Before beginning....this restaurant is open only for TAKE OUT. I was in the area and had a few hours to spare before an appointment so I decided to Google Poke Bowl restaurants and their information came up. Options were DINE IN, take out and delivery. Even though most places are open for dine in, I continue to read this information, and I opted for this location because of this. I found parking, paid for two hours, and walked less than a block away to the restaurant. I walked in and they were open for take out only. I mentioned to the person that took my order that they should update this information on Google. There is a sign on the front window that I saw when I walked out, but either way I placed my order. The food was pretty good however my purpose for choosing this place was to dine in, I ended up eating my food in my truck. Thankfully I didn't make a mess with the sauces. I sat in my truck to deplete the time on the parking meter before finding a trash can, and resuming my day. read more

We decided to try this spot out and it was overall really good! It was semi busy when we got there but were seated immediately. Both of us got poke bowls and the portions were pretty generous for the price. I thought the amount of protein was more than enough and the variety of toppings was good. Not all poke spots offer mango/pineapple so having that made the bowls have an extra freshness to them. Also loved that they had honey wasabi sauce. It was just the perfect amount of heat and sweetness. They did forget to add cucumbers to my bowl so that's a bummer but it was still great nonetheless. read more

My girlfriend decided to treat me for dinner at Poke Zone for dinner and how could I say no? I have heard so much good press around this place and have been constantly wanting to give it a try. After we did a little research on what to order we went in and gave the front desk lady our meals. We both went for the personal three protein bowls and were over encumbered by the huge plethora of options. Our bases were half mixed greens and brown rice I went for a spicy esq bowl which consisted of spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy white tuna, eel sauce, seaweed salad, scallions, poke sauce, spicy Mayo, mango, pineapple, cilantro, jalapeño, cucumber, corn, avocado and most of the crunchies. I definitely forgot something along there but man was this a bowl to look at. When we got to my car to dig in I was impressed by the presentation despite it being so many elements in this dish. I was blown away by the freshness and level of complexity with each bite having so many different flavors. Each bite was as satisfying as the last and was on a perfect spice level for me. I was left extremely satisfied and full with not having anything poor to say about my dish. I highly recommend this place for a fresh and balanced meal for those who loves Japanese cuisine. My wife and I visited here during the grand opening. We both got a 3 scoop poke bowls. I've eaten a lot of poke as I work frequently in the West coast and it is very prevelant there. This is very solid poke with very fresh and nice quality ingredients. For the reviews that say that the portions are limited, they're wrong. Every other poke restaurant I've been to uses the identical sized scoops but almost all of them actually end up weighing the protein and I feel like I actually got a little bit larger portion then what most restaurants would give. Since we had visited during the 15% off grand opening time frame, both myself and my wife received the discount. My wife had never had it and ended up absolutely loving it. This is a great little addition to Ridgewood which has way too many restaurants pushing very similar food with some of exceptions. If you've never had poke it's basically deconstructed sushi. I would say that a three scoop protein poke bowl is the equivalent of 2 special rolls at a sushi restaurant. If you look at the cost difference that means poke is about half price. read more

I would give it more of a 3.5 but my boyfriend and I went here earlier today to try out the new place. He was craving sushi, and since I don't eat fish, I got a ramen bowl. Last time I got a ramen bowl, it was at Tori's around the corner and it had a hair in it. Food arrived, we were both excited. My boyfriend said the sushi was pretty good and the volcano rolls were pretty cool. My ramen was bland, I had to add more soy sauce and salt. Halfway through the ramen, I find a piece of plastic in it. Being in the food business, I didn't freak out because I assumed...hoped....it was from the seaweed packaging, but they should definitely double check before placing the items in the bowl, Bc that definitely was not pleasant and I guess ramen just isn't for me since both times something foreign was in my bowls‍ read more

Its different then what you are used to at a poke spot. They sushi was fresh tasted great. Its table service so as you build it the waiter puts it all together for you. One thing I wasnt used to was how they prepped the sushi in your bowl. Its was like minced which I kinda liked. You were able to get more bites with your other toppings. The rock shrimp appetizer was lights out and they serve bubble tea. Better then that stuff they serve in the mall. I will be back and bringing some more friends. If you aren't a sushi fan you can put shrimp or chicken in your bowl which made my wife happy. If you are a poke fanatic you will be happy and if you want a roll the fantastic roll was outstanding. read more

If you appreciate sushi, this is not the place for you. To begin with, bowls have no flavor. The bowls that do are loaded with shredded fake crabmeat & spicy mayo. Protein sizes are subpar. The quality of the fish is dry and chewy. To boost the appearance, they load the bowls with Lima beans and tomato's (which makes no sense because bowls like the "Ocean Bowl" have a ton of tomato's. Tomato's are from the ocean?). If you're a 17 yr old with no taste palate and your parents credit card, then this place is great for you! read more

We came for the first time for lunch, very clran looking small restaurant. Bright and staff extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. We had the salmon skin salad for starter which was very good. We also had the spicy crab salad which was OK. I had the avocado smoothie for the first time, it was good - not too sweet. Ordered a custom poke on salad. The ingredients were fresh, tasty and fun to create. In addition since we ordered more than $30.00, we we're offered a roll excluding 2 from the menu. This maybe as a thank you as they are new but hope they continue to reward us for visiting. Sushi was good and fresh as well. A slight difference from typical sushi restaurants and fun to customize. But over the past year they have increased their prices (totally reasonable given the pandemic) but they have also decreased the portion sizes, especially the fish in the poke bowls. We are weekly (sometimes twice weekly) customers of Poke Zone. Their online ordering is so easy (only thing that would make it better would be if you could just re-order your previous orders. Kids love the gyoza, shumai, milk tea and ramen. Hubs and I like to brag about how healthy we are being when we make our own poke bowl with all the healthy things uet it's way too delicious to REALLY be healthy. Yum yum yum! read more

I like this place a lot. It's very consistent and the inside is actually pretty cute for a quick bite instead of a pickup order. We have yet to dine in house so I'll keep you posted on service. Otherwise, the food here is very fresh. I love that you can build your own bowl and they really give you solid serving sizes of their fresh ingredients. I do think there's tiny room to improve that would make this place over the top for me. I think they should have some details on their sauces and toppings. For example, if you build your own bowl, they'll really only give you the names of the sauces. I had to ask for something that was slightly more bright and vinegary than sweet ::shrug:: I don't think most people have the knowledge to understand what some of these things really are. "Yuzu Dressing or Mayo, Poke Sauce, Ponzu Sauce..." these are the ones that could use a fun little blurb. Is it thick and creamy? Am I getting a sweetness or tang? Will this taste like soy sauce? Maybe they could even recommend customer favorite combinations! You get my drift. They've also missed the mark on my sister's online Seamless pickup order (it wasn't what she ordered). I won't fault them on this since it wasn't my order/bill but something to note; check your bowl before leaving with pickup. Otherwise, I'm pretty committed to this place. Super delicious Poke Bowl- yummy salmon, tuna, yellowtail, spicy crab, mango, jalapeño, asparagus, masago, cucumber, avocado, scallion, sesame seeds, pickled ginger with ponzu sauce and Yuzu dressing. After seeing multiple mouthwatering pictures from Poke Zone, I could not wait to give it a try. I placed an order for pick up and could not believe all of the options to choose from. I decided on a three protein bowl and my husband got an ocean bowl. There were so many topping choices I had trouble picking! We were impressed with the large size of the portions. Although I did enjoy the food, I found the bowl somewhat difficult to eat with all of the layers. I actually had to dump it into a separate bowl to mix around a little bit. Wow, just had the most frustrating experience relating to their service. I went to get a poke bowl for takeout. The restaurant was extremely busy with kids after their first day of school, so I understood when not one of the servers or behind-the-counter staff greeted me. I stood in front of the counter for awhile waiting to order (it was my first time there and I may have been standing in the wrong place) and was still not acknowledged. Then I moved towards the cash register where the cashier scowled and ignored me. After another long stretch of waiting without being acknowledged, I left. Please Poke Zone, teach your staff the common rules of customer service...a simple "Sorry, we'll be with you in a moment" would have made all the difference in the world. Fresh fish and food with a cute inside and prompt service. The portions were incredibly generous and I felt satiated after. The servers were kind and helpful and the prices were very reasonable. updated review: dined in today service was great, the food did not disappoint and im glad i came back to give it another try. cant wait to come back!!!! i will return to dine in and re-evaluate my review. i ordered volcano roll and almond boba with less sugar to go. the roll was delicious and all the food on their menu 'looks just like the pictures' in their menu. the boba was good but when i said less sugar they interpreted that wrong and it tasted like water. the almond flavor was weak sauce. u cant charge $5 for a subpar boba tea, there is the village tea shop right down the road. so i wouldve given a 4 star review but when i walked in the gentleman behind the counter making sushi was annoyed that i was standing at the register. all i wanted to do was pay and then wait for my food. as i waited they were shouting in chinese which i am chinese and it was chaotic. when 4 middle school gurls came in he cursed at them in chinese and then spoke in english and said some pleasantries. i nearly died laughing but this is a business and just a warning be careful people are listening! i will return again and see if i feel that same chaotic energy. read more
