What in the helly was this??? Was starving and ordered dinner takeout from here. Got the wagyu patty curry omurice and the presentation was promising. However, the moment I cut open the patty, that thing was RAW af!!! I mean like medium rare is understandable but this was straight out the fridge cooked for like 2 mins and that was it. How can they even package this and serve something like this? It will definitely give me diarrhea and maybe even a stomach ache for the next week!!! Disgusting.
Stopped in for a casual meal and ordered the curry omurice. The omelet was soft and fluffy over the rice and the curry had a deep savory flavor with mild spice that didn't overpower the dish. Everything tasted fresh and well put together. I liked that the curry, rice, and protein were packaged separately. Nothing got soggy, and you can mix it yourself so the texture stays right all the way through. Portions were solid and filling without being heavy. They also offer a good variety of proteins and curry options, so it's easy to come back and try something different. Service was quick and straightforward, as you'll need to order through their two kiosks.
WHY I CAME HERE? Curry Flurry in Arcadia was one of the places that held a Yelp event several weeks back. I RSVPed for the event, but unfortunately, I did not get confirmed in for it. It's all good. I decided to come here on my own to see what they have to offer and offer them some support. FOOD: I placed my order over the phone. I paid for my order after my arrival. 1 Teriyaki Chicken Skewers Rice Bowl - flavor of the teriyaki chicken tasted off for me, veggie and rice were okay, portion was small for the price IMHO 1 Karaage Chicken - this was good, chicken was moist, batter and sauce were tasty, chicken chunks were a little small IMHO... wished they were bigger STAFF / SERVICE: The lady who took my order over the phone seemed nice and pleasant. Upon arrival, I assumed the lady who was behind the counter was the same lady. I was not greeted right away. She appeared to be the only person working the counter at the time. Anyway, she eventually greeted me. I had to wait for another 5-10 minutes for my order which was no biggie. INTERIOR / AMBIANCE: It's not a very big space. Very bright yellow wall with simple decor. Two self-ordering kiosks are available for use. There are a few tables/chairs plus limited bar stool seating. Water station for your convenience. EXTERIOR / PARKING: This place is located within the Arcadia Center shopping center. Free parking is available. There may be a time limit so please read the signs. It's not a huge parking lot, but decent for the number of businesses present. RECOMMEND THIS PLACE? I really don't know. I may be back to try their omurice item, but I'll see. If not, please don't allow my review to hold you back from giving Curry Flurry a try. Everyone's taste bud is different. You may like them. You don't know until you try. Good luck!
The shop is very an one man operation. There is almost no service. You go into the store, order at the kiosk and wait for the food. There is no music, and sounded really dead. It was at least clean. I thought what the heck, try it out anyway. I placed the order thru the kiosk, and waited approximately 10 min before it was completed. The omelet rice, wagyu burger, curry, and Potato salad were packaged separately. Food was fresh. The curry itself was very spicy and which I didnt mind. It was delicious, and I was pretty satisfied. I think the store could play some background music or something. The food was good but not the rest. For that, it gets a 3.7 out of 5.
Noticed this new curry place popped up in my hometown, so I had to check it out. It's a small, casual spot where you order through a kiosk--minimal interaction and mostly takeout-style packaging. Tonkatsu Curry Omurice - Came in separate containers. We ordered the mild curry, but it turned out really spicy (maybe they gave us the wrong one). Still, the flavor was solid and the tonkatsu was super crispy. Overall tasty! (4/5) Onsen Egg Wagyu Don - This one was great! Generous portion of rice, beef cooked well and flavorful. Definitely something I'd order again. (4.5/5) Blueberry Matcha - Nice and balanced, not overly sweet, and served in a small cup. Refreshing. (4.5/5) Mango Pomelo Sago - Decent, but I've had better. The sago pearls were a bit hard, maybe because the drink was too cold. Just okay. (3.5/5) Overall: A solid new spot! Food quality was good and perfect for a quick bite or takeout. It did take about 15 minutes for the order to come out, so call ahead if you're in a rush. Parking: Plenty--shared lot, no issues.
I already had a big dinner. Went here cuz I saw the fried milk. Like a mortadella stick, but filled with custard. Custard is not too sweet. So nice and crispy, not oily at all. You walk in and order through a kiosk. No cash. A few tables inside. Guy was busy with lots of Togo orders. Gotta come back to try their main dishes. Looks good!
Food: - omurice + waguy patty: 3/10, save your money the omlet is as thin as paper, also has very intense coloring as noted by other reviews - mac salad: 1/10, if you can even call it a mac salad - eel rice: 3/10, everything tastes prepackaged, the egg that's a part of the combo was breaking off into rectangles - besides the fries, everything tastes like it's reheated Service: - no greeting or anyone out front on a Sunday afternoon lunch time - kiosk to order - cooking staff do not tie their hair up when cooking, no gloves when handling food - the drink that comes with the combo is a syrup that the staff shakes up with water (as done in front of me) Ambiance: - spacious lot - convenient parking - little to no "ambiance", no music Will not be returning.

We ordered the wagyu patty curry omurice and the ebi tempura curry omurice. I enjoyed both the patty and the tempura. The omurice itself was okay but something about it felt a little off compared to other omurices I have had - not sure what though. Overall, the food was not bad.
This location is at a plaza that has decent amount of parking. You can easily spot it from the surrounding stores. The inside is fairly clean and they have a few kiosks to order from! I didn't see staff for most of the time during my dine-in. It was quite empty and very quiet. I wasn't sure if the order was even going to arrive or be acknowledged. The food arrived in to-go containers on a tray. The omurice was okay. The curry was actually pretty good. Nice flavor and just enough of a kick for the non-spicy option. The katsu was tough and the skin kept falling off. The skin did have a nice crispy texture and katsu sauce flavor. The chicken was better as a protein option.

We ordered at a kiosk, which was nice, and it was several minutes before I saw proof someone was working. I don't think he said a word to us the entire time! When our order was ready, he did not push it through the speaker system and he just gestured with the tray to come pick it up. The food packaging is so wasteful! We selected to dine in and still received all of our food in plastic. Plastic cutlery in a plastic bag with six total plastic containers for two meals. Also, if I wanted to eat out of to go containers, I would have ordered a to go meal. The food was just okay. The pasta salad thing (not listed as a part of the meal) smelled like nothing and looked sad and dry. Neither of us tried it. The katsu was okay, but I wish the katsu sauce was on the side. They really dumped it on. The curry was by far my favorite part of the meal with a rich, gravy flavor. All in all, I'm glad I tried this restaurant just out of curiosity, but I will not be back. Plenty of parking, though!
The food is so good. Everything I've gotten from here has surpassed my expectations. The chicken Katsu curry omurice is my go-to order. So yummy! I love the spicy curry. I also love the Wagyu patty curry omurice. The patty is made from scratch in the kitchen! The sauces that come with the patty and the chicken Katsu curry are so good, I don't know what it is, it's garlicky and soy sauce-ish and it's phenomenal. I tried the chicken teriyaki skewers too, and that was so juicy and flavorful. Tasted straight off the grill. So yummy. Go support this small business. Service is very very sparse because of limited staff but the food more than makes up for it.

Came here twice, once for a yelp event & once with my family. We enjoyed the Chicken Katsu curry, Pork katsu curry and the Unagi Don. The curry was good & the portions were generous. However, we did not like the chicken karaage, it was hard & doughy. They have indoor seating or you can order to-go. You order at a kiosk in-person or on their app & it gives you updates & lets you know when your order is ready. I loved their to-go packaging, everything was separated so it stayed fresh. The mango matcha was delicious, it had real mango bits & puree & it wasn't too sweet. read more
This is basically a fast food curry place with mostly fried food. Like most places in SGV the lot is not big enough for all the businesses in the mini mall, but you can usually get a parking. On Sunday night around 5:00 the restaurant was deserted. Nevertheless, it seemed like only one lady was doing all the food prep by herself. We had to wait maybe 20-30 min minimum for our order. When she was mostly done making it, another man came in the front door, put his dinner from another fast food place on the counter and started helping her. Like many new places, order is by kiosk only and they do not take cash. Highly recommend you skip the in-store wait and just order ahead on your favorite services that they take and allow 20-30 min to get there so you do not end up waiting in-store. The food quality was mixed. The spicy curry was too hot for us even though the flavor was good. The amount of meat and egg and overall food is not that big and you are mostly filling up on rice. That is not worth the post-Covid and inflation prices they are charging. The food tastes ok, but is not as good as comparable places or sit-down Japanese restaurants. The mild curry was not too hot and had good flavor. The potato salad texture is different, but tastes ok. We did not know one comes with each dish and so we accidentally ordered an extra. For maybe $5.99 or $6.99 it was totally not worth it. Even though we ate different dishes and did not share we both got mild food poisoning from here. We got: potato salad, chicken katsu curry, unagi bowl, and omurice bowl and a mango flurry. You definitely need massive lactade if you are lactose intolerant to drink their flurries and other yogurt drinks. Only really worth a try if you order ahead, really want take out and are in the area, and order two dishes and don't eat all the rice if you are pretty hungry and expect to pay a lot for it. read more
Another restaurant has taken over this location and now it's curry flurry... I don't think they're going to last based off my visit. When I visited, the two staff were just sitting on their phones and vaping. There's two self order kiosks which uses a mix of photos taken of the dish and also AI images so what you se isn't what you get. After some time, we got our food to eat. All the food was packaged for to go so it didn't matter if you ate it there or took it out. The curry was obviously microwaved - the center was ice cold and the surrounding curry was very hot. The mashed potatoes that came with the dish were ice cold. The karaage was covered in a seaweed mayo and had no other flavor. All in all, won't be coming back and don't recommend it. The curry here is absolutely delicious! Service was wonderful, online order a breeze. Everything was packaged beautifully and ready to go on time. Small space with a bit of indoor seating, but as mentioned their packaging is sturdy and everything is labeled and portioned out perfectly. The flavors are on point, and you can really taste the attention to detail and care they put into each dish. Prices and portions are fair, great option if you are looking for authentic Japanese curry in the area! read more
I got the omurice with chicken katsu and curry sauce. The egg omelette was soft, delicious and yet quite substantial which I appreciated. The curry sauce was spicy even for medium. So if you are not a heat person, ask for mild. I enjoyed the food. The packaging was super cute too! The interior is simple and casual with a few small tables for dine-in guests. The curry from this place is wonderful. They have one of the best omurice and curry I've had in LA. I had fish katsu curry, which also comes with side dishes. The drink is delicious, although it's premixed so you can't adjust the sweet level. The server looked quite unhappy and took a long time to come to the front of the restaurant after ringing the bell though. read more
I saw on Facebook that there was a new Japanese curry restaurant in Arcadia that was in soft opening, but recently transitioned to a grand opening. There weren't a lot of photos or reviews, so I decided to come give it a try. I came with my wife for dinner. It's an extremely small hole in the wall, and food is ordered strictly by kiosk. The staff are nice. The seats are a bit small though, not a lot of space for larger groups. This is really the type of place that you can take one or two friends to, for a fast casual experience. I ordered the wagyu patty (hamburg) curry omurice, and my wife got the kani (crab) cream croquette curry omurice. Mine was not spicy, and my wife got spicy. The entrees came with miso soup and some cabbage with dressing. The salad was fairly standard as was the soup. I wish I had more curry sauce for all the hamburg steak, the omurice, and the rice itself. It did not feel like it was enough sauce for everything. But the omelette was good, the hamburg was very juicy and tender, and the sauce was solid. read more

Came here with some friends tonight to eat curry. You place your order at kiosk and you have a seat and wait. Though the wait was quite long for a fast food joint that wasn't really busy at all so I suggest you place your order before you arrive. Give yourself at least 25 minutes even if you plan on eating there. The place is smallish and the tables are fixed so you can't move it around. Definitely not for large parties since there are only five small round tables each comfortably can seat three people and there are a couple of wall seats for single eaters. I ordered a chicken karaage curry omurice rice spicy flavor and ordered my mom the teriyaki chicken skewers over rice. The spice level was really spicy at all but for a $1.00 more you can get really spicy but I didn't try that option. I was expecting the omurice to be a little more wet but it was basically a scrambled egg over my rice. My mom actually enjoyed her meal. She said the chicken was tender and she was able to eat it with little issue. She requires tender meats or she has a difficult time eating so a plus there for goodness. As for my chicken karaage she would've had a difficult time eating that since the chicken was over cooked and hard to even fork it with the plastics. I wasn't too thrilled with it myself. The omurice and curry were the highlight for us. My friends had the double wagyu patty rice bowl and she enjoyed that. Another two friends had the tonkatsu curry omurice and they enjoyed their dishes as well. The packaging of the items are solid and good quality. We also ordered drinks. I got myself the blueberry yogurt and my mom the mango pomelo sago. I thought my drink was kinda bland and my mom didn't finish her drink so not sure her thoughts on that one. Overall the place can grow into a place where people will come back to and thrive. read more

This is a new spot that opened by my house, so I thought I'd give it a try. This restaurant is located within a plaza and shares a large parking lot and so parking has never been an issue. It has very limited seating inside so I would recommend ordering takeout. I ordered tonkatsu omurice and selected spicy for my curry . It was probably one of the best tonkatsu I've had in awhile. The batter isn't caked on and it has the perfect amount of crispiness. It isnt dry and is super flavorful. I only wish they gave more of the tonkatsu. The curry was also delicious. The spicy curry is spicy but if you really like spicy, I would recommend going for the extra spicy option. Even though I ordered takeout, the set up is beautiful. My takeout order came in separate boxes so the food didn't mix together which I really appreciated. the Mac salad could have more flavor though. price point was fair and the service was friendly. I would definitely come back to try their other items, and get that tonkatsu again, yum! read more
This review is purely for the take out experience. Even though it's take out, the presentation of the food was pretty good. I got the tonkatsu omurice. Everything was individually packaged to prevent the rice from getting soggy, which was nice. I gotta say, the egg from the omurice was so thin... it would've been better if it was thicker. Other than that, the curry flavor was delicious and ooo that spicy curry was spicy! If you can't handle spicy, I suggest to opt out for no spicy. Overall, it was delicious and definitely will return to try other items. read more
Since I had such an amazing experience dining in here the first time around, I immediately thought of here for a to-go order since it was on the way home from visiting my bf at the hospital nearby to try their other menu items. Downloaded and ordered through the app per the owner lady's recommendation. Ordered the Unagi Tamagotchi Don and the Onsen Egg Wagyu Don. Arrived at designated time, but app still noted that the food was being prepared. Went in the store to check, but there was no one at the front. Saw on the counter that my order was bagged and ready, but didn't know if I could just grab and go; rather worrisome that someone could just do that though since no one is at the counter. Stood and waited for roughly 10-15 min before owner lady reappeared from the back. Maybe because it was late and she had a long day, and there were two other customers waiting, but she was rather curt when I asked and pointed at my bag of food for pick up. She never asked to verify my order, which was concerning, and just pushed the bag towards me. She did wish me a nice day flatly before turning her attention back to another customer who waiting for his order. Btw, my order was still marked as "preparing" when I got back to my car, and only became "ready for pick up" when I arrived home lol. All in all, the food here is amazing. Loved both bowls that I tried, just as much as I enjoyed the food there the first time. I really want to go back and try more dishes, but this last service experience was sadly discouraging. Take yourself (even better, a friend) to a speedy/yummy meal. We went on a a lazy weekend afternoon. Two super easy kiosk for ordering. We decided to dine-in. The food was brought to our table. We tried the eel/tamago rice, chicken katsu oyako don, and the wagyu patty don and also FRIED MILK!!! The meat was tender. The food flavoful. We got the red pickle which added to the flavor. The food also came with Japanese spice packets and that was actually the highlight. The friend mill was so good also. Whats not to like quick, easy, no-mess, no frills japanese comfort food. read more

Went back to Curry flurry after we saw a coupon on the back of our Vons receipt. Unfortunately after 3 months there's definitely been a change since the first time we tried this restaurant. This time we ordered tonkatsu curry omurice, and their onsen egg wagyu don. I originally wanted their tonkatsu oyakodon but they said it's not available. Oh well I was able to get $10 off my order so it's still a great deal... or is it.. Maybe because I got there 1 hour before closing and 1 day after Christmas and I used their coupon... Got my order and took it home to eat with my husband. First thing that was off I didn't get the Mac salad with my curry and I only got one broccoli with my katsu also the egg on the rice wasn't covering it completely. Guys times must be tough.. They still gave out a lot of the red pickle my faveThe pork katsu and curry is still delicious but the rice was hard and not fresh. I asked my husband how was the wagyu don and he said it was ok the rice was definitely not fresh and the onions were not as soft as others we've ate. So anyways. If you haven't tried this yet it might still be worth trying. but if you use the Vons coupon you might be getting the discount, but you also might be getting short some side and portion. Parking: Curry Flurry is located in the same plaza as Sin Bala. Parking might be a bit difficult during peak hours. Interior: The interior is pretty small. There were four small round tables for 2 and a bar to sit at. A lot of people were waiting at the bar so it was pretty much unavailable for indoor dining. Service: I arrived at 11:50 am on Sunday. I thought it was a soft opening but saw a sign that said grand opening out front. All the round tables were taken up by a single family so everyone else there was ordering takeout. I noticed that everything was served in to-go containers anyways. There were two people ahead of me. There were two kiosks to order from. There was one person behind the counter packing everything and bring the dishes to the tables. Unfortunately she seemed overwhelmed. Despite this being their grand opening, several items on their menus were unavailable. This included the tonkatsu and wagyu beef. While waiting for my order, she called me over to tell me that there was no tonkatsu despite the fact that I didn't order tonkatsu. Shortly after my order was placed, she called someone else over to tell them that they did not have chicken katsu either. It took about 35 minutes for my food to be ready. She called out my name and walked up to a random person and handed them my order. I was a bit confused because she mumbled the name and told the guy to enjoy and check that everything was there. It was a good thing that the guy checked because he noticed that it wasn't his name on the order. I asked him if it was mine and he handed it to me. I left before the two people ahead of me got their orders. Food: I got the Chicken Katsu Curry Omurice, Ebi Tempura Curry Omurice, and the Kani Cream Croquette Omurice. They all came with a seaweed soup with fish balls and a basic lettuce salad. I thought the omurice would at least be fried rice given how long our orders were taking but it was actually just plain white rice with an omelette on top of it. Pros: Presentation was nice. The proteins were crispy, curry was just the right amount of spicy, and the omelette was not overcooked. Cons: The rice was undercooked so it was hard and was almost had the texture of brown rice. The Kani Cream Croquette was basically a blob of cream with no hint of crab. They gave very little curry per serving of omurice. Each one filled up about 1/4 of the to-go container. Unfortunately, it was a very mediocre experience. If the guy who was handed my order actually left with my food and I had to wait another 30+ mins, then I would have been furious. I understand this is a grand opening but hopefully they can iron out their issues. I might try it again in the future. read more

Food here was tasty! Loved the Tonkutsu Curry Omurice and Onsen Egg Wagyu Don as well as all the drinks. The fried pork was crispy. The Wagyu Don was yummy. The mango pomelo sago was great at first but the balls turned hard towards the end when I finished it cuz it got cold so it harden. Other than that, good came out efficiently and service is great for introverts in a chill vibe with lots of parking in the plaza. read more
