Poke bowl with spicy tuna and Hawaiian style ahi

Amazing customer service and some of the best poke I've had in Hawaii!! This is a must visit spot in Waikiki

Hamachi/yellowtail poke on the side (Dec 2025)
Alan G.

Visiting again in Honolulu, we made sure to make a beeline to Poke Fix which is located near the Hyatt Centric hotel and the Stix mall in Waikiki. Their storefront may be modest-sized but brings big flavors through their poke bowls! The service is friendly and efficient, with ready takeout and also a few tables outside if you want to eat right away. Choose your poke bowls with 1 or 2 scoops of their different poke selections over hot rice, along with sides. We love Poke Fix because their poke choices are consistently high quality, fresh, and delicious flavor combinations. The rice is also good quality, and the side choices are also consistently tasty. You can also pay for additional poke on the side, which I encourage to enjoy all of their different daily selections. On the day we went, we enjoyed their spicy ahi, Hawaiian style ahi with shoyu and limu, and a side of lightly seasoned hamachi/yellowtail. All 3 poke's were just superb. Also recommend coming early as they often run out because of their popularity! Looking forward to returning the next time we are in O'ahu :-)

Found this place on yelp when I was looking for a place to eat for lunch and it did not disappoint. They have catch of the day which was hamachi with yuzu sauce. I got the Hamachi with yuzu sauce and shoyu ahi over sushi rice. You also get to pick three toppings of your choice. They have unique topping such as spicy takuan and kimchi. It wasn't the price of your side, but it was a very delicious bowl. I will definitely come back.

Poke with signature tuna and salmon

Super dope spot located in a great location in the heart of Waikiki. Just one block from the main strip. I got a poke bowl with their signature tuna and salmon. The fish was so fresh and that signature tuna is a must try for sure. The place is small with only a few tables outside to sit n eat. But you're so close to the beaches anyways it's better to take it to go! The owner, Scott was super cool and welcoming. Came back a second time five minutes before closing and he remembered me from a few days prior. Highly recommend!

2 choice bowl with half rice half salad - salmon and ahi tuna

This place is kind of hidden and there is absolutely no seating. Its grab and go only. However the poke is very good and the service was very nice. They have lots of options for protein and lots of variety of toppings. Everything was fresh and great portions for everything! Definitely a good place for grab and go poke.

Honestly my favorite poke spot here! Even with all the amazing options here, I enjoyed Poke Fix for the best overall bowl, balanced between fish and toppings. Small shop with no seating but taking a bowl to the beach or nearby food court is a great option. Salmon, spicy ahi, crab salad, and seaweed salad. I was also asked if I've been here before because that's their most popular order, not sure if it was just the fish selection (king salmon and spicy ahi) or if the toppings were also the most chosen.

My favorite poke place ever. It's a must anytime you're in Waikiki. Cucumber kimchi is the best and the head dishwasher is extremely hilarious. The daily special is always a good try but honestly you can't go wrong with any of their choices.

Poke Fix Hawaii popped up as "Top Rated" on my Google Maps, and naturally, we took that as a sign from the foodie gods that we had to go. Spoiler: it did not disappoint. Right when you walk in, there's a sign letting you know there's no seating inside, but you can ask the guy at the counter for nearby seating options -- a helpful little hack for those of us who like eating poké without squatting on a curb. The guy who served us was super chill and friendly. We got one of the tuna + salmon bowls (details are fuzzy because I was too excited to eat), and while it was supposed to be one scoop of one protein, he let us mix both into a single scoop -- legendary move. The fish? Fresh and flavorful. We paired it with salad, cucumber, and kimchi, and the combo was chef's kiss. The bowl was on the smaller side for $14, but it was actually pretty filling -- and honestly, that quality of fish made it totally worth it. 5/5 all the way. Definitely add this to your poke pilgrimage if you're in town.

Large bowl with spicy ahi and spicy ahi mayo
Tina D.

The large bowl is pictured which is 2 proteins. We picked spicy ahi and spicy ahi mayo. Well dressed and comes with 3 toppings (we picked seaweed salad, edamame and krab salad). Overall good quality fish and dressed well. Some of the fish is market price even though it says a large bowl is $18 so this bowl came out to be $25. That was a bit of a shock and I think could have been explained better. Also wish you get a little more fish in the bowl to balance with the amount of rice. Otherwise flavorful and fresh.

Shoyu Salmon + Ahi
Rochelle G.

Amazing. Couldn't even wait to finish my bowl to write a review. Salmon & ahi so fresh, with a super tasty shoyu marinade. The pickled garlic was a novelty topping for me that was well worth it, crunchy little treat. Friendly service too. Best lunch !!

Bes Poké lease make sure to try their pickled relish amazing. The owner of the front is very friendly and great portions.

Do you have poke made with tamari instead of soy sauce? I have a gluten allergy and can't have soy sauce so finding poke that is gluten free is challenging.

Unfortunately, we do not carry tamari. However, we have a gluten free poke which is our Hawaiian Style Ahi. This is a traditional way we do poke in Hawaii. Focuses on the fresh Hawaiian ahi (tuna), no sauce. Includes local ingredients, Hawaiian…

Do you serve brown rice?

Unfortunately, we dont. We serve sushi rice or salad (romaine hearts)

They occasionally offer salmon as well! Obviously the dining ambiance is prolly the downside as it's a simple outdoor patio in front of the venue, but hey it does the job! We got their combo of Wasabi Ahi and Spicy Salmon, both of which we really love. I might like the sauce from the other well known place tad better, but would say this one was certainly delectable!

It had great flavor without overpowering the freshness of the fish. - The wasabi ahi was also good, but be prepared for a strong wasabi kick that definitely clears your sinuses. - I also tried the Hawaiian ahi, which was a little too mild for my taste. - The miso tako ended up being my least favorite because it leaned much sweeter than I expected. Next time I'd probably go with the shoyu instead since I was looking for a bit more flavor. One thing they absolutely get right is the fish itself. It's incredibly fresh, buttery, and almost melt in your mouth tender. Compared to other well-known poke spots, I actually preferred the quality and flavor of the fish here. The only reason I'm taking off one star is the rice. They use regular jasmine rice, and I really think sushi rice would make a huge difference. Since poke is essentially fish and rice, the rice should complement the fish instead of feeling like an afterthought. Service was quick and straightforward. You tell them what you want, they build your bowl, you pay, and you're on your way. The shop itself is very small with no indoor seating, just a couple of outdoor tables, so I'd consider this more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to dine in. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the freshness of the fish alone. With sushi rice, this place would be even better.

As fast as I could state my order (1: size, 2: base, 3: poke), I tapped to pay, and they were handing me my food with a friendly "mahalo" that also translates to, "there are hungry diners behind you in line." I liked that there was a condiment bar at the end to add any toppings you wanted. The fish was fresh and well seasoned, with no fishiness at all. I just wished there was a bit more white onion for crunch, but it was good regardless. The Fish and Chips were really good. The fish was super crispy, the meat was firm, and the fries were nicely fried. The tartar sauce or maybe more of a lemony aioli, was the star. It wasn't your usual tartar sauce; it had a homemade lemony sweetness that made it delicious. My only complaint was that the batter came off the fish pretty easily, which made it a bit tricky to eat at times.
