Not sure who the employee was working today at 3:40pm on 4/15 but my boyfriend and I went here and didn't even order after how terrible of a customer service experience we had. We walked in and were the only two people in there and the one employee had both his AirPods in so I had to keep saying "hello" to grab his attention. Once I did, he didn't say a word and just blankly stared at me then shook his head in the manner as if I was bugging him and wanted to know why I was there lol. This confused me and so at first I thought maybe I missed the hours of operation sign and maybe I came in at closing and that's why this man was being a jerk. I politely said "sorry, you guys are still open right" and he then kept staring and finally shook his head yes and literally rolled his eyes. At that point I knew I no longer wanted food here and we left. Aw shucks, I hate to be writing this. This used to be my favorite poke place but it seems they've made some changes. For one, they hiked the prices. I get it with inflation and all that. However, on top of charging more, they limit you on the number of toppings now. Whaaaaat?! I also noticed some quality and taste changes. I typically get more-or-less the same bowl. Was in the area and decided to visit this Poke spot. The location is in a nice walkable area with Roosevelt square across the street. Inside the store, the toppings and fixings are laid out well with names of each item which I appreciate. The staff was very friendly and greeted us when we walked in. I got two fish and I would say the portions are definitely smaller for the price but the fish is definitely fresh. All the toppings were fresh as well and gave us a good amount. The taste I would say is similar to 45th Stop n Shop but I still prefer them. There is limited indoor seating. If you are in the area, I would recommend them. read more

Decent poke bowls. Definitely "mainland poke," but I probably wouldn't mind ordering from them again since they give you good proportions. They give you a pretty good amount of fish; more than some other poke bowl places. Unfortunately, the poke didn't taste legit -- more like unseasoned sashimi, regardless of the various sauces I ordered with it. At least the fish tasted fresh. They have lots of free sides and toppings that you can order with your bowl. All of them tasted pretty fresh, and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that they had spicy cod roe (mentaiko), one of my favorite foods. I'm not a fan of their plastic packaging. (Not just to be environmentally friendly.) The poke bowl sure looks nice when you get it, but the tall-and-narrow plastic bowl makes it hard for you to dig your chopsticks to the bottom. This forces you to eat most of the toppings first and you're left with plain greens or rice underneath. (I imagine it is even harder using a fork.) I also managed to cut one finger on the plastic cover. Can you also believe that they don't charge for avocado slices here? They only give you a few slices, but it's still worth it. The slices of Ahi Tuna and Salmon were thick, fat chunks. The Ahi Tuna was okay, BUT the Salmon. Oh my lords, it was so fresh and fatty. The small was actually pretty huge, and they give you a really good portion on everything. So, it is worth the price. This Poki place just happened to be less than two blocks away from me and had good reviews so I decided to try it out. Being from San Francisco and having so many good Poki places around, i wanted to see what my new hood in Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood had to offer. First off, portions here are HUGE and thier "scoop" of protein is nearly double those of other places i've tried. The 2 scoop medium sized was more than enough and i was given the choice to add more crab salad as a topping if i wanted. I went with two scoops salmon and two tuna. The prices are reasonable about $12 and if you get it with brown rice it can easily make two meals or you can split it. Service was friendly and the quality seemed very fresh. The only thing i wish they offered were shrimp and a spicy crab salad. I would definitely head back! read more

They have all of the standard mix ins that all the poke places have these days: crab mix, edamame, corn and other veggies. The poke was fine - nothing that blew me away. I don't get how people can say the fish in their poke was so "fresh". It's not sashimi... it's small chopped up pieces of fish. The only nit I have with the poke was that they are a kinda stingy on the portions... like the scoop of fish that they added seemed reaaally light. And then on the toppings I had to say "can I get a little more" for each one. The best thing about our meal was the dessert. I got the cereal bingsoo (just bc id never seen that before) and my wife got the green tea one. Both were great! I would say 1 small order is enough to share for 2 people, but we wanted to try the options. All in all, perfectly good poke! This is by far one of the best poke places in Washington! The fish is so fresh and they have very unique selections beyond your standard choices of tuna and salmon. You first choose the two types of fish you want (you can pick the same and get double the amount of your fav fish). After selecting your poke protein, you finish it off by unlimited topping choices of seaweed salad, pickled ginger, crab salad, edamame, corn, and etc! Avocados cost a little extra, but definitely worth adding. I believe they have 5 selections of sauces you can top off. I recommend you take the time to try all of them, they have more of them near the utensils/condiments station. I got the soy based one (ponzu) I believe? Absolutely delicious. Their bingsu (korean dessert) is super refreshing and great way to finish off the meal. I got the strawberry one and it's a very light dessert but will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. Got to be honest- the fish here is so good. Definitely lives up to its name. As a college student, its hard to find delicious AND CHEAP poke, but this place gives you the best of both worlds. The small is only $9.50 and the quantity is HUGE. The workers are so generous and even gave my friend and I extra scoops. I got the white rice base with salmon. The House Ahi sauce is my favorite. You can get all the toppings you want for free (except avocado). For dessert, I got a small cereal/Oreo bingsu ($6) which was more than enough for me and my friend to share. So excited to try the first poke/bingsu (korean shaved snow) place in Roosevelt. This place lives up to its name with fresh toppings and plenty of fresh proteins to choose from. I got the salmon and the albacore - both super tender and tasty. They have small, medium and large bowls - don't be fooled even the small was very filling and the prices are fair. We tried the Oreo bingsu: presentation and taste was spot on - definitely the highlight of the meal. The shaved ice was super soft and sweet (no chunky ice bites) and generously covered with Oreos and condensed milk. You should've seen my boyfriend's face - it was love at first bite. The atmosphere is cool and casual - love variation in seating here- there's bar seating by the windows to watch the busy Roosevelt Way go by or plenty of more private two seaters and huge tables for big, rowdy crews. My only tiny compliant was that the music was so loud, I had trouble hearing the staff and letting them know my order. The biggest thing that stands out from all the other poke places in Seattle - the service and friendliness of the staff were amazing. Came here solely for dessert and it did not disappoint! My friend and I split a small cereal/strawberry bingsu and it was both filling and delicious. The "shaved ice" was extremely light and fluffy, and the cereal topping added the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness. My only complaint would be that the bingsu itself didn't have that much taste, but seeing as it is made from just milk, it is somewhat expected. Two of my other friends split a large cereal/oreo bingsu and it was huge!! Honestly, I think the small is very filling for two people and has a better ratio of toppings-to-shaved-ice so I think that's definitely the way to go. The place itself is very well lit and clean. I like the open space and the customer service was friendly. If you order a poke bowl, they will give you $2 in "bit-fish" which is essentially two dollars off your next purchase -- which could be used towards the bingsu as a post-dinner dessert! It took a while for us to get our dessert after ordering it, but I think it's definitely worth the wait. Definitely will be returning and will hopefully try the poke next time. read more
