I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here! I had been planning a dessert lunch at Spoonful, with which PokeMunch shares a space. However, upon seeing their appetizers, I decided some tofu fries were a great way to add some tasty protein to my otherwise sugary meal. They had a fairly thick, and perfectly crispy, coating with toasted sesame seeds. They were so different than the delicate, thinly battered tofu fries from Oriental Spoon. So good! (For the record, they're FABULOUS at both places--just different!) :) I look forward to coming back and trying PokeMunch's mushroom dumplings. What a great place for omnivores and vegetarians to eat together!

Poke Munch literally hits 5-stars for everything about it. Legitimately, not an ounce of over-statement or praise! BUT! The BEST THING, and why I keep returning is because from week one, when I had first eaten at Poke Munch in Edwardsville, I finished my meal with satisfaction and delight because it is a food genre we don't have here in Edwardsville and I love all kinds of food. After eating, I went to the owner, and gave my compliments and then said "please please please do not change a thing about what you're doing, because it is fantastic!!" (we've all experienced a lot of restaurants start off with a big bang and are impressive and the food is fresh and it's abundant in portion, and the service is friendly, but then that starts to diminish overtime). NOT THE CASE HERE! Thank you Poke Munch in Edwardsville for bringing back, high quality fresh ingredients, integrity, value, and a pleasant experience with food!! They are operating and presenting food EXACTLY as they did from the very start, and THAT gets incredible respect and praise from me ! I confidently and ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend this eatery !

Excellent place for a quick lunch or dinner. Ingredients are fresh, service is friendly and very efficient, restaurant is very well maintained and clean. I had Build Your Own Bowl with ahi tuna and spicy tuna on the bed of mixed greens with cucumbers, scallions, mango, edamame, avocado, seaweed salad and shiitake mushrooms with wasabi honey mayo sauce. It was delicious and refreshing. Just perfect for a hot summer day. I highly recommend!

Our first time here won't be our last! The incredible human who welcomed us was quick and cheerfully ready to explain what everything on the menu consisted of! He even went through what each of their sauces was like as well! The bowls we ended up getting were delicious and we can not wait to go back to try more menu items!

What a delicious bowl!! This newly opened poke spot impressed us on so many levels. Coming from the Los Angeles area where poké is plenty, we've tried quite a few so the bar always feels high. Even in LA places get lazy and cut corners on ingredients like using old fish or even down to the mayo brand they use in the spicy mayo. This place was not like that at all. Presentation was great, the array of homemade sauce flavors were high quality, the balance of mix ins and protein was fairly proportioned. They don't have masago(orange fish eggs) or furikake (flavorful seaweed seasoning) yet but the bowl held its ground without them. If you want a little more rice to absorb the sauces you can ask for that. My favorite part was their spicy tuna. You think of it sometimes as one of the most basic part of poke bowl, so it doesn't always stand out. This one felt special flavor-wise and texture wise. It was jam packed with the perfect touch of flavor and I took a bite and had to turn around to the owners and yell across the room "this is good!" They are just 3 weeks young and already humbly killing it food quality-wise. There's alot more decor and aesthetic additions they said they are working on but as is, the place feels clean and bright and comfortable. The owners are super welcoming, nice and excited to be bringing poké bowls to the area. They are worth giving business to and if you've never tried poké, this is a great place to start to fall in love with it. Try this place today! :)

RUN... don't walk. This place is delicious, I'm so happy Edwardsville got a place like this. Fresh ingredients, great menu options, and even the option to build your own which is great! While their Poke bowls are amazing please try the chicken as well, it's crispy & so tasty.

Very happy to try Poke Munch for the first time- it did not disappoint!! I had a custom bowl with brown rice, avocado, and plenty of veggies and sauce. Everything complemented and worked together- fantastic!! It tasted very fresh, healthy, and was the perfect dinner bowl for a 70° spring day.

Take out from Poke Munch in Edwardsville.

I would like to preface this review by saying that I lived in Hawaii for five years. I have always been a plate lunch enthusiast. I was happy to see that Buzz's menu offers everything you could want to make a delicious meal reminiscent of the islands. Traditionally, plate lunch includes two scoops of rice, a scoop of mac salad, and a protein. Sticky sweet teriyaki sauce on chicken or steak, or crispy chicken katsu, or maybe Kalua pork are all good options. I went with the kalbi ribs and garlic shrimp. The kalbi was done well. The garlic shrimp missed the mark for me. In fairness, my frame of reference is Giovanni's shrimp truck on the North Shore of Hawaii. This shrimp was dry and was missing the garlic butter sauce. We also tried the lumpia, manapua, kalua sandwich, and an order of loaded fries. This is just a small portion of their amazing menu. I'm confident there is something for everyone. My favorite part of the meal were the signature Dole Whip. I was momentarily transported back to the Dole pineapple plantation! If you're more adventurous the lilikoi are absolutely amazing!! The perfect sweet little treat.

A Hawaiian spot not serving fake mainland poke, but plate lunch type stuff. And serving actual island-style poke??? It sounded too good to be true. We put in a big order, then walked over to pick it up. It took some time, but I understand it was a big order near the end of the day so my friend and I were happy to wait. My wife and I had to get the poke with rice and Mac salad, and it turned out really good! Maybe not as good as the poke from Hawaii (obviously) or Seattle, but still something I would order again if I was in the area. However, my friend's items were not as good. I'm reviewing from my experience, but the beef items they got were overcooked, and the musubi had a terrible rice to meat ratio. Also they had tocino musubi on the menu which got us excited, but it turned out to be just the tocino flavored Spam and not actual tocino. I think they also forgot an item, but it was too much hassle for us to try to hash it out since it was already late. So I'll give a good review because my wife and I liked what we got, but definitely do some research if. you come here yourself.

Like if you'd let me talk, I could probably answer your next question. Also he said to pull up to the next window and have payment ready before you get there... how am I supposed to do that while driving...? Their menu is pretty misleading as I got the lunch plate but it was way smaller than I was expecting because the picture next to the words lunch plate on the menu was of a bigger box. This was half the size I was expecting. The chicken itself was actually pretty good but their Mac and cheese missed many marks. Very bland and tasteless while also tasting awful. The side of seasoned vegetables is such a great idea to get more nutritious with this meal but it was also very bland and tasteless and the vegetables themselves seemed cooked to all hell and have pretty much lost all color from being cooked so much. A few specks of pepper and that's pretty much all you can taste. Not to mention the rice was just caked in sauce so it was one big glob on the bottom of the box.... Honestly just wasted my last 20$ of cash but at least my dogs will eat it. Furthermore, the "lunch" sized box that the meal comes in is the same size box you put a hotdog in if that gives anybody a sense of just how small this 14$ meal was. Overall, the chicken is good, but you might just need to bring that home and make something else to go with it as the sides are not worth the money.

My favorite go-to is the Avocaloco Bowl with extra sweet chili sauce. The flavors pull through with the rice like a special pairing. I go there often and they know my order as I walk in, and my name. Great customer service!! If you eat in, the place is small. Try to get there in the off rush hour and you will almost be assured of a seat. The area is clean and well kept. The cool thing about this location is they have a drive through park and pick up area in front of the restaurant. If it's full, it's a short walk from the parking garage directly behind the building. The portion size was great, but I found the chicken and the rice to be a bit dry. Maybe I'll try it next time with raw fish!!
