If you are in the downtown area, Poke Ichii is one of those places that you have to try. They are conveniently located right next to the Golden 1 arena and offer a variety of poke combinations. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. They take their time to explain the ingredients and what are some popular choices. Food is always fresh and delicious. There are a vast variety of fish and seafood choices. Restaurant is located on the second floor and they have a few spots to sit inside and outside seating is also available. Overall a great place to grab a quick meal. The only small downside are the prices. They are not really budget friendly. On my last trip I ordered the 5 protein poke bowl and got a small bottle of mineral water the total was $28 and some change but once in a while, it's worth it! read more

Ok this place converted me to a poke bowl fan. I never had one before and came here for lunch. The service was fast, nice, for young people working at a "fast food" restaurant. It's refreshing, really. The regular poke bowl is the most bang for your buck in doco that I've ever had. They really have great options and don't skimp on the portions. It's a true cup of salad, they let you have 3 sauces, green onion, onion, and cilantro is not a part of the topping you get with your bowl, and the meat selection is fresh. I tried a place in natomas that was not it! Their habanero sauce is perfect for spice lovers like me. I love this place . This is a quick place to grab a great bite. The workers here are awesome. Friendly and they are not stingy with their portions. I like the variety of proteins and toppings they offer, as well as their newer options for spam and chicken teriyaki bowl. They also don't charge extra for crab salad which I haven't seen anywhere else. I do wish the fish was a little more fresh. They have my favorite spam musubi in the area. Overall, an okay poke spot. Portion sizes are decent and ingredients are tasty. However, the fish (I had salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna) doesn't taste super fresh, which is the factor that makes or break a good poke bowl for me. I walked over to Poke Ichii for lunch and they were pretty busy! There were four guys in front of me the service was friendly and quick! I had their 3 protein bowl and it was huge. I watched the gal scoop my tuna and salmon and the portions were generous, more so than other poke spots. The sauces were all tasty, but they do mix it in with the rice and the fish. I wish they had just left the rice alone, so I'll probably have to ask that next time. Topping selections are pretty much the same as other locations. However, their crab mix tasted fresher than others. My bowl was about $16, comparable to other prices, but it was a hefty bowl. I think their portions and prices are much more reasonable and worth-it than other poke spots. I ate a quarter of my bowl and was so full. I'll def walk back over for lunch soon! read more

Stopped here for a quick dinner before the Journey concert last night. It's right outside the Golden 1 center, so location is optimal if you want something fast casual before your event. You can choose from pre-set poke bowls, create your own poke bowls, or poke bakes! They have poke nachos as well but this wasn't available when I went. I think they were out of wonton chips or something. I opted to create my own bowl so I could fill it with all the things I like! Regular sized bowls are the smallest and you get 3 protein choices. I felt like the serving size of the poke was spot on for the price. I finished my bowl and still had fish with every bite. They had a plethora of sides/toppings that were included. I think the only add on that cost was avocado, but we all know that's extra! They were really generous with their scoops of the seaweed salad (yum) and the crab salad (also yum). They also have furikake and fried onions to top your bowl with but it was kind of hidden so make sure you ask if you don't see it! Those are a must! They have a lot of sauces to choose from. I went with house sauce (employee described it as spicy, sweet, a little citrusy - accurate) and spicy mayo. This was a perfect spice level and sweetness for me and it was able to coat my sushi rice/salad perfectly even though I didn't mix my whole bowl up before eating. My friend chose one of their pre set bowls and it had waaaaaay too much wasabi. He had a hard time enjoying it lol But that's the cost of convenience! You have to spend the time creating your perfect bowl of poke, otherwise you'll end up suffering like him! His mom went for the poke bake with salmon and shared it with him as well. They both said it was really good, but I feel like a poke bake should be served with roasted seaweed or wonton chips for texture.. otherwise that soft mouth feel gets old real quick. Nonetheless, I like that this is an option since it's hard to find sushi bakes rn, unless you make it yourself! The inside is super small with minimal seating. The area where you order is also really small so I can imagine it being hectic if they are busy. Last Friday I finally stopped in to try this poke place I've had on my radar for awhile now. I ordered the regular Poke Bowl which comes with 3 scoops of protein and your toppings of choice. I stumbled upon their poke bake item and was sold! Can't go wrong w baked salmon with crab on rice! Only thing really missing is a side of seaweed, but that's just my opinion. Ended up ordering wonton chips to eat with it! I feel like the poke bake skimped on the salmon! I think I got a total of like 3 poke sized cubes. My go-to poke place (Make Fish) in downtown closed recently. I was on a mission to find a new poke place in downtown for lunch and I think I found it! Poke Ichii is located on the 2nd level of DOCO. Next to Rare Tea and across from Panda Express. I love that I can do half and half base for the sushi bowl. I can always use more greens/veggies. I had the regular, which is 3 scoops of proteins (spicy tuna, salmon and octopus). There are many protein options, including tofu. All very fresh! They have a variety of sauces (ponzu, house, spicy mayo, etc.) I liked that the spicy mayo was not too spicy, it was perfect and to my liking. The best part is the toppings! They have all my favorites! Fresh mangoes, sunomono, cucumbers, masago, haberno massgo, crab salads, etc.) I was a happy girl! The only negative is that it was pricey! It was about $15 for the poke bowl. I typically pay about $11 at Make Fish, but it's understandable because of the prime location. Nevertheless, I will be back again. read more

It was a delicious medley of flavors worth repeating! The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the crab salad I sampled from a friend's bowl. This is one of those places I walked by and didn't know it was just that good cuz I was judging it. . So we originally went to go get pizza with some friends and then I'm like this is when I don't feel like pizza and came to this place instead. . So I ordered the 3 proteins which I chose tuna, salmon, spicy scallop. I chose garlic shoyu and Wasabi shoyu for the sauces. So yea after that long list, the flavors was bursting in the mouth with sweet, savory, spicy, and hearty and just pure delicious flavors. The texture was crunch, munch, soft, ooey gooey, popping and fun! If you love poke you know what I mean. . Presentation was nice and colorful and makes you happy just looking at it. . The price of it was like 15 bucks because 1 dollar extra from the avocado cuz im extra. So yea normal price be like 14 something. Anyways totally worth it. . The portion of it can feed 2 people and definitely fill us up during lunch time. For one person might be alot, but hey snack in the afternoon if that works. .
