No bad poke for being no where near the ocean! The workers are very grind and the bowls come out super fast.

Food is cooked upon ordering. Limitless add ons. Loved how the flavor of all of the fresh ingredients complimented each other. Highly recommend.

With all the elements of a Hawaiian poke place, PokeNash brings the west coast to Nashville. PokeNash (Hendersonville) is located in a strip mall close to Home Depot. You walk in to a bright fresh eating/counter area and on nice days can sit outside. Also a great place to get your food to go. Your bowl will be prepared fresh to order and has all the expected options. Tasty and filling, the rice was not quite correct (too dry) and the spicy tuna was mush, which distracted from our enjoyment. The staff was friendly and attentive during our order.

My coworker was eating her bowl and a WHOLE LIVE BUG was in her food! How horrible and disgusting!! Check your food and clean your restaurant! Will never ever recommend!!!

Recently discovered this place and have been back 3-4 times. The food always tastes fresh and the staff is friendly... the food is assembled pretty quick too! My go to: Regular bowl with sushi rice, shrimp, sweet onions, pineapple, green onions, crunch and spicy Mayo. Never fails me. I always add some soy sauce to it too.

Best ahi tuna in the Nashville area. EVERYTHING tastes very fresh. The seasoned fries with yum yum sauce is fantastic.

It's part restaurant and part market, with some fun ingredients to peruse while they put their order together. They even have Spam Musubi, which is a rarity in Nashville! Although I do enjoy poke, I ended up ordering one of their featured hot plates: Teriyaki Chicken. It was served with rice, shishito peppers, some fresh veggies, and macaroni salad! This was delicious, and a large portion for the price. I would absolutely order this again, and would love to try some of their other rotating hot dishes as well. Parking is easy at ONEC1TY and free for two hours with your registration. I also noticed they have some fun Hawaiian drinks and even butter mochi, which I'd love to try next time. There's some seating outside, but it is mostly a to-go experience. Check it out!

While in Nashville, I visited three of them (as far as I can tell, there are only three in the city). The Pearl Diver is far and away the best tiki bar in Nashville. The drinks are excellent, with both classics and unique creations on the menu. The service is quick and friendly. I couldn't believe how fast the bartender could crank out quality tiki drinks! She knows what she's doing. The food is tasty, with a fun Asian/Latin American fusion that fits the theming. Perhaps most importantly to me, the atmosphere was on point. I go to a tiki bar to relax and escape the busyness of a big city. For that reason, they should be laid-back, tropical, and festively decorated. This place checks all the boxes!

Our experience at Pearl Diver was unfortunately disappointing from the moment we walked in…read more This was actually our third attempt at enjoying a nice evening there, following two previous visits that were also marked by confrontational interactions and poor food and beverage experiences. We had hoped this visit would be different. We entered and stood at the front host stand for approximately 2-3 minutes with no host present. Unsure how seating worked, I walked to the bar to ask for assistance and was immediately yelled at by the bartender for my ID. As I retrieved it from my wallet, the bartender walked away. While I was still holding my ID out, a second bartender asked what I needed. I asked if there was a host, and was told "no." When I responded asking how seating worked, I was told to "find a seat." At that time, all visible seats were full. I walked back to the entrance to explain the situation to my wife. We re-entered and asked a group who were occupying only half of a larger seating area whether the remaining space was available. Their response was that they believed others were coming later. I then attempted to walk past the bar to see if there might be additional seating in the back, and was again yelled at by the bartender demanding my ID -- despite having just presented it moments earlier. The lack of organization, combined with repeated confrontational interactions from staff, made what should have been a pleasant evening uncomfortable and unwelcoming -- particularly disappointing given that this was our third effort to give the establishment another chance.

I took a look at the menu and it didn't really resemble what most food trucks offer. The offerings indicated someone who cooked using a bit of flair and looked like they knew how to enhance a dish with sauces. I selected the Rosemary Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas. Now these are not like any quesadilla I've had as a "appetizer" at many restaurants, this was a creative melding of intricate flavors into a quasi-soft shell taco/quesadilla. The grilled chicken had great flavor and the bacon and ranch really complemented the quesadilla. The tortilla was perfect, slightly crisp, and held the entire quesadilla together and didn't fall apart after the first bite. To top it all off...I got to meet the owners/operators Frankie and Tony Wong. This couple works hard, serve up great food, and are really fun to talk to. Highly recommend you like and subscribe to their FB Page. Their menu is a dry erase board and changes daily, I can't wait to see what special item they will create next. https://www.facebook.com/Myrootsfoodtruck

The TRIPLE LAYER TOMATO AND BASIL GRILLED CHEESE ON SOURDOUGH was delish! Soft, with a crunchy outside and surprisingly not too much bread. A good amount of cheese and flavor. I'd definitely recommend. CRINKLE CUT FRIES were over cooked. I'm sad to say I didn't even finish them, which is rare for me since this cut of fries is my absolute favorite! Just too crunch and the flavor was heavy on the oil, rather than potato. Total cost was $9 before tip, which made it one of the least expensive items on the truck. Customer service was professional. Food was made quickly and from order. Pretty good, IMO.

Yesterday... J (my…read moreson): "Why did you hold up the line at Shotgun Willie's?" PAUSE! Do I seem like the type of dude that would hold up the line? I got my faults, vices, mannerisms, OCDs, lack of patience, and all that, but.... Wait a second. I got a lot (a ton) of people reading these reviews now but many readers are just people looking to see if this place is good. It's not about me, is it? I guess I should add narcissistic to my list above. I'm actually not at all. But we'll roll with it. If it makes one or two people feel better. One Week Ago... J ordered brisket with two sides and Texas toast. He told me to get the brisket. But I was thinking logically at the time and thought I could just taste his brisket while I got ribs. I got ribs because if you scroll down on the reviews, some dude from Canada said it was the best ribs he ever had. Maybe he had only tasted Canadian Ribs. I actually don't know if he's from Canada. I just wanted to say he was from Canada. But he did leave a review. As I approached the dude (and former drummer) behind the counter, I inquired about a half-and-half plate--as in 1/4 lb and 1/4 lb. Instead of 1/2 lb of brisket, ribs, or smoked chicken. I know this is a famous place with Michelin mentioning but I had never seen a BBQ place with no half-and-half. This inquiry led to him explaining what he could and couldn't do with half-and-half. I was only following at about 36% of what he said, which made me feel like I was back in 8th Grade Spanish class and the teacher said, "Cómo estuvo tu semana?" I stared back at him as if I knew what he was saying and nodded my head and played it off with: "Nah. I'll just get the ribs then. Thanks though!" So, did I hold up the line? Maybe but it wasn't intentional. As for the brisket and ribs (and other food items).... The brisket was superb. The ribs were good yet nothing amazing. The Mac 'n Cheese was very good and would probably be loved by most. The green beans were very wet. I like some things very wet but not green beans. As for the Texas Toast, it was just a big piece of white bread with no taste. The service and atmosphere were excellent. The price for two was $56. I recommend this place but not as a regular spot and for the experience. And only if you get the brisket. I don't know much about the smoked chicken because I didn't eat it. This was a cool spot for sure but our best meal when in Nashville was for $14 at a pizza place, which is the review just before this one.

Really appreciated how the Hot Chicken was pan seared and kept more of the traditional Korean spices. We did find out that the Spicy Pork Bulgogi is not available anymore , but remains on tee menu as sold out. Service Get there early! Waited in line for a while and also not much seating inside or out. We were lucky to grab one open table outside. You grab a number after ordering and they bring the food to you. Self serve drinks. Ambiance The interior is small and it can be difficult to find close parking. If you don't mind walking from the next parking lot over, then you're good. Would I go back? Absolutely! The food is just too good.

Redemption Tour -- Mostly Successful…read more Full disclosure: I got pretty sick after eating here in 2021 -- my spouse too -- and we swore off the place. To our credit, neither of us left a nasty review at the time; it happens in the restaurant business. But five years of watching them stay busy and still standing convinced me it was probably a one-off, so I gave Soy Bistro another shot. I ordered the Hot Chicken -- pan-seared, chargrilled chicken breast with Korean spices, served with house coleslaw and rice. The restaurant was clean, the service attentive, and a genuine highlight: self-serve beverages with large cups of ice-cold water, which I really appreciated. The coleslaw was crisp with a terrific dressing, and the rice was spot on. The chicken itself was a touch dry and could have really used a dipping sauce to pull it all together. At $15.50 -- closer to $20 after tax and tip, I wasn't wowed by the value on this particular dish. The cheesy skillets were flying out of the kitchen and looked amazing, clearly the crowd favorite for a reason. Next visit I haven't found my dish yet, but I have a pretty good idea where to look.
