I received some of the best customer service at this restaurant when I was in Hawaii this past week. Our original lunch plans had to be canceled because of delays when flying into the airport. As a result, we were very hungry and scrambling to find a place to eat lunch. We walked to poke fix and they were two minutes from closing, so we were not sure if they were going to help us (which would've been 100% understandable). Not only did he take our order and make our bowls, but he gave recommendations and suggestions based off of what he had left to serve us. He was very nice and helpful and we were very grateful that he stayed open to accommodate us as well as two other people who walked in right behind us. The poke bowls themselves were phenomenal and easily our favorite ones of the trip. I am still thinking about it and how I wish I had just one more visit to their shop! read more

I'm first of all amazing service, very fast. But let's talk about the food because it was 1000/10. I have to say this is the best poke I ever HAD. First place we went to when we landed and we went again next day. . I had the spicy mayo salmon and the ahi tuna. Nothing topped this. Seriously amazing. read more

The salmon was so fresh. The quality of the fish did not disappoint. I didnt think id like it bc it was kinda sweet, but no, the flavor blends perfectly with the spicy ahi. Me and my boyfriend loved every bite of it AND IT DOESNT HAVE THE FISHY AFTER TASTE. This was worth trying!!!! Oh and we met the owner himself and served us the poke bowl. Very nice guy! read more

GOOD: You can't go to Hawaii without having a bowl of poke. The flavors were amazing. I don't think I saw anything I didn't want in my bowl. The tough part is being limited to a few ingredients or be prepared to pay $40 for a pot poke. BAD: Not much seating. It was a to-go style joint. NOTABLES: It was a small mom and pop shop. Support your local small businesses. Especially when they are amazing! 1-star: I've had hemorrhoids more pleasant than this. 2-star: I would rather avoid this place. 3-star: On par with other similar establishments. 4-star: Will return as often as possible. 5-star: I refuse to find a better place. read more

Stopped by to grab a poke bowl. Poke Fix is a small location, and there was only 1 person working when we went. We opted for a 1 choice bowl with salad (+$1). The salad "upgrade" definitely was not worth the money (it's a small handful of chopped lettuce) but we wanted greens vs rice. We got the Hawaiian style tuna for our protein, which was good but not spectacular. Sides were also fine. Scoops all around could have been more generous. All in, our single 1-choice poke bowl ran us almost $20 after tax and tip, which is too expensive in my opinion. It's enough food for 1 person with a small appetite but not a particularly generous meal. Candidly more 3-3.5 stars but they seem like a local, small business, and service was very friendly. read more

Kind of hidden on a side street, you have to know it's there hole in the wall kinda place, is Poke Fix. They have delicious poke bowls. I'd say top three on my list. Love their sushi rice, the poke is always fresh and delicious. Their sides, sauces, and toppings make the perfect accompaniment. I like the spicy ahi and scallops option. Staff is friendly and answers questions. As for a sample if you are torn between what to get. read more

Hunting for the best poke is a fun past time while you're visiting Oahu. Poke Fix is one of the main contenders. A small shop off the beaten path of a sidewalk; it's easy to miss so pay attention to Google maps. Inside is very small I don't remember any seating; it's purely take away. Based on what's fresh that day the menu will rotate. This was the only shop that had some pretty exotic fixings, like octopus, jellyfish, etc. Unfortunately the fish I wanted to try was sold out by the time I visited (around 2pm) For a pretty penny, you get a very delicious bowl you can take to the beach. This is the third poke place we tried in Honolulu this week, and by far our least favourite. We went to Ono and Foodland the days before. We didn't think there's bad poke in Hawaii! We ordered the ahi shoyu and it was pretty fishy. It didn't seem fresh. The ahi was also not super flavourful. There's also an up charge of $2.50 market place for the ahi options. We had a 10% off coupon and wanted to give this a try, however was definitely a disappointment compared to some others we have tried. read more

This place is off the main strip so you have to make a point to search for it. Came here off the recommendation of a retail sales associate in the area and it was great. We tried the shoyu poke and and spicy poke and I have to say that the spicy one wins for sure. I was going to go for spicy mayo but the woman working gave me a sample of the spicy and it was so, so delicious. They really focus on the extra fixings here- from the toppings to the sauces. Get the Unagi sauce on your spicy poke and thank me later. No seating so this is a grab and go kind of place :) read more

This place has the best Poke Bowl on the island. I stumbled upon it while walking through an ally, I could not believe how hidden it was! a true hidden gem! The owner was awesome friendly and made lots of great suggestions. Please visit this place if you wish to find a delicious alternative to the often overpriced businesses on the main strip. Poke fix was recommended to me by a friend who lives locally. The store is located on a quiet side street of Waikiki. It is a small, with no seating, so just grab to go. I got the miso marinated tako, Hawaiian style ahi, and spicy Salmon. Each bowl comes with 3 free toppings, and I got the seaweed salad, edamame, and crab salad. Everything was fresh and really yummy. The girls working at the counter were super sweet and nice. They offered samples for me to try when I couldn't decide what to pick. This place is bomb! Little hole in the wall but it's fire. Stopped by for our first poke bowl of our Oahu trip & Scott was awesome and friendly. Fish tastes fresh and wasn't blasted with marinade, which is a +1 for me cause the freshness of the fish comes through more. Toppings are good, Scott has good vibes & pricing is pretty good for the quality. Overall definitely recommend checking out this spot. Wish they were open later so we could've gone one more time before we leave but I think he closes once he runs out. Will definitely be back!! read more

I will cut to the chase. The fish here is VERY FRESH and super delicious! This was our first time at Poke Fix Hawaii and the two workers very kindly explained our options. We chose to go with the bigger bowl where you can get either 1 or 2 scoops of fish. I chose 2 scoops (Shoyu furikake salmon and spicy garlic shrimp). My husband got 3 scoops. The third scoop was an additional $5. He got shoyu furikake salmon, spicy mayo ahi, and ahi MP. There are no tables so you just buy your food and go somewhere else to eat it. Service was good. The workers were very friendly. I feel that the price was high. It was also confusing because there are additional costs depending on what you pick. For example, you have two bowl options: 1 scoop or 2 scoops of fish. You can get additional scoops for $5/scoop. Some of the fish options cost you an additional $2.25 (even if they are part of the 2 scoops you selected). If you want salad along with your rice that costs $1. Although I felt that it was pricey, I am not disappointed. The fish was delicious! read more

Hole in the wall place! They're located in an alley way in the Waikiki area and don't have any indoor seating. I got the 2 choice poke bowl with Spicy Salmon and Hawaiian Style Ahi. They charge extra $2.75 MP per ahi serving. The sashimi was fresh and pieces were big but just not very flavorful. We walked by someone who offered us poke samples and even my boyfriend who normally doesn't like poke thought it was really good! The poke is super fresh and delicious. We got the shoyu ahi and hamachi, which was the daily special, as our two protein options. We also tried the taegu for one of our sides, which is like a Korean style cuttlefish. Highly recommend! The prices are a little confusing though, because certain items cost extra. For instance, the price of a 2 choice bowl is $16, but ours came out to be $25. read more

This is a hole-in-the-wall poke shop in a narrow street in the Waikiki area. It's a small restaurant with no indoor seating or outdoor seating. You can find a table or a park nearby to eat your food. To start, pick either one protein ($13) or two ($16) and then choose a base (sushi rice or salad). For the ahi, there was a market price of $2.75 per serving but that varies depending on the day you go. I got the spicy ahi ($13) which was more minced than diced. It was good with a slight spice but the portions could've been bigger than an ice cream scoop, especially with the added market price charge. There are other poke spots in the Waikiki area that I prefer, more importantly with bigger portions and a lower price. read more

Fresh fish, good rice, nice and fresh sides, friendly service, fair prices for the area - what's not to love? My first bowl was Hawaiian Ahi one scoop, and it needed more fish. The next was spicy Ahi and salmon (2 scoops). The spicy Ahi was really tasty. While the salmon was also fresh, I have mixed feelings about getting fish not native to the islands, but I'm trying to up my omega-3s. Would probably stick with 2 scoops of spicy Ahi in the future, but you really cannot go wrong here. read more

Poke Fix has a simple menu, and they only have poke (as a main item). It's their focus, and they excel at it. Best poke of our trip. 1 - Choose a type of bowl: rice or salad (+$1) 2 - Choose one ($13) or two types of poke ($16), though there is a +$2.75 surcharge for ahi tuna 3 - Choose three sides (of which there are about ten different types with a surcharge for avocados) I got the salad bowl with hamachi poke and the Hawaiian ahi tuna poke with the kimchi, crab salad and seaweed salad. The combination of the two types of poke and the three side dishes were superb. They also had some ube coconut butter mochi which was delicious (made by a third party but for sale at the shop). It does feel like there are surcharges for everything (salad, ahi tuna, avocado, etc.), but that being said, the poke bowl was delicious and still well-priced for the amount of food you get. Poke Fix is an entirely take-away spot - there are no tables inside or outside. read more

Waikiki restaurants come and go, especially affordable ones for lunch. Poke Fix has been around for a while and is a favorite of my other half. I finally tried it myself as I had a craving for fresh poke while walking around Waikiki at lunch. It's tucked in one of the back alleys, close to the Ross on Seaside. It's easy to walk here, but if driving the alley has space to park for 5-10 minutes needed to get takeout. Prices are depending on what fish and freshness level you choose - fresh ahi is market price but worth it. You choose your rice, fish, and lots of toppings. Certain things have an up charge, but otherwise everything is included. They have a few drinks to choose from too. Local, be sure to ask for kama'aina discount as they honor it. My poke bowl was fresh and delicious; plus it looked beautiful too. I'll be making this a regular stop! read more
