went with House sauce, medium, ponzu, and spicy mayo. I got almost everything that was available including avocado, which is not extra. This is amazing because I haven't been to any other poke place that offers this. There are other good toppings included such as crab, seaweed salad, and Masago. There's even crumbled hot Cheetos if that's your thing. Everything tasted very fresh, however, the fish was a bit bland, even though it was mixed with the sauces. I think I'll definitely have to ask for a sauce on the side next time. I had some for lunch and then I had plenty of leftovers for dinner. I'm definitely putting this on my lunch rotation.

I stopped by this poke spot after hearing some good things about it online and was not disappointed. Parking is plentiful and the inside is clean and quaint. The staff was kind and efficient. I got the large bowl which was around $20 which comes with five scoops of protein. I got two scoops of the limited spicy salmon and 3 scoops of regular salmon. They also have so many delicious toppings such as crab meat, avocado, seaweed salad, hot cheeto flakes, and so much more for no additional charge. The ponzu was a delicious topping and the owner was so nice and helped out on the line too which I appreciate. Overall great value, will definitely be back soon!

A great poke spot for the price and amount you get. The fish are big chunks and do not taste fishy at all and they had plenty of toppings to choose from. Could easily be a 4 or 5 star place but the day I went, the rice was just so bad. Given the rice was the base of the entire dish, it really ruined the experience for me. It was hard and almost tasted like old rice. Staff were friendly and there's plenty of seating options indoors and outdoor by the plaza. Will try and come back again and hopefully the rice will be better next time.

Great place for some delicious poke. I got the 3 scoop and it was still under $20! Unbelievable. Loving the free avocado and the sauces. Ended up trying the honey wasabi and spicy mayo. Wish they had eel sauce but not a deal breaker. Portions were satisfying and service was great. I'm coming back for more.

Get the most bang out of your buck by getting the large because they pack that thing full. The taste of the food is quite bland but just ask for more sauce or add your own (they have soy sauce packets there too). Service was quick and there's ample seating.

Heard super great things about this place and I just had to check it out as I am an avid poke lover! There was no line when I came in and the worker was so friendly. I was so surprised on how heavy the food was even though I got a small size. It definitely fed me for two meals. The poke itself was so delicious and there was a huge variety of toppings to pick from. They also have a stamp card that you can get a stamp every time you visit.

Went during lunch and was helped right away. Even with the lunch rush, the line goes by fast. I loved the huge selection of fresh fish and toppings. I got the Maui Tuna as one of my choices, and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered a large bowl and THEY. LOADED. IT. UP. Seriously, you will be full. The fish was fresh and tasted fantastic. The only small issue was that the music was a little loud, so I think the employee had a hard time hearing me. I'm not taking off any stars because it honestly could have been on me for not speaking loudly enough. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back!

Poke Dot is good. However, they have raised their prices a lot over the past 3 to 4 years. It's overpriced IMO (hence the 3 stars) but it's really the only poke place nearby if you work in the area so this is your only option. There are similar places in Irvine that give the same amount of food but for less price. The sauces are bland compared to previous years when I would come here once a week or so. Customer service has been efficient. Always busy though of course during the lunch rush during the week. Ample parking. Clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Overall - if you're craving poke and in the area - this place is good but it's just overpriced.

By far - my favorite poke in the OC. Everything is always so fresh and they're always so friendly. Every time I've visited, the consistency is always there. I usually get the smallest size (2 proteins) and tbh, it's a great amount of food. I wished there was a size in between, I usually can't finish it. They pack the box, always! My go to is always one of their seasonal salmon/tuna. Parking can be annoying on the weekdays during lunch. Theres indoor and outdoor seating.

Evening view from patio of inbound flight path to Orange County Airport.

Wonderful fresh selection and reasonably priced Poke and beer can be purchased from Cluck Kitchen nextdoor .

Yes they have GF soy sauce, Spicy Mayo, and Sesame oil as GF sauce options. Note* per employee The Imitation crab is not GF.

Do they let you get extra toppings? Ex: Avacado 2 scoops instead of 1

There is a charge for a 2nd scoop of avocado. (But they'll give you a 2nd scoop of crabmeat at no charge - I know most other places would charge for the crab.)

Even though it was 6:15 on a Saturday night, we were able to be sat right away. As soon as we walked in, someone greeted us and showed us to our table. Our server immediately got us waters and asked if we wanted anything else to drink (wife and I both got some delicious beers that they had on tap). We had our little one in tow with us and they were so accommodating to him! As soon as we were ready, our server took our order. We got: Chowder "frots" (fries and tots mixed in with some New England clam chowder, bacon, onions, cheese, and other goodies) 10/10, would definitely order again. My wife got the lobster roll with a side of clam chowder. Loaded with lobster, but you do pay the price. Labeled as market price, this was almost $40. Delicious, but not worth it in our opinion. 6.5/10. Pan roast (house specialty which came with shredded crab, shrimp, clams, and muscles). This, topped with rice, was heavenly. Better than any pan roast I've had. Came out ripping hot as it should. My wife was envious of my dish. 10/10 From the kids menu we also ordered the chicken Alfredo. My kid loved it, but my wife and I both had a bite and wow, we would've ordered that for ourselves it was so good. 10/10. We can't wait to come back just for the food. On top of that, however, service was above and beyond. The servers and everyone in the restaurant were so accommodating to us and our child and made us feel so, so welcome. We would come back even if the food was bad, solely for the service we received. Vibes we great, decoration on the walls look like they hired an artist to paint it. They had two TV's behind the bar / prep area that was showing NBA and PGA which I'll never complain about. All around 10/10 experience.

My experience with the Water Grill began with reading…read morereviews on Yelp. I was expecting an overpriced let down like another Fish place in Lake Forest that we have visited. What I experienced was on a whole different level, I might even say this is a "perfect" restaurant; so much better than any other fish restaurant I have ever experienced. We had a reservation for our anniversary, but the table they first offered was not private. We got miffed and spoke with the manager. He moved us to another table which was private. He said something to me that I will always remember, "We are going to make your evening incredible." He did. Our server was John. He was kind, relaxed, attentive and friendly. He immediately brought us the most delicious bread and butter. Our appetizers were shrimp and crowder. Both were very excellent. Unfortunately, one person in our party had a medical issue, but John stayed with us through the whole ordeal. He was so compassionate, sharing a time in his life when things were not so great. His care and kindness were so above and beyond any level of service I have ever experienced. Things improved quickly and our meal came. We had Alaskan Black Cod over soba, the Sea Bass, and I had a two and one quarter pound Lobster! It was a kind of "Oooh" with the sea bass, "Wow" with the Black Cod and "OH MY GOD" when the lobster came. If you have been following me or read my reviews, I can be very harsh and picky when the food is not prepared correctly. This was the best lobster I have ever eaten. The meat was so sweet and fresh. John explained in detail how exactly they prepare the lobster. Great care is taken to preserve that freshness. They gave me every part of the lobster, and I absolutely loved taking my time finding and extracting every ounce of Lobster meat. I love to work and eat at the same time. It was fun. We ended with coffee and dessert. This was an Epic Meal. They spread rose petals on our table for our anniversary. I will never forget the kindness and compassion of John. Beyond Five Stars Definitely the very best restaurant in Orange County.
