Customer service, at least for when I went in was terrible. I walked in, there was nobody in there. I got no greeting. The two employees were acting like I didn't exist n were busy making a bowl (either to go for someone or for themselves). It took them about 4 min until the girl acknowledged me and asked me what I would like. Overall, poke here is great. Just not a fan of how they mix in the salads, and customer service was not great at all. Because I worked my butt off to earn rewards by frequenting this place, and had earned enough for a medium bowl. I went in today and ordered my usual, only to get to the counter and was informed that they no longer had the rewards program because they switched systems. No warning, no chance at redemption, no offer of honoring the rewards that a loyal customer had accumulated. Such a bummer. Poke Bar is hands down my favorite poke place! They offer quality ingredients and quality service! As with many other poke places, you build your own poke bowl here. You get to choose the size, the base (salad, white rice, or brown rice), type of fish, sauce, and lastly, the toppings. I love that the fish here is always fresh, and I also love the taste & variety of their sauces! I usually order a small bowl, and that's usually plenty of food for me! If you're coming here for the first time, I would recommend trying out the dynamite sauce (that's my personal favorite). Also, note that you can get your bowl with half salad and half rice to get the best of both worlds ;) Lastly, I just want to comment about the exemplary service. All the employees are so friendly and patient! One of my friends has a pretty strict diet, and whenever he comes, the employees are always happy to help him weigh his fish and rice portions. I did order a small but this was like a kid size 6" diameter mini bowl for $11.99! They were very skimpy with everything; even the spring greens I chose rather than rice! The sauces and flavors were ok...a bit bland for my taste and I chose the spiciest sauce they had. Don't come here if you're expecting superb food because it is not here. Adding avocado is free but it's not good tasting avocado. They taste like the avocados you would steal from your neighbors; the neighbors who never water their plants, hence the crappy fruit. Portion size is very micro-scaled. You get 2 scoops of fish if you order small, 3 scoops if you order medium, and 5 scoops if you order large. Don't come here if you're picturing a scoop to be like the scoops from your school cafeteria. This place is one of the many poke places in Arcadia, but I will say it's one of the better ones. It's reasonably priced and definitely hits the spot when I'm craving poke. I got a medium sized bowl, which comes with 3 scoops of fish. This was a really good size, and they give a lot of fish. They have a wide variety of sauces; I got the unagi one. I think it's eel sauce? It added a pleasant sweetness to the tangy sauce that they add to all poke bowls. If you get half rice half salad, you won't be too stuffed after eating it. Small space, but perfectly efficient to execute a tasty-looking poke bowl made-to-order in sheer minutes. I went with the small bowl (two scoops of fish) and chose Spicy Tuna and Yellowtail, served over greens instead of rice. I asked one of the guys which sauce is closest to a vinaigrette since I don't like creamy dressings, and he mixed a little of this & that with some spicy concoction, along with my toppings and SHAZAM lunch is served! I must say, it was perfectly fresh and delightful! This is a totally healthy meal you can feel good about eating on a regular basis. There's three different sizes of bowls here-- small (2 topping), medium (3 topping), and large (5 topping). I usually get the medium with octopus (great choice for reducing blood pressure, btw), shrimp, and salmon. I ordered the medium bowl half and half (half brown rice half greens which is 9.8 after tax) which comes with three scoops of fish. First was the salmon, spicy tuna then yellowtail. The fish looked really nice and appetizing to look at. I really wanted to have everything especially the shrimp even though I do not usually eat shrimp. However, the portions for fish looked really small. This was a pretty combo because it's crunchy, soft, and chewy. The sauces was also a good combo because you got best of both worlds with spicy & sweet. The only suggestions for improvement is that it's not a good thing when the toppings (cucumbers) are BIGGER than the tuna itself. The bowls are cheaper than what you would find at other places and avocado is free! I got the salmon in Dynamite, Shoyu, and Miso sauce and I also got the dynamite and miso sauce on my rice which made everything super flavorful and delicious. I usually don't get avocado with my poke but since it was free here I have to admit it's pretty good and now I want avocado w my poke everywhere else. This is my new go-to poke place now since it's pretty close to home. It's a little bit pricy but the cuts of fish are a decent size. The taste and freshness are just fine here. It would be great for someone who eats rice but since I avoid rice, I need to eat a second lunch afterwards. It's a bad value in my book. At Pokimetry and Ahi Poke, a $8.99 medium poke salad does a great job of filling me up. However, Poke Bar's small portions in their small bowl doesn't satisfy me. The tiny scoops of tiny pieces of fish doesn't do it for me. :( I finished the bowl in 5 minutes (skipped breakfast) and was still hungry. There were a few mistakes: the girl behind the counter dumped my fish into my friend's bowl, leaving me with a lone scoop of spicy tuna. Even with the extra fish we got, I was still hungry. Second mistake was that the cashier gave me a TEN CENT discount rather a TEN PERCENT discount. I didn't complain since we got two extra scoops of fish from the first girl and frankly, I don't think I will be back unless they change their portion sizes.
