Nice little shop. Not many places to sit and eat, so consider take away as an option. Fish is nice and fresh. Tastes very good Good service, goodies available in shop as well. Healthy Smoothy shop next door belongs to the same owner and matches the food perfectly.

Mine is crack'n sauce and spicy ahi. The other one is shoyu and crack'n sauce. Big portion, but flavor just ok.

Not a big fan personally. I had high expectations since Ry's gets a lot of love (more power to them, happy for you guys), but wasn't my favorite. Got the 2-choice bowl with spicy ahi and crack'n sauce ahi. It was fine, but nothing special. The spicy ahi flavor reminded me of what you can get from the supermarket, but to be fair, in Hawaii our supermarkets have great poke. The crack'n sauce poke was ok, a little salty after eating more of it. The sauce itself is fire! I've had it before on meat or burritos or steak and it's super good. Maybe it just doesn't match sashimi as much as it does red meats. We tried the shoyu ahi too. It was ok, nothing special either, what you'd expect from a typical shoyu ahi. I think the part that's missing is sushi rice--really makes a big difference when eating poke. They only have regular rice. That's probably my biggest suggestion to them. Two orders of 2-choice poke bowls came out to around $51, which is steep but that's the going rate nowadays. What I loved was their portion size, super generous! We opened our bento boxes and was surprised how much they gave! Was like 2 poke bowls in one! Place is super clean, they get like 4-5 tables in there for seating. Get AC too! Parking lot is small and usually full, but get plenty around the area like street parking or at Ala Moana. Overall it was not bad, not great, probably won't be going back, but thank you for the lunch! My favorite is still Ali'i Fish Market. But to each their own! I know us locals are super loyal to our fav spot haha.

Food was really good, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was welcoming. While I know they use fresh, locally sourced fish, I did feel the prices were a bit on the higher side. That said, the poke was incredibly fresh and definitely worth trying. Overall, they serve some Ono poke bowls, and the best part is you don't have to make the drive out to the North Shore, they've got a location right in town. I'd easily put them in my top 5 poke spots on the island. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by. Their unique flavor combinations are unlike anything else you'll find on the island.

Lotsa deliciousness being served up at Ry's Poké Shack on Waimanu St in Kaka'ako..! Located in an enclave of a handful of businesses which share parking with Hangang Restaurant, drive slowly otherwise you might miss the entrance to parking. Thank you Tommy, Thank you Jordan for bringing a taste of Ry's to town! Original located on the Northshore... I never quite got there. Also existing is a branch in Southern California where lines wrap around the the block! Purchased three poké half pound containers. Favorite being the yuzu infused ahi currently being offered as a special flavor this month. Appreciate the friendly service by Kaila. Who helped me navigate the menu with a mere few minutes before they closed. Was happy to see business booming for them as at least a half dozen persons came in after me!

Shiso good... Finally here at Ry's Poke Shack and let me tell you this place was certainly worth the wait though I don't think that I'll wait too long for my next visit cause I need to try my second and third choice as they all sound just so amazing. I've been having mad cravings for poke but not your standard and felt a bit more bougie this shack has it for you either on a bed of nachos style, bowl with rice or salad or just straight up by the pound. I really wanted a bowl but the option to have it on a salad actually was really nice and refreshing along with their sesame dressing oooooo it was gone as soon as I took a pic of it lol got a shoyu poke for mom as she's been craving them too it just looked so fresh and delicious as it was made just right. Although the space is very small they worked it quite well with a few tables for those that just need to get started along with a fun an creative accent wall the whole vibe was very vibrant along with their staff so friendly and helpful with any questions parking though can be though but is free and we all do appreciate the convenience. Poke can be enjoys so many ways and here they also have many variations as well. Thank you!

I finally understand why there's always a line here. The Smoked Ahi Dip was hands down my favorite. It was so creamy, savory, and packed with flavor. Honestly, everything happened so fast because it was that good--I barely stopped to think while eating. Even the smell when they opened the container made me excited to dig in. The wonton chips were super crispy and went perfectly with the dip. The poke was incredibly fresh, and every bite was delicious. I'm so happy this place is right by my house because I know I'll be coming back a lot. Definitely one of my new favorite poke spots!

SashimI Grade Poke is something else...it melts in ya mout! Here are the logistics; -FREE parking (scan QR code inside restaurant) -A few tables inside for seating, small space -Fast, about 5-10 minutes for them to make it You can taste the difference in sashimi grade poke...that's for sure. It's amazing. I got the tsunami poke nachos. They cook their wonton chips in beef tallow for a rich flavor. The cucumbers are pickled so it gives a nice balance of flavor. The crab salad is mean. I love that they included that. Very dynamic flavors on this plate!! I'm very happy they opened one in town cuz Kahuku stay far! I'm only giving it 4 stars because something is missing in the flavor and I can't quite figure out what but it's definitely worth the visit. Little pricey but you'll taste it and understand why :) Jugo Life is next door and makes a mean pairing honestly! Sooooo good. Two stops!

Came here for the first time. Ordered the 2 poke combo with their recommended What's Crack'n sauce poke and the Lao Style poke. We also ordered 1/2lb of their Shiso Chimichurri poke. All the pokes were fresh and full of flavor. I honestly thought the Crack sauce poke was the least favorite of the 3. The Shiso is more of a Korean base poke, and the Lao was a like oyster style poke and spicy too. They are very limited in drinks so if you want to drink something particular, bring your own. Overall, pretty decently priced for the portion and quality that you get. Staff is friendly and fast. Parking is small and horrendous so good luck lol. I would leave your larger vehicles at home. There are very limited tables so prepare to be able to eat outside in your car or drive to the mall or beach. We got lucky to have a table open up for us when our order was ready.

Congratulations on the town location! For townies like me, it's a hard trek out to Kahuku location for Ry's poke. It was my favorite for a while, until I stopped being able to go often. Ry and his wife are always super friendly and have plenty of aloha. Unfortunately, didn't see neither of them this time. Small cozy location next to Jugo life. Parking can get a little difficult depending on the time. Order and they text when it's ready. We got the Tsunami nachos ($23.95), which came with wonton chips fried in beef tallow (yum), tsunami style poke, 2 scoops of crab salad, cucumbers, tobiko, and some spicy mayo sauce, punish, and furikake on top. We shared it, and it was a nice snack between 2 of us for lunch. Fish was very fresh and buttery smooth, however I wish the poke was more flavorful. A downside is that I felt there wasn't as much fish, so the wonton to poke ratio was off. My favorite was the Lao Style poke, which I didn't get this time but that one had so much umami and perfect kick! Would more likely come back again to try some of other Honolulu exclusive flavors.

Located in the same complex as Hang gang Korean restaurant, they do have a small parking lot but the parking fill up fast! This place is popular, packed with customers when I arrived. I order the two choices poke, they call it "Mayjan". The fish is fresh. I tried the spicy and the yuzu wasabi, they both are really good, may be next time I will try the spicy Hawaiian which I told will be more spicy. I do like that the poke is not too salty, actually the taste is kind of mild. Not like you are intaking a lot of soy sauce. I cannot finish the entire lunch, the portion is big, I saved some for dinner. Overall, a very nice poke place. I will go back for sure.

Poke bowl Mayjah 2 choice (Limu & Yuzu wasabi) with crab salad +$2

Amazing poke at Ry's Poke Shack!!! Just had to try RPS after hearing sashimi-grade ahi featured here. We knew it was in Waimanu Street near Ala Moana Center so off we ventured. There's a parking lot with a limited number of stalls. Luckily we got a space after a short wait. We joined a short line of eager customers; great hungry minds think alike lol. This gave us a bit of time to read the menu and consider our choices. We both went for mayjah 2-choice poke bowl, which includes cucumber namasu. Two special flavors that day: shiso chimichurri and yuzu wasabi (I tried this one - it was ono). Poke is made to order. Could not resist adding crab salad +$2, so glad we did. There are 3 tables for dine in, which allowed us to savor our high quality poke bowls and to soak up the RPS vibe. Loved the mural! Many customers in line out the door when we left. Definitely plan to be back to try other flavors!!!

Hot shoyu poke (one choice) over rice with an additional scoop of crab salad

The place was small but super clean. I got the hot shoyu (one choice) with an extra order of crab salad. The poke was fresh but the fish was a bit warm and the hot shoyu sauce didn't cover all of the fish pieces. I know it is made to order but for the lunch rush ... it might be better to make a batch of it so the marinated sauce could sit for a little bit longer. I will definitely come back again and try a different sauce.

I've heard so many great things about this place. I've never been to their Kahuku location, so I was happy when they opened a location in town. I finally got to try it! It's a small shop with four dine in tables. Majority of the people ordered and took their food to go. My hubby got a two choice poke bowl with shoyu and limu $23.95. I also got the two choice bowl with Foodxjitsu ($4 upcharge) and What's Crack'N $27.95. I got a canned Diamond Head soda $2.50. Their bowls come with cucumber namasu. The fish was extremely fresh. They have great flavors. The Foodxjitsu tasted exactly like the ginger onion sauce they serve with ginger onion chicken. The What's Crack'N sauce was like a chimichurri sauce. Both flavors are exclusive to this location. The only problem I had was that they were a little skimpy on the amount of fish that they gave.

Things to know: no place to sit (one outside table with 3 chairs is all they have); no cash, card only; the fish is flown fresh from Japan. Now I don't know if all fish is actually from Japan and how true it is, but I did see some styrofoam shipping containers with US agriculture and US customs tape so I believe it. We ordered the macadamia aburi salmon which was a top tier combination of torched salmon, macadamia and a delicious sauce, and yuzu miso poke with ahi which had tuna so fresh it was just melting in your mouth. I also thought it was priced pretty reasonably compared to other poke places I tried in Waikiki, and portions were not huge but decent with lots of fish.
