K Bay Bros has quickly become one of my favorite poke spots on the island. I was exposed to Kbay bros by a friend of mine so today I decided to hit up the new stadium marketplace location. There is plenty of parking, so unlike a lot of popular lunch spots finding a place to park is one less thing to worry about. I ordered the Spicy Crunch combo, and the first thing that stood out was just how fresh everything tasted. The fish had that clean, buttery texture you hope for when ordering poke, and every bite tasted like it had just been prepared. Please do yourself a favor and get inari bomb with unagi sauce because it absolutely lives up to the hype. It's a cone sushi stuffed with sushi rice and filled with spicy ahi and it is the perfect combination of sweet, savory, and rich. Even with a long line out the door, the employees kept things moving at an impressive pace while still being genuinely friendly and patient with everyone ordering (including tourists). Their poke is actually pretty good but I wish some of their other flavors had more toppings. We ordered 2 choice bowls. The first one was spicy ahi & lava flow and the second was spicy ahi and the dynamite. There wasnt really much difference of the regular spicy ahi. I had high expectations for the dynamite because I was expecting avocado and cucumbers but it lacked that. Another thing I wish they would do is put the description of their choices on the wall, than on paper that you'll only see once its your turn. I've had to let people go in front me because I didnt want to hold up the line. Don't get me wrong though, workers are friendly and service is fast. This is the second location in Stadium Mall, conveniently located between the Chinese restaurant and Stadium BBQ. Parking can get a little busy depending on the time of day, but don't let that stop you from checking this place out. They offer both fresh and pre-frozen poke, and everything I've tried has been consistently fresh and delicious. My go-to orders are the hamachi and rainbow poke with ponzu sauce, the dynamite tako, and the spicy ahi bombs. The flavors are amazing, and the quality of the fish is always on point. The spicy ahi bombs are especially addictive! They also have kulolo and kulolo poke as well as poi. There are so many poke options to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Just keep in mind that there are not any dine-in seating. When you walk in, you'll see refrigerators to the left stocked with spicy ahi bombs, various banchan, and guri which is definitely worth browsing while you wait in line. They do offer gift cards but can only be used at this location. The customer service is amazing. The girls working the counter are always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. I must say they have great poke, fair prices, and excellent service which make this one of my favorite poke spots. I highly recommend it. read more

This is one of our new go-tos. Just got off the plane and drove here as our first stop for our first meal back home. You know it's good when there's the line of locals waiting to grab a poke bowl for lunch. So many flavor options and pretty reasonable prices especially with the cost of poke rising at lots of competitor shops. Got an order of fresh hawaiian ahi and furikake oyster. This is hands down one of the best poke on island. The girls that work here are so sweet and nice and are always smiling and inviting. This definitely adds to the over all poke experience. Was this my first stop after leaving the airport with my wife and three kids? You bet it was. A 4:30 am start to the day and a flight across the large portion of the Pacific Ocean did not deter me from seeking out some raw fish on top of rice. The dynamite ahi and dynamite tako are beautifully flavored. For non spice lovers, the sauce is not spicy at all and is perfectly creamy. Love that there is masago in both pokes! For dessert, we had the kulolo crunch which was the perfect way to wrap up an already delicious meal. Craving some poke, usually just go to Foodland since it's always in in every city but this time I wanted to try something different and had my eye on Kbaybros for a while. Walked in at opening and there were 4 people ahead of me. Ordered two choice previously frozen lava flow ahi and pau hana ahi. Comes with rice with furikake on top. Also ordered spicy ahi bombs and kulolo crunch. Not too sure if I was hungry very hungry but everything was so tasty and flavorful! I love the fridges they have on the side, as you wait you can get your desserts like ice cream, kulolo crunch, kimchi, chili pepper water, spicy ahi bombs, drinks etc. Lava flow taste similar to what spicy ahi would taste like but sweeter with the crunch on top. Pau hana ahi taste as if the ahi was marinated with the same sauce as kimchi mussel. Taste super similar but different texture. Pau hana super saucy, I love it. Kulolo crunch is basically pumpkin crunch but with taro coconut as the middle filling, tasty if you're into pumpkin crunch/kulolo crunch. Service was good and fast despite there being a line. It's always been my dream to eat fresh poké in Hawaii so Kbay Bros Too was our first stop as soon as we landed in Honolulu! After flying all day, my son and I were starving. A friend recommended Kbay Bros Too, and it did not disappoint. We arrived on a Sunday after 2:30 pm and there was no line or wait. I let the kind staff member know it was our first time and she went over all of the options and gave some recommendations. I went with the tuna and rice with furikake while my son went with tuna and another fish (I don't remember what) as well as rice with furikake. The store is casual and meant for to-go, but I wish they had seating because my son and I could barely wait to eat our food. We sat in the car for about ten minutes devouring every last bit of the poké and rice. It was phenomenal! Definitely satisfied our hunger and our craving for poké. read more

The variety of flavors here is amazing. My favorite was the Lava Ahi. It's made with frozen ahi, but it was still really good. They give you the option to choose between fresh and frozen ahi, and while I normally prefer fresh, I tried the frozen ahi here and honestly the sauce is so flavorful that it doesn't even matter that the fish is frozen. Nothing better than eating the best boiled peanuts in the universe and watching your team dominate on the field! I challenge anyone to find a better boiled peanut. They opened a new location in the same complex as Ice Palace. We stopped by on the way home from Pearlridge. We picked up a poke bowl, Kona crab poke and sorbet. Most specialty poke spots only offer fresh fish. This place offers both fresh and previously frozen. We got the two item fresh poke (ahi ginger and spicy) $21.99, a third pound of Kona crab poke $21.99 per pound and a cup of mango sorbet $5. It's from Scoop Scoop HI. The fresh spicy ahi poke was really good. The fresh ahi ginger poke was on the salty side. They also don't offer sushi rice, so we just got white rice. The Kona crab poke was delicious. I wanted to try the Korean marinated crab, but the cashier told me that it's on the spicy side. I can't do spicy. I loved the mango sorbet. It tasted exactly like mango and had tiny bits of fruit in there. read more

Stopped by yesterday for the first time in anticipation trying their poke bowl. We normally go to their Kaneohe location as their poke is amazing, better than Tanioka's. However, I was very disappointed it lacked the flavor and freshness of their Kaneohe store. The Kaneohe store's flavor will blow your mouth away. Prices are reasonable. The store is located in Stadium mall, next the Chinese restaurant. Lots of parking. Can get busy on the weekends when families are at Ice Palace and the Music school, so just be patient. I will continue going to the Kaneohe store to get my poke bowls. Try them out when you're in the area. read more

I'm upset I didn't try this place sooner! The poke is delicious, the selection is good and service is friendly. Was craving poke today and had to figure out somewhere nearby to pickup instead of the usual foodland. The reviews here looked promising. The reviews don't lie. The shop was clean, had a small flow of patrons but I was helped very quickly. The dynamite and spicy ahi were both good and flavorful, I did not feel like the flavors overwhelmed the fish at all. Had it with some of my own seaweed and chips. The price was reasonable for Hawaii. Will be back and highly recommend if you have not tried them out. read more

I Work in Aiea and live in Nu'uanu so we always come here for lunch or before a simple beach day with the fam. Poke flavors are all so Ono! The poke with OPIHI was YUMMY! Didn't know about this place. I was actually at Stadium bbq picking up an order and a guy walked in with poke and I asked where'd he get it from. He said from KBay Bros too. Asked how was it. He said was pretty good. Fresh too! But price is a bit up there. So, decided to take a look see & the only thing I will say... the moment I walked in, i was kinda hoping for that, HI WELCOME! but rather I got "Hi... we're closing in an hour." Heh heh And so, being the person I am, I said: "oh well I guess we made it in time then. THANK YOU for NOT closing earlier." Overall, they had some other things in the coolers and a lot of MIXED poke. I wasn't sure what I wanted to try because they all had air many flavors but it was all similar too. I WAS gonna ask to sample a few because they were gonna close, I didn't want to keep them waiting on me. So I just grabbed the $35 ahi limu w/opihi. Now THAT I could pay money for. I'm simple. I like the poke with limu, inamona, green onion & a little taste of spice. Price was a bit high too. Assuming it's because the fish was fresh. And then it looked pretty fancy with all the toppings in them. I think they'd do well in the mainland. Why? Because it has so much flavors and it drowns out the fish taste. But for me... Parking is free, but seems crowded since it's shared with many other eateries, businesses, and the ice skating rink.. Located between Royal Palace Restaurant and Stadium Giant Malts and Bar-B-Que, Kbay Bros Too is clean, bright, and nicely air-conditioned! Service is very helpful and friendly! We got the Ahi Ophi poke bowl. It was great to have the hot rice separate from the poke so that it doesn't cook the raw ingredients! It was fresh and delicious! We enjoyed the Furikake on the rice! I've been a fan of the Kaneohe shop since they opened so you can imagine my delight when I heard they were opening a second shop in my neighborhood. Nice, clean, new store in Stadium Mall between Royal Kitchen and Stadium Giant Malts & Bbq. For those not familiar with those two stops....Ice Palace should mean something to you. In at 10:30 after a park stop for Sofie. We walked in to an empty store and Missy was suddenly the star of the show....I should get a discount just for letting them gush over my puppy. Always fun to see the faces when they hear she not a puppy but a 10 yr old senior. Anyway I digress, nice to drive down the hill instead for over the H3 for my fix of inari bombs. Got the bombs plus Tako poke and Ahi Masago poke then sped home with my stash . I like they will give you a sample so you can see if it's spicy enough and if not they'll spice it up for you. They sell both previously frozen and fresh poke so depending on your wallet and taste you'll leave a happy customer. The Inari bombs are in a refrigerator case as you walk in, the poke counter runs the length of the store with a great variety of options. Depending on the time of day parking is either open or non existent. Never hurts to bring someone who can drop you off in front or go early like we did. read more

Our friends recommended this place to us. We ordered the salmon opihi, fresh ahi poke, and the garlic tako. We had to ask if they were able to make the salmon opihi poke and they were able to. The salmon opihi was my favorite of the three. It had the right amount of salt that made the flavors of the opihi and salmon come out. We enjoyed all three poke for dinner. Hooray for Kbay Bros in Central Oahu! My brother RAVES about the original Kbay Bros location and I was so excited when I saw one open up closer to home. This shop is located in the Stadium Mall Shopping Center. It's a small shop with fridges for grab and go products like their infamous Inari Bombs, kimchi, and other pickled items. They also sell Scoop Scoop sherbet here! The counter has all their poke offerings. I came in for gift cards and some poke for a family gathering. Their gift cards are only for this location and cannot be used at the original location. There is both fresh and frozen poke offerings. We ended up getting Furikake Oyster & Spicy Ahi. You can't go wrong with spicy ahi! However, I don't like spicy things so the furikake oyster was perfect for me! It does not contact actual oyster rather, and oyster sauce/soy sauce so it's a bit sweet and savory. I hope my brother loves this location as much as the original! I can't wait to try more of their offerings, especially their Inari Bombs! read more

There is no seating inside the poke shop, so it that was fine because I took my food and ate it in my car right from the shop!! Today I got the 2 choice poke bowl. I ordered the Spicy Crunch Combo and the Garlic Scallops. Both options were very delicious and I highly recommend trying! One of the great things in the shop is they allow you to sample a few items. We also grabbed Kim chee cucumber, ho'io salad, lomi oio, and Fresh Spicy Ahi. My sisters also ordered 1 choice poke bowls because you just have to get your own!! Personally the ho'io salad was a bit bland until you add the sauce they provide on the side. The Kim chee cucumber was okay. As for the lomi oio, I did not care for it. To me the lomi oio had a bad fishy taste and I usually love to eat lomi oio. The fresh spicy ahi tastes great, but personally the size of the chunks were way too big.
