I am very familiar with Pokeworks and decided to check out this location in "The Village". Very convenient as a healthier and quick/casual food option if you're shopping here. Right next to the Barnes and Noble, with free parking right in front always a plus. The set-up is to order up at the counter, assembly-style. Unfortunately, this location didn't have as many of the toppings/menu items I like or am used to (Chicago has spoiled me!); nonetheless, my custom bowl still turned out pretty tasty. The regular size comes with a choice of 2 protein and I went with the ahi tuna and spicy tuna, which were the stars of the show. The brown rice base was a little hard and dry, like they needed to make a new batch. I was indecisive in picking a sauce, and the woman who helped me was really friendly and able to give suggestions. They have a few tables inside, but I ended up taking my order to go. My bowl ended up being around $16 all in. I would definitely recommend if you're nearby and in the mood for a poke bowl! read more

First time at a poke place in Michigan. I wanted to make sure I went to a place with a lot of turn over, because eating raw fish at a place with no customers is scary. This place seems to be popular. While overall I liked the experience and want to come back, the base rice was under cooked and very hard and crunchy in the bowl which is why I had to subtract a star. I was hoping for fresh tasting well cooked rice, but it was not. We got two bowls. My child had the spicy salmon and I had the spicy salmon and spicy tuna. The fish tasted fresh and the toppings were very good. I liked the variety of vegetables and many spicy options. I like a light spice that does not take away from the flavor, and this place delivers. I liked the fruit options, not for myself, but when I take my other child here, because I know she would go for the fruits over veg. I liked the sauces and toppings, I had a huge heaping bowl which I actually finished this time since I had a long day ahead of me (or else I would have had leftovers). We also each tried a spam musubi. Those tasted great. I was surprised how soft and tender that rice was compared to the bowl, it was perfect with a pretty good flavor. I asked if they could warm it up more but they said no. It does not quite compare to musubi in Hawaii in quality, temperature or taste and there are some bubble tea places like Quickly that do it better, for a fast food it was good and I would order it again. We also tried their mac salad. I liked the bit of spice and it was nearing Hawaii, so close. I was a bit sad their Hawaiian sun drinks were out, but my child got some POG juice. I like their fun variety of drinks. We do love Hawaiian inspired foods and we are at this shopping area multiple times a month so we will probably come back. read more

This location is in the heart of the Rochester shopping district, and pretty close to OU. It's a little different than the Troy one, but the same tasty food. The guys behind the counter walked us through all the BYO options, and today I opted for a burrito. Service was quick and friendly, and there are plenty of tables. The interior is pretty basic, but functional. I'm glad there's this location of my favorite poke chain. read more

I've never had Pokeworks before but have heard of them from their Troy location. They opened one here in the village recently and I was excited to try them out. Today was their grand opening and I'm glad I got to go! The food here's fresh and prepared the way you like. They have dishes on their menu, but really you can get the food made however you want. They have a selection of white and brown rice along with noodles as well. I didn't realize until I checked their website that they have combos? I love this! They have ample seating here with plenty of room to move around. It can get a bit loud in here at times, just an FYI. They need some noise reduction stuff so it's not so echo-y. It was hard to hear the guy behind the counter at times, but it could've also been because they were busy. The staff here's wonderful, attentive and really nice. They take their time answering any questions, I don't feel rushed and I can review and think about what I want instead of being pushed down the line quickly. I went with the Ahi spicy tuna bowl and it was really delicious. I went here a few days ago and had their Miso soup which I also recommend because it's very good. They don't have any fountain drinks just bottled drinks and drinks made in house which looked quite good. Overall I really enjoyed my time here and it's a wonderful addition to the Village of Rochester Hills. I will be back for more, so don't worry! read more

The food was bland but I liked it very filling. The workers are very friendly and kind, no complaints. The atmosphere of the place is very modern and quiet. There is a slight kick back to the lemonade, the after taste is something I can't describe but still good. read more

I've only ordered through DoorDash, so I can't speak to the in-store experience, but my takeout orders have been pretty inconsistent. It's always a surprise on what I'm going to receive. Sometimes there's way too much sauce, other times not enough, so I started asking for it on the side. Sometimes the tuna is seared to perfection, sometimes it's over cooked. Sometimes the rice is sticky, sometimes it tastes stale/old. However, the biggest issue is that they don't pay attention to modifications. I'm allergic to all onions, so I make sure to remove them from my order, but time and time again, they still include both onion and green onion. It's frustrating because it means I can't even eat the food. On top of that, when I ask for sauce on the side, it's always a gamble. More often than not, they add it inside the bowl anyway (despite the request). I can't keep taking the risk. I really wanted to like this place, and have when my order is right, but after multiple orders with the same issues, it's hard to keep coming back. read more

The worker that served me was very rude, she had a nose piercing and wore no gloves and the setting felt overall unhygienic. I would recommend door dashing, or picking up the food. read more
